My mom's hobby is making her own soap. Any suggestions on items I could get her to help improve her product?

If I want to add coconut oil and castor oil to this recipe, do I take the 35 oz of tallow and reduce it by the number of oz of coconut and castor oil I want to add? i.e. 20 oz tallow 10 oz coconut oil 5 oz castor oil?

what kind of lye do u use? 98% pure? or like what does 1.45% ww mean?

I believe in karma and therefore believe that just because you share your recipes, it doesn't mean you will stop selling your soaps. If anything, I think your sales will increase, because a lot of consumers prefer supporting honest, hard working, kind people 😊😊 and what you are doing is IMO very kind, so thank you ❤

My mom knows how to make soap but hasn't had time in like 10 years. I think homemade soap is a great gift and I think it's great you want to teach people how to do things rather than just telling people to go buy. Yes I'm sure lessons cost money but I would spend money on a skill I'll have for probably the rest of my life.

Just because someone knows how to make something doesn't mean they will never buy that thing again. I know how to make bread but still buy most of it at the store. I think teaching others is awesome (and shows others that you really do make the soaps lol). I doubt you lose a lot of customers due to your teaching (though I guess if enough of them started businesses there could be a problem)

I think its perfectly fine that you do what you especially being a young Mom and doing so well with business and teaching, at the same time, there are a lot of people on YT that give their gift of teaching and recipes for free. Thats not crazy just very much appreciated to those who can't afford the classes and who use these social platforms for the good of humanity ❤

I also live in a little cabin in the woods and love to make soap. Hopefully one day I'll be able to sell my soap like you!! Until then, I love watching all your videos!! ❤️
