Hi Guys! Pedder bay looks like a great place to make a base from - well located and all the amenities. You guys did some great hikes on this one - some of those looked a bit tricky - especially for the pooch. And being able to see the whales that close - that was really something! You did a great job capturing this - we really want to re-visit the island you and guys have created an excellent blueprint so far - we look forward to more! Hope have super holidays and a great new year - look forward to catching up in the new year.

Welcome. I live in Sooke, and tomorrow morning I head up to my cabin in Ucluelet. Don't feel bad about converting the metric distances. I'm 75, and still can't (won't 😂) do it. Hiking poles are a must on the island.

Did the same tour in September 2024 Eighteen days on Vancouver Island . Did the South Island then Long Beach area and then eastern side up to Campbell River . Stayed at all Provincial Parks for the most part. Many great hikes every where . By the way highway 14 is a challenge. Made my fifth wheel trailer “ dance” from China Beach campsite to Port Renfrew . Went over the hill to Gordon Bay provincial park on Lake Cowichan . Road was great from Port Renfrew to Gordon Bay. Slow but all paved . Great drive .

Do you think because your in such good shape that you guys look younger or is it because you act youthful or both? As you’ve probably heard us say, it’s our hope to encourage and inspire others to get active and find their new adventure. We love hearing we are doing just that for you. We do hit the gym 3x a week when we’re home and on the road we hike and bike with an occasional campsite workout.
