Really like your method of building the drill holding rack out of wood strips rather than using 2"-3" pvc pipe. I will build a drill rack like that in the future.

This will be my first cabinet build. Of course I will be modifying the plans slightly for the space on my wall. My plan is to use 2 recessed French cleats anchored into 4 studs.
You did a great job with the plans. And I love how you included the diagrams at the end showing about how the cuts would line up with the sheets of plywood so that I can plan my cuts efficiently.
You gave the length of the screws. But, being my first build, Do you use #8 screws on the cabinet? And what screw should I use for the French cleats into the studs?
Just got mine finished up messed up some of my ply so I had to add an extra trip into the plan but all in all very simple build and now my wife can stop telling me to find a place for my shit 😂 Awesome video man.

Only concern I can really see is the false wall encasing the surge protector/power strip used to power the battery chargers. If there is ever an issue or emergency, that could be problematic. Personally, I would use a hinge on one side and just sandwich the other to keep it looking nice, but would give access to that power source is needed. Otherwise, beautiful and simple build. I'd like to incorporate this into my own work area. Great job.

I love the build, but is it a good idea to conceal the wires from the chargers that much? They draw very little current, even with a battery in place, but it still seems like a mildly risky mixture of heat and wood. That said I will be building something very similar for my shop soon.

Awesome cabinet sir! How deep did you make it? Looks like the same depth as your cabinets. I caught your video just in time for my cabinet build and have been tossing around optimal cabinet/bench top depth, but just can't seem to decide on depth for the two.
Yep same depth as the other cabinets (minus the face frame)

Were the Tapcon screws used in hollow block? Or are the block filled with concrete?
Hollow block however solid mortar as well as solid ribs between the hollow spaces

This is a cool shelf. Maybe one day I'll have $10,000+ in fancy tools in my shop too. 🤞 Great video.
It doesn't happen overnight. If you buy $2000 of tools a year, that's only 5 years, which will go by in a blink of an eye :)
You could always get yourself a UA-cam channel and start creating content! Before you know it you'll be collecting tools from sponsors and building a beautiful collection of tools for yourself. You could also be opt to become an Amazon reviewer and collect some of those Chinese branded tools. If you create a video making a charging station such as this using lower end tools and very few fancy schmancy type tools, and i your video is much slower with not such high expectations from your viewers, I think I might also try to build a great charging station with you!
I love this build, it's gorgeous, I may even be drooling a little 😝 but this is so out of my league. I'll never have the tools used in making this video, nor would I want to. I couldn't justify owning them. However I do have many drills and other battery powered tools that I would like to organize. I guess I'll look for a more beginner friendly build, or perhaps head on over to Amazon to purchase my very own charging station to get better organized. First I'll look for an affiliate link.
I really did enjoy this video, but something like this is just out of my reach, unless of course I buy it instead!

It's pre-finished plywood. I doubt Menards would carry it.
