2:34 I know exactly what you mean when you say you don't like mango because it tastes funky. I think mango flavored products (as well as anything containing mango juice) have this weirdly pungent flavor like the mango was just starting to rot before they shoved the flavor into a candy/juice so it wouldn't go to waste. Whenever they don't taste like that, they have a sour, unripe taste instead. Fresh, ripe mangoes are definitely the way to go since you can judge the peak ripeness for yourself and eat them before they get all funky and gross.
I generally agree with this, but I make a niche exception for mango lip balm. I wanted peach lip balm, but it tasted weirdly chemical, but mango lip balm actually tastes like peach. Maybe it's just the actual producers, who knows.
i have a family member absolutely convinced that all mango anything always tastes like cat pee??? i’ve never understood bc i really like mango but i think about that every time i eat one

hi-chews are one of those things that I feel like I really love, but whenever I get them I'm like "eh these aren't as good as I remember" and then I don't have them again until I convince myself that I actually loved them

for hi-chew they are like fruit to an extent. flavor always the same but you can check "ripeness" on the shelf to find those soft perfect ones. just gotta be creepy and feel them all

I was one of those that was a fan of Hi-Chews when the only places I could ever find them was Asian Markets. Now they are sold everywhere. Glad to see they became a successful candy in the States.
Hi-Chew! I love those candies, personally I like the banana flavour because I love banana desserts. But some of those sound interesting.
