Just a small detail, but those are actually COLD shoes on the cage. Hot shoes have electronics in them to communicate with the camera (the mount on top of an SLR camera to fire the flash when you take a photo etc). Just having the slot to mount accessories is a cold shoe.
Also that shotgun mic seems dangerously close to being in the field of view, especially if you put a dead cat on it. Had any issues there?

More daunted than ever. I bought this because I thought it was more advanced than the 7 and others but it seems like there’s “unfortunately “ all of these things it can’t do and all of these things I need to buy in order to make it do basic stuff.

That tri pod is more of a monopod and the hot shoe is a cold shoe on that case.

If you shoot 4K 60fps, and pull the footage into Premier Pro...DOES the footage properties show as 60fps? I use iPhone 11 Pro Max and sometime mine shows 51 fps even thought it WAS set for 4K 60fps 100 mb/sec (FilLmIC extreme). So, does Hero 8 4K 60fps STAY at 60 fps? Thanks!

I would never use an alloy case if you use the GoPro mic. Picks up micro vibrations, specially if you do any motor sports or mountain biking.

OK Question does the sd card effect it getting hot when in use for a about 15 to 20 minutes i am using sandisk ultra plus 256gb A1 v10 and a 16gb A1 U1, do i need to use a different sd card or is it the card?

INSTEAD OF ALL THIS SHIT FROM AMAZON.... And it's names the GoPro shorty or the Rode wireless go.... Please!!! Do me this favour!
