So after watching your video and several other people's, I'm finally starting to understand why everybody's soap looks funny to me. You all do the funky top as an artsy fartsy, almost trademarking deal. 😂 Found the video very informative thank you
Thank you! I love short videos and you added all of the information that I was looking for. Nobody else says anything about the temps of the oils or the lye! I have made cold process soap but now have an order for soap that is needed in a month, so cold process wasn't an option...and I didn't want to use melt and pour due to packaging.
Hi, thanks for your video, this process looks super easy and fun. I’ve only made CP so far. Just a question about the lye, do you have to wait until it’s cooled to add to the oils, then it’s heated in crockpot or can you mix it when hot? Thanks xx
Can I substitute the water for coconut milk? I love this recipe, I’ve used it a few times already but I’m curious if I can use other milks with it as well.
I was wondering also 😊. Another question is everything is in oz’s except the salt that’s in g’s is this just a misprint? I’m loving your simplified process and plan to try hot process this week I’ve only done cold process for years but this looks so simple and pretty ❤
What if I wanted to use fresh herbs and extract them by boiling the herbs my self instead of essential oil? How much water much water can I put into this recipe?
That was a mistake! Thank you for catching it, I fixed it. I eyeballed a little over a tablespoon of clay and did 35 grams lemongrass essential oil I believe
Hello. I am having real trouble with my hot process. I am not sure if I let it overheat or using wrong pot but I seem to get the same result every time I try. Basically I mix it to trace then start heating to about 95 degrees C. It goes well to a certain point but then it turns into grainy substance and liquid - Soap separates. No further cooking rectify the situation. I ruined 3 big batches, changed recipes but nothing seem to help. I have 2 questions - How to fix it and is there anything that can be done with ruined batch. Shame to waste …
@@lifedaftie7026I am probably not the person you were looking for but I only do hot process, hope I can help, all my hot processes separate, you can bring it back together with your stick mixer and or an ordinary mixer, sometimes it gets too thick for the stick mixer...just be mindfull that your batter will probably "volcano " after doing this ( I rather the term champagne bubbles) that's a good thing, means it's done...😊
It has a 5% superfat and hot process actually doesn’t need the same cure time as cold process, a bar does harden more and more with age but it’s not going through ph changes like cold process

With hot process soap making you don’t need to wait for it to cool as everything will be getting heated anyway:)

Water will be fine!

Can you use sea salt in hot process bars???
Do u use the clay to color the soap instead of colerent
How long does it take for hot process to soap to cure?
What if I wanted to use fresh herbs and extract them by boiling the herbs my self instead of essential oil? How much water much water can I put into this recipe?
If you’re going to do that, I would recommend infusing herbs into oils instead
Hi, you say no salt in this soap but the recipe lists salt? Also, how much of the clay and essential oil do we need to add? Thanks so much x

HP soap needs same amount of cure time as CP. what SF did you use for this recipe?

Hot process soap & melt&pour are same
No they aren't
Melt and pour is literally melting a soap base and pouring it. Hot process is actually creating the soap base from scratch. 😂
