@jose miranda I don't mean to start anything, but Super 7's Snake Mountain Playset is around 700-800 dollar range, making it impossible for regular non wealthy types to purchase one. Ok maybe $150-$200 seems reasonable due to inflation, but $800 is kinda steep don't you think? To be fair Mattel should STOP the damn subscription service and let us decide what characters we want to buy! Both companies need to make these toys more accessible. The Comic Con Exclusives are BS ways to punish fans who can't make the trip to San Diego and pluck down hard earned money for an "exclusive" figure.
@jose miranda no I haven't bought any new figures/toys in years and you do bring up some good points, but I'll say this, The Mattel/Super 7 Classic series will never be as good as the original 82-87 Masters of the Universe toy line.
I like that dudes energy. I was worried he was gonna blow it and be a total drag but he is genuinely stoked on these figs and it shows. Also that New Day Man E faces. Holy crap that thing is awesome.
Incredible!! I’m so excited for these!! So the head is on a ball joint and comes off. The arms pop off and the figure can separate at the waist and at the boot cuts!! So many customs to make!!!!
I was gonna jump back into MoTU some how but now it seems like 2020 is the time to go deep in it with the wweternia figures. If we get a LoD two bad i will freak out
I'm not sure LOD are still under deals (especially after Animal was part of the concussion lawsuit), but I would absolutely love figures of them in this style. Two Bad would be great (I'm certain I've seen some cool customs of that), but even separate figures with the spike pads would be amazing. :)
Figures I like to see: Piper as Zodac, Undertaker as Hordak, Becky Lynch as Teela, Jake Roberts as King Hiss with removable torsal to reveal snake body, the Brooklyn Brawler Steve Lombardi as Stinkor, Jerry Lawler as King Randar, Brey Wyatt as Grizzlor, Ax and Smash as Rattlor and Tung lashor, Hulk Hogan as King Grey Skull, Vince McMahon as Serpos God of Snake Mountain, Stephanie McMahon as Evil Lynn, Alexa Bliss as She Ra, Brother Love as Mantenna, Hornswaggle as Imp, Alisha Fox as Catra, Natalia Neidhart as Scorpia, Brock Lesner as Leech, Kevin Nash as Spikor, Jim Cornette as Trapjaw (with a tennis racket replacing the hook on his hand, Curt Henning as Mer-Man, Mister Fuji as Jitsu, Edge and Christian as Two Bad, Dean Malenko (man of a thousand holds) as Modulock, Batista as Tri Klops, etc.
Randy Orton as Snakeface, Shari Martel as Shadow Weaver, Chris Masters as SQUEEZE, m Chris Jehrico as Mosquitor, Titus O'neal as Clamp Champ, Pat Patterson as Ram Man (for obvious reasons.
This is so cool!!!! What a great and creative idea from Mattel, I love it! I never collected Wrestler figures before, but it looks like now I should start!
Well...I guess I'm going to buy into a WWE line...no way I'm getting the exclusives and I can't wait until next christmas to get my hands on one of these new MOTU bodies, that Ultimate Warrior and Battle Armor Macho Man are looking tight. I was never big into wrestling, but those guys were my faves.
I...I'm going to HAVE to buy these. The sculpts and accessories are amazing and the interchangeability is a tremendous selling point! Dan, can you confirm that the arms can pop out for the Con Price Adam & He-Man?
If you ask me Dan they should have kept it too more 80's Wrestlers then adding guys like HHH and John Cena and the other new wrestlers and that Sting should have been late 80's Surfer Sting. Out of the ones i like is Rey Warrior and Savage.
@@glasswolf0162 Yeah i mean if you wanted to add guys like HHH and Roman and Cena they could have saved them for last like the 2002 Masters style figures
Great video, Dan! But I can't help but wonder ... were they inspired by your Wrestlers of the Universe bootleg videos? Saw an idea, saw a market, and jumped on it?
Hey Pixel Dan, with Bill mentioning that Roman's gauntlet is removable, would you happen to know if Sting's claw hand is as well? And the official MotU FaceBook page listed these as coming out in the Spring of 2020 at Walmart (assumedly as exclusives), but with Bill not mentioning such things, should we take before Christmas 2019 and no exclusivity as what's going on with these figures? Thanks for keeping track of these figures btw, I'm super excited about them but news is mostly limited so it's great that you got to see these hands on. Oh, and speaking of, one final thing, were the elbow pads and knee pads sculpted, or separate pieces?
Man, I love this concept and the designs, and will almost certainly be getting all of these, but being among friends I do have a couple of nitpicks. 1. I wish the packaging gave them the crazy names Bill was stating through the video. Skull King is especially great. 2. This is the same problem I had with the retro series, but I wish the heads were more cartoonish. I get they already have a these heads in the system, but it throws me off to see such realistic faces on the crazy figures.
liprandi i think this is a spiritual successor to the Build A Superstar set that has Executioner Ambrose Samurai Rollins Demon Kane Shadow Vigillante Kane Zombie Undertaker
Collector booklet! That excites me more than the action figures. Now, I want a #Cartoon. I could picture #HannaBarbera Scooby Doo taking part in a cross over straight to DVD. I want #HyperForceSeason2 figures to mix in and play too. :)
Wish they made those toys back in the day when He-Man came out. Unlimited possibilities changing parts is a great idea. Do they also make the original He-Man figures true to the cartoon?
That triple H figure with the hammer really reminds me of shao Khan with that mask and shoulder pads.
I was thinking of the same thing, a low budget Shao Kahn.
Yep same
Becky Lynch as Teela, Stephane McMahon as Evil Lyn, Hulk Hogan as King Randor. Im Hyped!!!
Castle Greyskull Wrestling Ring... something I thought I will never need...until now. Curse you Mattel and your promotional genius.
😂😂😂
They need an NWO snake Mountain!

This deal will be beneficial to both the Masters and WWE.

"Alexa Bliss as She-Ra"? She looks more like Catra to me.
Can we get a Scareglow Undertaker please and thank you.
Admittedly I'm not a big WWE fan, but this looks pretty great and the mix-n-match factor, creativity and blending with MoTU looks really fun. 👍🏼
Damn. I kinda want these now. That kitbashing factor with the MOTU figures sealed it for me.
What an absolutely perplexing but fascinating combination!!!!
This is unbelievable! MOTU is the biggest it has been since the 80s right now and only gonna explode from here
This is gona be one last failure for motu before they bury it for good
@@Emolga6274 oh, to have you're excellent powers to see the future.

That New Day Man E Faces figure is awesome!
I just saw these in walmart..its actually a great idea. Neat how they have old style look but have articulation.
Dan, are the He man origins figures also getting retail release as well?
Amazing idea to customize the figures.
One year to the day later and I just purchased Braun Strowman today at Walmart. Hope the line continues!!
Since this line is released BEFORE the Origins Line, I hope this line will attract NON-Motu buyers to collect it once they are released in Fall 2020.
I seriously believe this is what Mattel is going for. I hope it works out masterfully.
Wuooo this will be a wonderfoul Idea. You got it Mattel
3:15 YES! Awesome customizing news 😆
I'm not even a WWE fan but I want these figures.
This reminds me of the WWE CREATE A SUPERSTAR figures from 2015

Uggh, these are so hard to find, and shipping if you do find them is astronomical.
Pretty smart way to bring new fans to MOTU

Is that the same buck on the MOTU Origins line?
The mix and match feature really doesn't make much sense in a line where all the figures share the same body.

Executioner Ambrose
Samurai Rollins

Shadow Vigillante Kane
