Today I went back again to try some more vegan street food food by The Cheffing Don. We spoke a little bit on what Jamaican Ital food is and the similarities to vegan cuisine. Make it known, rastafarians have been creating vegan food way before vegan dining was a popular trend.

It's always a pleasure watching your videos. After Barbican. you were going through Grants Pen Road, then onto Red Hills Road, it seems to me. Is it in that vicinity the "Cheffing Don" restaurant is located? The black rice wow!! I cooked some a few weeks ago and brother, I know the feelings; I'm now hooked. It's very nutritious indeed. Beautiful views all the way through. Looking forward to see the Blue Mountain trip/view so much to see what the features are like currently, having been there over three decades ago! Ital is Vital ♥ I agree there are not that many vegan restaurants in Jamaica, however, one can surely get natural freshly squeezed juice all around. And there are fruit/veggie vendors everywhere so it is very easy to sustain yourself. The symbol you were talking about is the *Ankh* which is from ancient Egypt, one of the hieroglyphics which symbolizes the many aspects of life, including physical life, eternal life, immortality, death, and reincarnation. 12:54 That's so sweet you want us to live forever! 😂 I enjoyed the vlog and I appreciate what you share! ltal seems to mean different things to different people. The interpretation that I fully accept came from a Rasta Man on the beach in Mobay. He said, "Don't judge a man who eats Ital when he eats a piece of fish or a piece of chicken, judge him by how he lives his life." That man and that message has stuck in my head from that day to this.
