      The ones that I get from Chinese Takeaways never have any meat on them. Usually just those long curved bones with a thin layer of over fryed skin, gristle and cartilage on them.

    I used to work in a Chinese takeaway, Mrs Lee the owner had a big deep fryer just for cooking ribs and aromatic duck. The old oil would be used for making her curry paste as it had lots of flavour in it. Her curry sauce was legendary, I’ve never seen a pan as big as the one she made her curry paste in.

      Go print on demand (POD) through somewhere like Lulu.com it won't cost you a penny. All you need to do is upload a Word document or PDF and they'll convert it into a book. When someone orders a book (from a link on your website or UA-cam page) it'll be printed and posted out to them. If you set the price at £15 you'll get around £9 per sale paid monthly via PayPal.@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop

    The wine you were referring to is called “Mei Kuei Lu Chiew” (玫瑰露酒), it’s also known as “Rose Wine.” It is a type of Chinese spirit thats infused with rose petals, which gives it a floral aroma and flavor. Mei Kuei Lu Chiew is often used in Chinese cooking for its unique taste and fragrance, especially in dishes that benefit from a more pronounced flavor. I’ve never tried it but will try to get a bottle and see how it compares to shaoxing.

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop
      @ZiangsFoodWorkshop  3 роки тому +1

      No, the freezing is more likely to make them more tender, especially if the ice crystals form slowly as they puncture the cell structure. No one makes them daily, there isn’t enough time, to do that one small takeaway would need a brigade of 10, clunky afford that when people won’t pay more than £6 for a chow Mein 😂 also there would be no room

    Mei Kuei Lu is very different it has a rose flavour, also a much cleaner taste, because one of the main constituents is rose water..There is a Persian wine you used to get that was similar and much much cheaper but I'm not sure if you can get it..Anyway Mei Kuei Lu is around £23 a bottle which isn't that bad when you think of French cooking and you can end up using a bottle of wine cost x3 as much

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop
      @ZiangsFoodWorkshop  5 років тому +1

      I'm sure mum said the name of the wine lol will look out for the Persian wine though
