I've been using your other video now for a few years and this didn't change. Just some clarification on common questions which is nice. Great as always guys, fair play 🙂
Chilling the rice for a couple of hours or overnight was a game changer for me ✔I’d spent 40 odd yrs using freshly cooked rice and quite often ended up with a sticky gooey mess. Not a problem now though. It’s always these golden nuggets of information that make the difference between GOOD and GREAT ! Love to all 🥰🥰
Honestly, I wasn't even going to watch this one, as I think I've got a few fried rice variations perfected... But still learned stuff from this that I'm eager to try out. Fantastic stuff!
In the old days 60's and 70's we didn't have woks in Aust, we used our frying pans, well my mom did and taught me how to cook fried rice on that and it worked out great. Thanks for many great videos.
I discovered you guys when I was looking for a 'real' old school fried rice recipe and I've been cooking it (and other dishes of yours) this way ever since! Here in Australia our Chinese takeaway places used to be very similar to the UK, but they've changed a lot over the years so I really appreciate learning how to make some of the classic dishes I grew up with from your channel. Thanks muchly!
I cannot fault this video. Lots of good detail. It’s a deep dive on egg fried rice! I did take your advice and get a rice cooker in the end. I have cooked perfect in various other ways but every now and then it goes wrong. Good consistent results from now on hopefully.

OMG! I just followed this video step by step, using "MSG" as directed (purchased from your website) and it's worked perfectly. It's so tasty, I could eat the egg fried rice on it's own. Thank you so much!
I started using your recipe a few years ago now, and at the beginning everything was great. My issue recently is that the rice won't clump at all. It looks ok fresh out the rice cooker, but the next day the rice is so separated and won't come back together even during frying.
