Here's my version of the giant hit by Toto from their 1982 album "Toto IV". It was written by David Paich and Jeff Porcaro.

It does, a bit. It wonders if the audio recognition algorithm is loose enough to encompass this version as similar enough to the original to be striked. It has to be a bit loose, anyway, because every video comes with different bitrates, renders, and audio superpositions.

That's just obvious, Juan. The discussion is rather about the algorithm that answers if something is or not a copy of something else, because the recognition/comparison is not done by some Google employee's ear.

Dude what the hell are you thinking? There is no comparison to Toto and singing Africa and Bobby Kimball's voice that makes this tune so great..It's a good cover but that's it a cover.

This is brilliant. You've put a lot of work to do this. How do you master vocal tracks so they get this depth? I always struggle with this myself, when I record vocals I lay some delay on the track, but it tends to sound robotic.
Thank you! I recorded double vocal tracks for this one, meaning I sang each track two times on top of each other which gives an effect similar to the chorus effect. The "depth" also depends on what kind of microphone you're using, what kind of voice you have and what kind of EQ/compression you use. :)
You did this with many of the harmony voices as well, didn't you? Natural chorus sounds way better than digital. Well done.

I have to say this. I love Africa By ToTo, even though they did write the song, and I sure that they would agree that Impersanation is flattering, I would hope that they are not TOO green after seeing this. THIS BY FAR THE BEST MOST AMAZING RECORDING IF THE OLD TIME FAVE. Good sir, you BUY FAR do it better than they did when they wrote it. ( Standing Ovasion), of how ever the hell you spell it. Not just well done, but you have effectively made the song, now, in it entirity, PERFEECT!. I dont think even ToTo themselves would have say the same about any song they have ever wrote.
