I give you credit I couldn't look at that guy with a straight face. Of course i can diagnose my vehicles problems from Google we all know the oracle is smarter than mortal men. Should charge the guy triple the rate and walk away.
As a mechanic I have to say its annoying when customers think they know the issue, I see a lot of people googling things like "car ticks when starting" and they bring me a starter and tow the car in when it's just a charging system issue and 90% of them are batteries.
What up brodie .... Im just a beater mechanic when my personal pos breaks.... 00-06 Tahoe/suburban is my POS but i love her.... I got p0420 abd p0300... Pretty sure the cat is clogged but it might also need plugs and wires. It has a misfire at high RPM. Unless the cat is causing it. I don't know. I also have to do CV axle and wheel bearing those don't scare me but diagnosing this miss and 420 code is not my most popular... Is possible the ground is bad... It's connected. It's just really green.... Or the ground in the wire that goes from the harness to the coils. I heard those go bad also on LS... I got plug and wires it has 212 so probably does neex them. But then again rhey are AC Delco
Hey Matt. Quick question. I have a 2007 dodge nitro. And when I start it up and immediately turn the defrosters on it almost wants to stall. Any idea what it could causing it to want to stall?

Yeah that purge valve is always going bad. I replaced mine because it was a 5 minute job and a cheap part but I still had the evap code so I have to replace the vent valve and see if that fixes it
I mean... doesnt it get to you that guys try and self diagnose? Like not on a personal level but like i end up feeling bad on the client that they got the wrong part and you have to end up diagnosing and sourcing the part anyway...

In a lot of vehicles functional tests on your scan tool, you can activate the purge solenoid and see if you got vacuum that way.

Oil pressure switch is probably leaking and oil has traveled up the wire inside of it

An evap code is probably one of the least worrying codes you can have
