Well Done! Little Tip, I have a 30w Fiber Galvo and tried several different methods including putting it on stainless steel which was the best option I found on the internet until I tried something I haven't seen anyone else do you should try because I felt it came out twice as nice! I taped the Malayan black aluminum business card blanks to the backside of my glass and the results were easily twice as nice resulting in a nice black marking. It didn't arc or splatter nearly as hard as the stainless steel. Just something for you guys to try.
Another excellent video! I've had my diode laser (X-Tool D1, with both 10 and 20 watt heads) for a couple years, and have played with glass on and off. Your tips and tricks are, as always, useful for the beginner as well as someone whose been around awhile. May fortune and happiness forever shine down on you.

Love the older video on glass engraving. Found this new one after subscribing and this one is even better. Can I use the engraving method to actually cut a perfect circle from a piece of glass that is 3mm or 6mm thick? If engraving can cut 0.125 inches (3.18mm) deep, can it cut a perfect circle from a 3mm glass? For 6mm, can I run the process twice, or engrave one side then flip it over to complete the circular cut? And it can be done, do you recommend diode or CO2 or Fiber laser? Thanks!
Super informative video and I love the TLDR segment (I watch it all anyway). Can you recommend lasers that would score white or colored borosilicate glass (not clear)? Not looking to etch wide lines, just score fine lines for subsequent breaking apart. Thanks for any help!
@@MellowpineLasers It's interesting what frequency for what material is better and what is difference on details , what really happened with material .🥂
Hey there - got very good results following your instructions for Glass (Bottles and Jars) with a 10 W Diode Laser and Galvanising Compound. Thanks a million! However I fail engraving wine glasses the thin glass all cracks all the time. Do you have respective suggestions regarding speed and power for that kind of work?
Thanks for doing this video! This is the most informative one I have seen on glass. I have a 20W diode and your video says 75% power and 7500mm speed. My laser has a max of 600mm so what would you recommend? Where do you get your glass from? Thanks again for your videos!
The speed I mentioned is in mm/min. So 7500 mm/min would be 125 mm/sec. Can you check whether the top speed of your laser is 600 mm/sec. If it is, you can run it at 125 mm/s
Hallo, welche Parameter brauche ich für ein 30 Watt MOPA Faserlaser, bei mir ist immer die Option Q-Puls aktiv Liebe Grüße und Danke aus Deutschland top Video!
Hi! I tried the black tempera paint method with an Xtool D1 pro 20w with your recommended settings but the paint is burnt into the glass. I couldn't wash it from the engraved surface. What was my fault? Can you recommend some sulotion?
Dear, i used sculpfun s30-10W to engrave triple glazed glass (6mm+1.52mm+6mm+16mm air space+13.5mm) glass. First try was ok, but 3 time glass cracked. Can you suggest the best way to engrave. Any contact to reach you.
Hi Dear, i want to engrave company and on skylight glass of a mall. (Its 28 mm thick total). With Sculpfun S30 -10W laser. In long time will that have any effect on the glass? (Will it get cracked in a time of an 2-3 years)?
Are you talking about the Blazer Orange Laser Mask? I haven't used it but I think it's used for sandblasting. You engrave the design using a laser, which removes the mask from areas with the design and then you use sand blasting to engrave the exposed glass.
Yes, that's it. Sold by Ikonics. There are some videos out there showing it for just laser engraving, but I haven't had much luck with it. I think I'll try Tempura Paint. Thank you for your video and Reply!!@@MellowpineLasers

You are the best laser information UA-camr out there. Great work and I appreciate your effort.
Thanks man, means a lot 😊

Thank you so so much. Comments like these encourage me to do more. I really appreciate it. All the very best on your laser projects.
Superior content! Info packed and extremely well delivered and produced.
I love your newsletter have learned quite a bit from them. Started using laser in October of last year and due a lot of glass and mirrors

Great and informative video! Thank you! Could you please recommend a beginner inexpensive laser engraver for glass 🙏👍
i wish one of the lasers was UV laser ! nice details Sir

Thank you for this... also I have a fiber laser and would like to understand more about frequency
I have only diode but interesting about frequency too.
Do you think I should make a video on it? If I do, could you tell me what all I should address in the video?

Excellent video, thank you
Thanks for the really helpful content. Does using thicker glass help resist cracking when using a fiber laser?

good info, please dedicate more videos toward co2 lasers
Thanks. Will come up with more CO2 videos in future 😊

You're welcome 😊
If you’re doing the fiber method did it also engrave the steel underneath?
Think yes, beam is very powerful in focus dot.
Sadly, yes. But I tried my random orbit sander on it and managed to remove the engraving. You can reuse the sheet if you use low power settings

Hello I'm curious what are these glasses and what exactly you want to reach?
Regards

6:46min i got better results when I wet cardstock with water ,30w diode.
Makes sense, the cardstock would stick to the glass surface better and there won't be any gap. Brilliant!
Have you ever used Blazer Orange to engrave glass? I’m trying to use it but it’s not working very good for me.
