- A beautifully restored cabin available to stay in for free on a first-come, first-served basis! This cabin is lovingly maintained by a group of volunteers who ask that the location not be shared on social media...which is probably why it's such great condition!
great video! More that I see, and listen to her the more I'm impressed with her. She has some great and eductional videos. Love her. She has wonderful communication skills.
The spirit of beauty, casting it's reflection, causing wonder, seen in your face as it becomes you.
Thank you WH,,,,I like you can sit on the swing and find Joy,,,You are good with yourself and that is a prize.Hugs!
Sarah, I have every intention of visiting these places you so graciously document for us. You make them look soooo amazing, thank you. But until I get my camper in shape enough to visit, it will have to be vicariously through you. Thanks again!
No problem!!
Beautiful spot he picked to settle. Its nice that they know the man who built the place.
Im glad most people think there is nothing between L.A. and L.V. More for us :)
+davidsquall351 yep!! More for us :-D
Beautiful views from that swing....
I love the desert. Its very beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. I use to go a lot out in Mojave to the outskirts of California City to do exploring and stuff. And you right anyone that doesnt like the desert doesnt know what they are talking about as it is great !
I caught the "sundowner" reference. Great spot. That outhouse roof needs work or the bum wad will get wet...if it rains! There must be a water source there for the greenery. No earrings? woo Hoo.
There is beauty in the desert , thanks for the very cool video !
subbed. I was able to find this place and some of the other places you have visited. Not easy.. Cant wait to visit some of these!
Hi , been watching your channel for about 6 months so this one goes back a ways .Great to see .I'VE DONE A FEW F BOMS MY SELF . Well more than a few. I was surprised to hear it ... now I know what I sound like.😶 I Love WH !!! Amazing Frickin Place 👍😉🤩🦋
God, this place is absolutely so beautiful. Desert cabins and the desert, and it's PLANTS AND AGH! It's so beautiful!
makes you want to cry being alone and rejoice in the fragile beauty of it all...agape
Although most people would think staying there is "roughing it" , it is only one step down from my apartment which has a beautiful view of a major intersection in the city.! LOL
That cabin is gorgeous! I hope it will still be there when I get enough money and start travelling.
I have been to that cabin.
Very glad someone is maintaining it.
It is truly a treasure.
Good video.. keep traveling.
6:47 i thought you were going to say it's time to get naked and take your shirt of and enjoy the sun down lol, great video. I will do research on this secret cabin so I can visit as well.
I'm so impressed with the community's apparent lack of any major vandalism and theft. I'm from Baltimore...that place would be up on blocks in five seconds. People are just better out there, I believe.
+Paul Brosco it's in a very remote locarion....trust me, if it was in downtown Vegas it would be destroyed
go ahead and squash my newly positive outlook on humanity...jk. Bmore is a giant pit of despair. My gf is a trauma nurse in the city...tonight she received seven new "gun shot" patients...they're just the ones accounted for, of course. Yay!
just found this channel, subscribed!🙃
Do you have any idea, how adorable you are? Lol, Sorry, I just love your channel. I travel the West and love exploring abandoned towns. Especially old Gold mining towns in Nevada and California. You "Rock" . Please never stop. You are the Shit!!
Thank you!!
not even trying is right, the beauty of the Mohave is awesome.
+Brrr Cold YES!
+Brrr Cold In CA it is spelled Mojave in AZ east of the river is Mohave. FYI
Brrr Cold yep. been there 2 times. fell in love with the place. the desoltion amd solitude was badly needed.
Very pretty scenery in the desert with nice cabin thanks for sharing
Anyone else catch the "Evil Dead" reference? ... Finding a Necronomicon (book of the dead) in an old abandoned cabin. That's hilarious. ;-)
Brant Headley - That was cool but I also enjoyed the reference to "Aristotle and shit". Can't wait to settle down with my flashlight to some Nicomachean Ethics and shit.
Aristotle, Necronomicon.......potato, potahto
Omg I totally catches thought the same before even reading your comment
The dead who once lived life in the desert and bore their suffering with patience, but the "clock of life" [depending on how tight the spring was wound] stopped, for it is wound but once, and no one has the power to tell, just when the hands will stop at a late or early hour, and their spirit took its flight from the old abandoned desert cabin but you can be assured that it will return some night when there are only whispering sounds in a starlight night at the midnight hour, sharp!
Brant Headley Ya , haha, I caught it, Necromonger stuff! what are the odds, that, that is the first book she pulled off the shelf. (wonder if she knows what "Necromonger means"
What a lush spot for a little cabin. Thanks for the tour.
It's a great spot!
For some years now I have believed that more people (all people?) should spend some time 'out and alone' in settings like this or similar like this. Just imagine how different we would perceive our lives and the world. Would we still be bent on ruining the planet? I doubt it.
AGREED!
Wonder Hussy would you marry me? just kidding your awesome
I enjoyed the video wow cool cabin. looks like it does not have electricity or not sure of it does. if not maybe one day someone will add it. I love the Desert and love to Explore.😉
Beautiful location, thanks for sharing.
A great way to show respect for the vetern
o!!!wow that truly is awesome and breath taking.Thank U so very much for your freaking awesomeness and cool adventures.I luv your blogs and double luv your pics and vids.stay safe rok on girl.
it always start off with the ooh....and awww.......then comes the screaming and running
Great fun videos Wonder, thanks. I use to explore a lot in Mojave about 30 to 45 mins from California city. Found some old gold mines out there very fun. Make some more vids cant wait to see them !
I was there last week. It's incredible now. A beautiful bunk bed was set up. That being said - unfortunately, some people decided to use the place as target practice. I don't understand why target practice is a good idea on the cabin and surrounding structures. A Veteran built this cabin and now volunteers upkeep it.
Thank you for doing. this video Wonder Hussy. 👣
Roughly a 10min down hill hike from the Riley's are more cabins. I volunteered there fixing up windows and schlepping. It's beautiful there. I was also blessed to see the other locations around Mojave that are being renovated. Most are old mining camps. It's great!
awesome!!!
Thank you for volunteering in the restoration.
Aw you lucky duck WonderHussy! The sunset and the atmosphere it made when you were showing us the swing was just diviiiiine ♡♡♡
Thats awesome. It would have the most amazing history there. what a blast.
I'm pretty sure this must've been the cabin they were telling me about in the visitor center… so cool to actually see it because I couldn't get to it when I was there. I did however get directed to a nice secret car camping spot and oh my god… it was a night to remember! I literally teared up when I had to turn the key and head back to Vegas. I did. not. want. to. leave. I'm sure you understand the feeling. :) Great vid!
Thanks! Yeah, it's crazy beautiful out there...I need to go back!
Thank You for your AWESOME Vids. I really enjoy them & you. Your such an angelic lady with a be-Uti- ful spirit. Blessings & all my best to you, stay safe out there.
+w0tod thank you!
Awesome concept !
very cool wish I was there that's awsome
A bunch of Cliff Notes on the bookcase! LOL!
Hi WH! I mentioned this cabin (well, location) in my manuscript. I suppose I should remove the mention, as I don't want people going there to trash the place.
Very Cool! I didn't know places like that existed!
Thank your for not using the word "awesome" in your narration. You go girl.
Now why didn't I end up with a nice-looking adventurous gal like you? That place looks interesting..well done, great video Wonder Hussy
+ΛΛRONMNSKY glad you enjoyed!
do the mice run free with the new occupants each night?
Cool place! There's a couple of secret hideaways like that near Pioche & Ely that I've stayed at myself. It's amazing what secrets the desert holds.
+Sheree Shelton I need to explore the Pioche area!!
Of course, Adrenaline Jackie in the back ground picking up trash.
Nice Video! Stay Safe
Agreed. Beauty is in the desert if you look for it.
Way too cool! Thanks
+john bouley glad you are enjoying
_"...as well as, you know, tons of other Aristotle and sh*t."_
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Cool cabin
awesome! :-)
That's a beautiful spot, what a great view. Riley's Grave is about two miles from the cabin.
+Dan DeVoto I've been to it and paid my respects☺
Did you visit the other cabins/shacks/trailer very close this one?
very nice
Very nice wish I knew where this was would take my husband and daughter for a day or two
you are so cool thank you
you really love it out there, don't you?
You would be a good guide for weekend Mohave trips.
You're quite the little explorer, very cool. I lived in Vegas for 4 years and Reno for 4. I was in the Air Force while living in Vegas and went to Area 51 twice. Although the stark terrain of NV isn't my favorite, I'll have to admit it does have some cool places to explore, however if I was doing so as an attractive girl alone as you appear to be, I'd be packing, if you know what I mean.
Have fun, stay safe.
The only thing I pack is my judgment and my common sense....that will get you out of more jams than any gun!
It only takes that one time when you don't have one, and then you're taking the long dirt nap. I respect your opinion, but totally disagree.
William Hollister scorpions scare the death out of me. i conceal a ar15 for those specific.
How do you "conceal" an AR15?
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
How did you come across this cabin?
We enjoy doing a lot of the same things you do in these secret locations. How can we enjoy these things as you if we can not be pointed in a direction?
wayne ybarra - If you can't figure out where it's at from all of the clues in both the video and the comments, then you'll never find it.
I stayed in the one about 1/2 mile down the road. i was in that same
cabin you are in a few years ago in it was infested with mice and
droppings were everywhere. Thank you for not posting the location and
thanks to all the volunteers who made this possible.
Of course! the cabin was very clean when I stayed there...no mice. As long as ppl clean up their food crumbs it should stay that way!
Wonder lady, when you get a chance, visit Travertine hot springs near Bridgeport Ca. It is way kool.
+Brrr Cold I've been there!! I love it!!!!!
Probably a beer pong table.
“Tons of other Aristotle and shit.” America.
This is some strange Fallout New Vegas gameplay.
BLM land, you don't own the land you rent it, obviously it's open to people if there are rules put up for desert travelers. That guy was a Debbie Downer! Love all your videos, you make me happy!
Cannot reveal the location?
So it is a stumble across lodge ?
+Dawie Van Emmenes yeah pretty much, they are quite adamant that no-one release the information online
i came here because i miss Fallout: New Vegas so much (Fallout 4 was an utter joke), and this is exactly like discovering a location in the game. just needs a unique variant of a gun and wed be set.
Aristotle and shit?.....😂🤘
41 seconds in and the name of the place is on the sign.
👍
Can i go with you some time?
Interesting title : Aristotle and $#!+
Watch out for deathclaws! And cazadores, (only fallout fans will get this)
veteran. Sorry kids just jumped on me
Sorry bad lighting. Anyone to talk to besides you?
I enjoyed the shaving one but not the foul language.
When you and I get married we should have our honeymoon here.
+Bobby Harper but I'm not the marrying kind!
+Wonder Hussy Yeah, something always goes wrong with my marriage plans.
+Bobby Harper D'oh :-/
Dont talk to my future wife that way.
im illustrating the typology based on the vids footage. ill find it !
Still looking ??
ill be replacing that necronomicon with a bible when i find it.
IT LOOKS NICE BUT YOU HAVE A FOWL MOUTH.
That is called Riley's Camp; been there many times. There is a really cool campsite at the end of the road. Did you see his grave right along the trail? Oh you probably came from a different direction. I usually travel the 2 Segment of the East Mojave Heritage Trail; the guide books that The Friends of the Mojave put out 20+ years ago. I might be going on Labor Day weekend.
+Jerry Hutchins Yeah, I just didn't want to say the name online because they seem really protective of its privacy.....but I loved it!! I did see the amazing campsite up the road, plus all the other cabins and junk in the area. And we stopped to pay our respects at the cemetery, as well :-)
Jerry Hutchins thanks I looked up rileys camp and found the directions
soon as my Rv is fixed I am leaving to the desert I hate the city
wowser, i was thinking you would break out the magical herb for that sunset sarah jane
4G....really? Cool..
would you,.... could you.........................be my neighbor?
the book of the dead
Looks like a cabin Charlie Manson and his family could have inhabited at one time. ;-)
+Bill Green totally!
I wish this person would practice the same "location non-disclosure" ethic on her hot spring videos because once a location of a "secret" place is known and shown on social media, the solitude gone forever. I work in a large wilderness park and have seen this happen time and time again... One day a secluded beautiful location, next week trash and graffiti...
I am torn on this issue. On one hand, I agree with you and of course I'd like to keep the locations (which I myself find online/ on social media) to myself.......but then I remember how I MYSELF found these locations online...and WITHOUT FAIL, I have ended up picking up trash there and leaving them better than I'd found them. All of which makes me think that WHOMEVER has already been using these "secret" locations is doing a piss-poor job, and some of us newbies are actually coming in and IMPROVING things. So....who's to say that the people who come to these places via my videos won't be BETTER stewards of the land than the people already going there?
I don't mean to be contentious....this is a serious issue I've been pondering!
Wonder Hussy yep.... id clean too. never explored. but love the solitude.
Why not instead wish for people to take care of things...?
FUCKING WINEO!
😁
Even if you did post the actual location I definitely wouldn't go there. First thing I thought of is the Charles Manson family or a secret cult that performs blood rituals. Anyways awesome channel. Love the interesting places you go to.
Sassy....
She looks like a tweaker! LOL 😂
Nice video. You seem to be a beautiful & lovely person. I'm sorry I can't stay or subscribe to someone who refers to herself as a "hussy". Sending good vibes, love & light. Wishing you the best. 🤗
Thanks and best of luck to you!
ok... time to hunt the cabin down guys! gps gmaps sattelite! lets do it!
Lie,aintit....
