"Mister Wick . . . do enjoy your party." That line always gives me chills.
And also the respect that comes with this line is on another level.. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't help but think of Tron Legacy when he says that - when his character in that party is over...
Grammar!?
Yup. That dude knows someone is about to get wacked.
@@fdsjlaf oh GOD.
This scene truly embodies the legend of John Wick, you see it by how people treat him.
Until some random Italian ruined his life
Well he's just in that underworld and that's how sales professionals treat customers never shopped anywhere high end before?

Love how the Gun Carrier talks about guns like how Gordon Ramsay talks about food.
When he said "Robust and precise", I got a little chill up my spine.
Look at you stealing someone's comment for likes
Yeah. Who's that actor? He's really great
@@tomcat8445 that's UA-cam for ya🤣
He is the Gordon Ramsey in the Guns Manufacturing industry..which is the exact reason John Wick is his regular customer.
I dont know why the gun carrier saying "dessert" with that happy smile just fills me with joy, its like he's been waiting for that moment the entire discussion.
Walking encyclopedia of firearms, but has a soft spot for blades…..is my guess.
I wonder how many people forget dessert. Then in walks John and he recognizes a true expert when he sees one. I think the smile was an appreciation for the man who remembered the fine details.
@@roybokelman4215 Who doesn't have a soft spot for blades?
He's a knife guy at heart....guns just pay the bills....😪
@@jkl9984 Yeah no kidding! Every spot is soft for a blade, if you think about it.
Peter Serafinowicz hamming it up as the Sommelier is one of the best parts of the movie!
The finest #2 pencils… all freshly sharpened.
He is perfect ... and scary at the same time.
3:21 The look after Wick asks about desert is priceless.
I kept expecting him to say "ABDICATES"
I can listen to him talk about guns all day
I love that the Sommelier knows full well that he is delivering the tools of a bloodbath to the grim reaper, but still relishes in it.
That is his job and the business he's in.
When she says I've never known him not to be, seems like the sommelier stays in won't go out to eat or use the restroom
"....do enjoy your party" brilliant
He knows its going to get "wet..."
He loves his job like a true professional
I love how john looks like hes bored, uninterested or distant throughout the whole process. But yu can tell hes listening very closely and tries everything out like hes really gonna use it. It really does make it seem like he was happy to get away from it all, and is regretful about his forced revival.
It works well with the conciseness of it all, especially with the tailor. The questions are simple and his answers are to the point, yet at the same time he’s willing to play along with the sommelier. Requesting a tasting instead of saying “I want to have a look at your range of weapons” and he doesn’t simply ask for more guns, but rather “something for the end of the night” and even going so far as to request dessert
you have to wonder, if Wick knows the reputation of the Sommelier enough, so that when the Sommelier says "I can wholeheartedly endorse.." means he highly recommends it fits Wick's style. And Wick does not argue out of any nostalgia towards his past fondness of his past gun brands. If Sommelier recommends it, Wick will use it.
And how many clients has the Sommelier had who never asked for any dessert?
Wick comes in, asks for Sommelier's recommendations and asks for dessert, which brings a smile to the Sommelier. Great customer to a great gun salesman.
@@joshuamarshman101 I have never heard the word "sommelier" in my life, and today I heard it twice, in unrelated events.

He paid more for the map because anyone can do anything with a gun, but knowledge is the real weapon that John wick has over others
Moreover, the price may be greater because it is information sensitive to a member of the High Table. My guess is the "Official" vendors have inmunity to work with anyone in good standing with the Table, since otherwise the whole system would collapse if criminals were constantly outbidding or bribing all service providers, because they would become unreliable and useless to assassins. That being said, while all the other vendors could claim innocense if questioned whether they knew about Mr. Wick's target (body armor and guns are pretty standard for any job), the archivist might still catch some flack for his part in helping, because due to the nature of his work, he could probably guess who the target was. Now, I'm guessing he might not be hunted for his transgression (he wouldn't have risked his business otherwise), but he's most likely more costly, as a way to safeguard the information from at least most of the average headhuntersand minor gangs. This way, only big players can have a crack at someone big.
@@estebanpineros9409 Yup
Knowledge & Finese
The "price" is a favor for a favor basically. There's no monetary value to the coins. It's about a social contract, like what was said in Chapter 3.
While yes, one coin equals one "Service". He paid the guy 3 coins because he did 3 things for him. Found him the maps, explained the maps to him (which persumably all but the modern estate one are in ancient Italian John probably doesn't know well) and gave him the keys to get in.
'Textured grips should your hands get,... wet.' is one of the best delivered lines in movie history.
I like that they acknowledged a map man in this movie. Any hit man worth his weight in gold knows that the most important part of a hit is getting to your target. Someone did their homework.
One of those lines that says: knowledge is power. John Wick is one of the best if not the best. He knows what to do!
Well, getting away has something to do with it too.
Agreed, this is an assassination, not a suicide run
Not only that, it’s knowing your exits and any possible choke points or areas you can take advantage of against multiple people.
Thats why he was given the most money 😏
"I need trousers, tapered."
"How about the lining?"
"Tactical."
"This is a Uniqlo sir."
Hahaha good one
"I'd like a tasting"
"Mister Wick, this is a Wendy's"
Probably some of the safest people in the John Wick universe. Nobody is going to mess with them because the society of assassins clearly depends on their services.
Yup. My guess is since they're "official" vendors (as evidenced by their payment exclusively in gold coins lime the hotel and bar), they have a certain degree of inmunity from targeting, as well as attempts at coercion, bribery, extortion, or any other secret allegiances, thereby allowing them to remain neutral and reputable.
in the world of assassins, there are no friends or enemies. There are only targets and contracts my friend.
@@yavuz9038 Mm, perhaps. But not all contracts are paid for in blood. Some are pure coin. After all, without these vital services... Why, they'd be forced to fight with common implements. Barbaric tools. Pencils, even.
As someone who likes to study filmmaking, huge shoutout to the editors of this film. They managed to perfect montage of John going to these people and make it feel seemless vs what most would have done in him going one after the other and it feel boring. Great editing choices. 👏
Very true
Yes and now watch the edit of TAKEN!!!!😂
God I loved this part of the movie. The music, the actors, the style amazing
I believe it to mean that he hopes John will come out on top and accomplish his mission without serious harm coming to him
I think I went into a LGS once and asked for "a tasting" a little after this dropped.
@@la5081 And? How'd that go?
I like that the respect people give John Wick is earned by more than just his body count. He's courteous to all staff throughout the films. He's not "friendly", doesn't say much, but he phrases his needs as requests rather than demands, listens attentively, keeps his mouth shut while they do their work, and at the end there, when the Sommelier says "Do enjoy your party", John doesn't say "Thank you", but does give him a nod that they both know means the same thing.
John he killed literally hundreds of people, and he’s respectful to employees. Be like John Wick (but don’t kill people)
@@damonedrington3453
Be like John but don't kill people. ...Instructions unclear.
The fact that the one who shows the map tells you how important and valueable is information in the assasin world
and he gets paid higher for that...
@@ManpreetSingh-ys4gw indeed
@@ManpreetSingh-ys4gw I suspect he got paid more since John looked shocked he managed to get the keys for him, which made John's job much easier. John says "well done" and hands him a stack of coins. I assume some of those coins were an extra tip,
This scene is just fucking lengendary
information is everything in his world... I am glad the writers acknowledged this with how he noticeably says "well done" and pays more to the person who provided the maps and keys to the catacombs than to anyone else
Knowledge is power when everyone has the skills on par if not more active on movement in any fight
Peter Serafinowics for me is the stand out role in this film. I always look forward to seeing his scenes. Very well done.

The line , "Textured handgrips. Should your hands get... wet." is killer.
I love how the Sommelier, Tailor and Cartographer all seem to really love their jobs. It's not just business - they're passionate about their work.
love how John is treated with utmost respect everywhere he goes. like a boss
When you are put into a impossible task and the amount of bodies he killed to build a foundation to what they represent and no arm of the Law can reach him. It’s both Fear and Respect of what John Wick not just the person is but what his actions and persona tell you
I'd like to see a back story of all the people that helped John Wick. Definitely about the gun guy!
You'll need to convince the to make a series about that xD ... and mostly yes the GUN GUY DEFINITELY

Something missing in the majority of society nowadays…. Class and respect. This scene is perfection.
I can 'wholeheartedly' agree on that. We need more of this
Yes, respect..that absolutely very2 true
The reason you think that it doesn't exist is that the younger generations don't buy into the nonsense notion that older people can do whatever they want and still be respected. Respect is earned, not given.
Everybody, who services Wick via equipment, is so well mannered and formal. No sales pitches. No drama.
“In case your hands get wet”
He is definitely not talking about water. 😆
of course because of blood
@@lordBob87 That was my point
He's not simply preparing for a murder he's preparing for a well planned assassination. Don't insult John Wick like that.
I love that he was fully planning to fight his way out, he had no delusions of leaving that place unchallenged
The assasination of a friend that is
Well, *John* is not the one doing the murder. Santino D’Antonio is forcing her to kill herself.
🙄🙄
It's a movie, it's not real, Keanu Reeves is an actor, go outside and breathe fresh air.
“Dessert”
“Dessert?” With a look of just “oh i thought youd NEVER ask.” Love it
At 3:21 I find his reaction to "dessert" amusing. The face is like "I thought you'd never ask".
The way he asks for weapons and then give details of his suit...shows he fully grasps the coming event...like he knows whats gonna happen at what moment...so for that precise moment he prepares. Something only a person who has done it countless times would do. It shows how deep keanu and his team prepared for this film. every single detail not only physical but also mental is given in the movie. this movie changed gun action for ever.
As of now with the fourth movie not being out, I think scenes like this make John Wick 2 the best in the series. It’s not just about the action or all the people who fear/respect Wick but it actually builds the world and shows in depth how some of this underground society works and operates while dropping bits of lore on the Continental and the High Table as entities separate from one another.
3:21 This always gets me.
Fr🤣
The "I thought you will never ask" face.
The gun carrier loves his job with a passion I’m sure when John asked for dessert it caught him off guard, most likely his other clientele would’ve stopped, but not our boogeyman
"Finally. A man of culture."
Find someone who loves you the way this guy loves selling weapons of murder.
“Do enjoy your party.” Oh you better believe it.
The John Wick assassin underworld is lit. I mean, seriously... All these support personnel just drip with class and style.
just imagine a video game with these same guys asking what you would like and gave you many options? would be awesome
@@Choji2011 I would buy it! They also use in the game the same people and their likeness and voices.
Nice montage of how the assassin world works with the weapons and armor shops just blended into regular stores.
Also no bullshit movie moments where the main character just instantly knows everything. John Wick still needs to get information from experts to get intel on the area he will be fighting at so he can plan out his tactics.
One of the best scenes in John Wick's franchise.
Measure a man not by how loudly he speaks, but by the respect people give to him even when he's silent.
The most favorite scene of my in all of chapters
That Seamstress shooting at the suit gets me everytime. She's seen some stuff😂. I like to think she's an ex assassin that is retired, but still keeps her toe in the water by creating tactical-wear for the highest echelons of power. You know she's got a stack of coins hidden somewhere...
She does seem like someone who has seen something so tragic in her life that it took the joy out of her life and left her almost empty going on instinct and muscle memory.
As though she has nothing left in the world but remembers her cover jobs and now spends her days going through the motions until something flips her killswitch like when she shoots the suit.
That guy getting John's gun's played a brilliant role...I Love this scene...
These Scenes are the Art of Cinema , Roles of these characters are so minimal but still each and everyone acted with so much perfection n commitment. It's Amazing

i love the face of the sommelier when john ask for dessert
His face is like "Oh finally! Someone asked."
I love how when John asks for the sommelier, the first shot is filled with wine bottles, making the viewer think “what’s he going to do with wine?” Only for the camera to pan to the wall of guns. Perfect
He treats guns like fine wines.
A nice catch is that the Sommelier is actually wearing a tastevine around his neck so he's really a sommelier and it's not just a nickname

I have rewqtched this scene and never get tired. The detail in it . Professionalism at its best
"A textured grip, should your hands get...wet." 😉 😂🤣
"Dessert?" And that follow up expression is just fantastic. Truly a man who savors his meals with every slice
The sommelier lives up to his name. He's very knowledgable and understands his customer's needs and preferences
I love the look on the sommelier's face when wick asks about dessert. Like "ah, a man after my own heart!"
so I just watched John Wick after all this time, I love how grounded and real life accurate the coreography is. the fight is a brawl instead beautifully coregraphed kungfu, the shootout, the people involved are connoisseurs.
I remember wanting to see it because I heard they were going to use BJJ (real BJJ) in it. Other movies never do the moves right. So it was like practical/actual use of the moves. I was blown away watching him train and lost it in the movie. Never mind the gun work. I've yet - over 3 movies - to find those in the know knock the film.

Sommelier: Dessert :) the finest cutlery
Wick: No I mean I want actual dessert. Like a cupcake.
Sommelier: .....
‘Custom grip, should your hands get……. Wet’ so damn cool
the guns dealer is such a chill character, I like him
You can tell dessert is his favorite. Haha
Superb writing and acting. The essence of the Wick character and the way people respond to him. Reeves makes it real. The consummate assassin.
when the gun carrier say about the Benelli M4: "...textured grip, should your gun get...wet", it took me a long time to realize the pause before the word "wet" meaning it help when your hand get blood on it
Man, those guys really enjoy their work.
As someone who used to work in a very large gun shop, the sommelier part speaks to every gun guy's soul.
The gunsmith is one of my favorite characters he talks about weapons as if they were tools in luxury cooking
One of the best things, out of everything in this film that is awesome, is how well the supporting characters portray themselves and play in each of their roles. Awesome stuff.
5 gold coins says the sommelier knows nothing about wine. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'd watch an hour long compilation of the Sommelier going over firearms and knives with various assassins for various types of jobs.

This scene certified just how badass and we’ll known John Wick is known to the underworld of assassins.
When John Wick asked for "dessert" I always fantasizes that 2 boxes are presented. The first of course has knives inside "our finest cutlery, all freshly stoned". Then opens the second box inside are pencils of different grade from 7B to H7 " are finest pencils, all freshly sharpened."
