    Super helpful video! Just assembled and started running my new Atezr L2 24W with roller rotary and Lightburn. Newbie question 1: Any advice on how to properly set the Origin (current position? user? absolute?) so I can avoid crashing into the rails. Second question: how does Home work when the rotary is in use? Thanks so much.

    Another great video my friend. I noticed at 7:24 you were etching the white coffee mug without anything sprayed on the mug and getting the black Mellowpine LOGO. Do you mind telling me your Speed/Pwr LPI settings for the black logo on the white mug?

      Thank you so much. I used white spray paint on a white coffee mug which is why you couldn't see the coating. I used 80% power at 65 mm/s and 254 LPI on my 20W diode.

      @@MellowpineLasers Thank you sir! What did you have to use to remove the paint?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  7 місяців тому

      I didn't let the paint dry for too long, some 10 minutes and engraved it. It came off with some paint thinner.

    Your video was very informative. Thanks I am new to engraving. I purchased a creality falcon2 22w. I'm trying to engrave a softball. I set-up the rotary laser. When I go to frame it doesn't frame the same as the test ln laser tool. Can you help? Thanks in advance

      @MellowpineLasers  4 місяці тому

      You should be able to calibrate your rotary using the steps in the video. But if your laser frames properly during the test and doesn't frame the same after you exit the rotary setup, then make sure you have Rotary Enabled in LightBurn after closing the Rotary Setup window.

    Okay, so I just got my Longer Rotary roller in the main and lightburn won't allow the test or print. LaserGRBL does, however its not printing properly. Why can't Lightburn allow the rotary to be set as active (Enabled)?

    I've watched your video over and over and when I press start on my Lightburn app (Gwieke Cloud Pro 2), the red error light immediately turns on. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Please help me troubleshoot :)

      Hi,
      Are you facing the issue only when using the rotary setup in LightBurn or do you face the same issue in the Gweike Cloud software as well?

    Can I use a Rotary from XTool and roller from XTool on the ORTUR laserMaster 3 OR laser pro 2 S2 I have the pigtail, but I'm not sure if it's compatible. Somebody gave me their X Tool rotary & Chuck . I just need to know if it's compatible it's a five pin connector, but only using 4 wires center pin is not being used between the five pins.

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  2 місяці тому

      It should work. If it doesn't you would have to rewire the connectors and match the correct pairs. Shoot me an email at mail@mellowpine.com if you need any help.

    Will the laser power parameters be the same for different materials if using rotary setup?

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  3 місяці тому +1

      More or less the same but it would be good if you could use low speed settings on rotary. Say you engrave at 40% and 20mm/s on a rotary you can lower it to 20% at 10 mm/s. High speed can produce jerky movement in some cases.

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  3 місяці тому +1

      But you should try to keep a good balance or else your engraving time would be longer

    Hi Sir ,
    Can you please tell me which machine is best for bottle and steel

    • @MellowpineLasers
      @MellowpineLasers  6 місяців тому +1

      For glass bottles a CO2 laser would be easier. However, if it is not a production environment you can make do with a diode laser. For steel, a fiber laser is the ideal choice but diode can put marks on steel as well. If it's coated metal, any laser can remove the coating to put your design on the material.
      You can choose any laser that has a rotary accessory support.
