Wanted to say thank you! Your video, especially the throttle linkage info was very helpful. FYI - the throttle spring can be a real pain as you noted. I took the spring and compressed it on my bench and used two bread ties to hold it compressed. Then I slid it over the throttle cable and installing the cable into the needle valve was a snap. After the cable was attached to the needle valve I just cut off the ties with a sniper. Presto. Thanks again!
I purchased the same kit that you did based on your suggestion. However I couldn't tell the direction that the new fuel filter needs to be in. I could not see any directional lines on the new fuel filter. What symptoms would I have if the fuel filter was put in backwards?
Question: if you use the new air filter, since it doesn't have a hole for the breather tube to connect would that be bad in a way where the atv wouldn't run or so?
At the time no I wasn't. I would usually just put in enough gas so when we were done using it there wouldn't be much if any left in there. My problem was moisture got in.
@@killrspeed00 I just changed the carburetor now it starts but when he gets on and throttles it start 2 drive off then cuts off before carburetor change the last one was dirty from old gass so I drained it and followed steps in ya vid now it does what I Explained my cousin sed its the battery... I think its could be the idle or the gas may be need to change again do to last dirty gas probably Still rust n dirty gas still flowing
Yes it could definitely be that. The same thing happend to me on the Coleman. Have him try to drive it with the choke on and see if there is a difference vs choke off.
Yes I have seen where that happens and the idle screw won't help enough. In that case they ended up running it half on choke and it seemed to run fine. Yours kinda seems like it's getting too much gas which then it's something wrong in the carb itself. I've seen brand new ones not work right.

Pretty cool video but I have a question why would you put a smaller diameter carburetor on your motor in the video it looks clearly your stock carburetor looks bigger in diameter than the newer one I was just curious if there is some kind of something behind it thanks
Did the replacement carb cure your issues permanently? We bought one of these ATV's for my grandson last year and the carb has been a source of constant frustration...sometimes it will suddently die while riding and if I bounce the front end up and down really hard a few times, it fires right up. Other times, he will be riding and it will be pouring gas from the hose coming off the carb.
This video is great. You allowed me to change the carb! However, i have a problem. It now starts and hits wide open throttle and runs full RPM - no idle adjustments seem to stop this. Any suggestions? Help! Merry Christmas Note that i did use the OEM/existing needle and spring and not what came in the kit (an earlier poster said this may be a bad idea).
Happy to see sum1 make a video on the exact bike my son has..im having a problem with it revving high & taking off soon as it starts. It have a new carb on it. It was running fine..next thing it started dying on throttle..messed with the fuel mixture screw & now its doing the revving high crap..i turned the mixture screw in & nothing turn out & nothing..throttle seems to be fine also..its not caught or ran funny. Idk whats going on lol...got any idea??
Thanks..it was all gummed up..not sure why but i guess the guy i had work on it put fuel booster in it..gummed everything up.i cleaned it all out even the tank. Now ill be puting it back together tomorrow & see what happens...keep you posted...thanks again
Hey this video is awesome!! I replaced the carburetor that was leaking with a new one and now no leaks!! It is idles great in neutral but it will not idle in drive for more than a minute. Tbh this has been a constant issue do you have any suggestions on why this might be happening?
I have a coolster and it wouldn’t start yesterday...there is on fuel line tube that isn’t connected and I can’t figure out where it goes. The tubing going into the carburetor is fine. This is another tube leading away from the carburetor and has the metal coil around the hose. It’s totally disconnected and leads toward the bottom of the atv. I see no where for it to go! Any help?
hey i didnt see you put any kind of gasket underneath the carburator do a gasket go underneath it or not just asking i have a 110cc atv for my son and i order one for hi atv but i fogot to order a gasket please let me no if i need one or not

Hey if your starter is bad take it off tap it with a mallet a couple times turn the gear a little then hook it up touch the connections to a battery that's not hooked up to anything else to test it the gear is turning to spin flywheel of engine
Got mine running good now thanks. I’m just wondering it seems like it’s going really slow but the rpms go really high, do you think there is a problem with the transmission?
In case anyone thinks they wanna replace the carb and not replace the needle jet etc it’s not a good idea to use the stock needle jet & spring assembly “aka the thing you screw out of the top” 😂 there’s notches for adjustments on the aftermarket needle jet to aid in helping you lean out the carb or richen it up that are simply not present on the janky factory setup

Depending on the filter it won't get proper fuel. Usually the cheap ones work both ways. Usually the top of the fuel filter is the inlet.

Did you use stabil fluid for your gas so it doesn’t clog your carburetor.
At the time no I wasn't. I would usually just put in enough gas so when we were done using it there wouldn't be much if any left in there. My problem was moisture got in.
My sons 110 starts but as soon as u throttle to ride off it goes off ...can u help please
Sounds like a carburetor issue. Could be the idle screw, a bad carburetor or even bad gas or dirty gas. Do you mess with the choke at all?

There is no overflow in the tank. Have you tried adjusting the adjustment screw? Did you pit the needle back in straight and not spun a little?

The inner diameter of the carburetor is the same size even though the whole thing looks smaller.

Why are the manifold bolts on my vitacci 125cc. 8 mm.
They could of change what size they use over time.

I would say so. The only difference should be the bolt head and not the length or thickness of it. Of course I can't be 100% certain though.

Check to see if the throttle cable is maybe to tight or something is messed up in the carb.

Mine won’t start after putting on new carb
you can use a small zip tie to compress the spring and hold it till the throttle cable can be reattached, then just cut the tie and remove it

Besides the throttle screw you have 3 ways.
1. Bigger carburetor
2. Better exhaust
3. Change the sprocket size

The bottom hose with the spring on it is that supposed and supposed to connect to anything
