Marie’s genuine screams of terror don’t get old, lol. I’m jealous, I really wish I could get so immersed in a game like that.
Huh, the writers in the writing room really must've just brainstormed "how much horror and atrocious luck can we throw at clementine in the first hour of gameplay?" Poor girl.
The worse the wound, the more the hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, or styptic pencil seems to hurt.😭And that wound looked bad. I have high pain tolerance, and that whole process would hurt so bad! Kids seem to have brains that are more sensitive to pain too. It's even worse for people who don't know how to mentally cope with and regulate pain.
Awwwww we missed out on the most badass Clem line "STILL.NOT. BITTEN" still gives me chills
I understand why they don't get picked, but sometimes I want to see the sassy Clem options

That woman is an awful person for the most part and treats clem (a child) like shit for no reason.
The douche / Sass options are pretty valid ways of establishing Clem as no push over so the biach in question doesn't think she can walk all over her.
Same goes for pretty much every adult that's a dick towards clem in this game, Like Carters first appearance later.
If they ever happen to see this, I just want to say that Marie's a fucking champ and I'm so glad you've got her on for choice-heavy spooky games.
Since Clem didnt say it in this playthrough ill say it for everyone.

Seeing Marie mess up a bunch of times, I heard SungWon's Lee voice say "I did all that hard work and sacrifice for nothing." The Let's Play is so funny
I’ve watched so many playthroughs of this and have NEVER seen clementine knock on the window and talk to Alvin! It’s too bad that scene is usually missed, I like how it shows Alvin’s kindness and explains his mindset more

Same! I've played this a few times and watched multiple playthroughs, and I had no idea you could talk to Alvin there.

Oh good lord I had to look away at that stitches scene. Brutal.
I had a bad experience with stitches when I was about 4 years old.😅Bonked my forehead on the fireplace, pretending to be a ghost and had to get stitches. I don't recall the experience (I think I was still going in and out of childhood amnesia during that age), but I do recall that getting them removed felt incredibly painful. Next time I got stitches, it was on my finger, and they were removed while I was asleep. Honestly, that's the way to do it. Although, something like superglue, pine resin, butterfly bandages, or pine sap is preferable to stitches if possible.
This was genuinely so gruesome for me when I did it; the whole time I was playing it I was just thinking “oh my gosh this is gonna be AWFUL for Marie”
Huh, I'm not sure if I've ever seen someone try and get Alvin to help. But it really isn't all that obvious that one should go around the back of the house. Knowing what would come after the stitches, I was hoping Marie would drink the juice first, haha. Good job so far!
I think my favorite thing about watching people play twd is seeing all the little bits i missed! Watching Marie play is delightful and makes my long week better

I remember ppl really hating Sarah when this game came out but since she’s neurodivergent-coded I’ve always been super uncomfortable with that. It’s so nice to see Marie try to like her right away. Her vibe is so different from the dudes I used to watch play this game when it came out and it’s why I love watching her play it.

Isn't everyone neurodivergent? I mean people have different personalities, cognitive styles, fears, aversions, and biases, including attentional biases. And different relative "intensity" of needs. And different things outside people's comfort zone.
I get what your saying but the way she acts in this game is more like a sheltered, insufferable imbacile than somebody with "on the spectrum"
If they wanted to portray surviving the apocalypse with a child "on the spectrum" or someone that suffers with panic attacks and/or cripling anxiety then they needed to make a bit more of an effort.
Sarah's dad wouldn't just keep a condition like that to himself, he is written as over-protective to a fault not a moron.
@@xproflipscarab The game does cause her to seem overly eager when it comes to friends yet not as interoceptive as is appropriate and not reading social contexts or picking up on emotional cues or the emotional climate,. At least in the beginning. And not regulating her emotions or appropriately coping. Sheltered too, though...Well, in a zombie post apocalypse setting anyway.

the ongoing Wonka bit is even funnier to me considering imo the movie actually wound up being a fun time (that also cleaned up at the box office)

She should have used soap rather than peroxide. It's better for wound healing. A post apocalypse is no excuse. Speaking of which, the characters in this game really ought to be eating healthier. They've eaten non organic food.

Okay, the highlight for this set are the little 'UNTIL NEXT TIME' word salad filler. That was incredible and I look forward to the next few.

Ack, this is so scary & stressful! I totes agree with Marie's reactions. 😭 I think I would've tried to save the other option at the end.

I had to catch up to today so instead of yesterday's video, I'll say it here instead. I've never played this (and looked through the comments of the last video to see if anyone mentioned it)... but what happened to Christa and Omid's child? I was surprised Marie didn't immediately latch onto it, like I did, but then again... Omid.
Writing wise I hope it doesn't expressly get mentioned, just one of those in passing talks between Clem and Christa (because she's bound to show up again somehow) like, "Clem I could barely take care of us two, you know a third was never an option." It fits too well with this immediate knife-twisting situation.
