    Well I thought I had made my decision on a RTT until I saw this, so much attention to detail and looks extremely well made.
    Just one question on the ladder, are the foot rungs angled so when you use the ladder they sit flat on against the sole of your feet? , it’s safer and less painful 🙏

      You will have to check the roof load rating of your car, I am pretty certain this would be too heavy, look at something like an ikamper roof top tent that will be lighter and better suited for a Tucson

    • @TheBushCompany
      @TheBushCompany  29 днів тому

      The tent can hold up to 50Kg in the open position and remain open unaided. When closed the max weight load is 200Kg. There are no issues with leaking when driving.

    Do you need to season these tents? What's the recommended process if so

    • @TheBushCompany
      @TheBushCompany  Рік тому

      Hi Billy, please see the Care and Maintenance recommendations below.
      Care and Maintenance
      We recommend that new tents are thoroughly wet down on the outside before first use. This will ensure that your swag or tent performs well in wet weather by allowing the poly/cotton corespun thread and canvas to swell ensuring the take up of any potential leaks in the stitching.
      Cleaning Canvas:
      -Do not use soap or detergents on the canvas.
      -Do not store the product if wet, allow drying first.
      -To clean use a soft brush and cold water.
      -Do not expose to petrol, oils or harsh chemicals.
      Cleaning mould:
      -Allow mould to dry
      -Remove surface mould off with stiff bristle brush
      -Vacuum the area
      -Treat area with Oil of Clove spray (diluted spray can be purchased or can be mixed using a few drops of oil into a spray bottle of water)
      Condensation:
      -Condensation is a natural occurrence in cold weather. In confined areas like tents the body releases more moisture than the canvas can dispose of. To help to reduce condensation build up, we recommend keeping some of the windows open on the tent to enable airflow on cold nights. If you are not using your tent for an extended period of time (more than 10 days) we recommend opening the tent regularly to allow it to air out, and possibly even remove the mattress and store it separately until your next trip.

    Not shur i like the struts just bolted into the rail , what happens if a bolts loosens over time and the strut moves location ,? Binding or misalignment? I would rather see them have their own mounting point or better yet welded in place . A gas strut is always under load and mostly while compressed , lets say its closed and the bolts are just loose enough it forces one end to slide , now your gas strut is fully extended while closed and it dont open , just something i noticed thats all , nice product but needs some improvements still .....

Nothing annoys me as much as having to go back to 1960 to dig up pounds, ounces, gallons and miles, to convert it to the metric system. You, instead, respect your audience and also your customer. Great stuff.
