She was sharing a stage with him as a tribute to his music and because the song was very meaningful for her and her husband René. This was the promise she made to him before he died-that “the show would go on, and that he could go in peace.” It’s not a performance to overanalyze or get all huffy about. Just enjoy the duet without comparing who’s better than who. Just take it in and feel their beat, and appreciate their unique strengths. Did you notice the violin solo? It was stupendous! Impeccable indeed!

Да и сравнивать рок-певца и оперную... суперзвезду... Уже одно это как бы рок-певцу в плюс идёт. Насчёт болезни - не знаю, её ему объявили в 1987 году, в этом же году и Барселону они вместе спели.

I loved Celine’s cover and I know that this was uplifting for her after losing Rene and despite her sadness the show did indeed go on. But I would be lying if I said that it’ll ever compare to Freddie as this was recorded when he was gravely ill but still despite knowing his time on earth was likely not long he managed to nail this without missing a beat and gave the song a level of rawness that just cannot be matched. Everytime I hear this song I hear the emotion in his voice but for him and as it says “on with the show.”

А по факту я слышал женщину с грудным, но высоким и чётким пением и мужика, который по именно мощи (громкости), наверно, уступал, но чистота и ясность имхо была на уровне. Да и сравнивать рок-певца и оперную... суперзвезду... Уже одно это как бы рок-певцу в плюс идёт. Насчёт болезни - не знаю, её ему объявили в 1987 году, в этом же году и Барселону они вместе спели.

I loved Celine’s cover and I know that this was uplifting for her after losing Rene and despite her sadness the show did indeed go on. But I would be lying if I said that it’ll ever compare to Freddie as this was recorded when he was gravely ill but still despite knowing his time on earth was likely not long he managed to nail this without missing a beat and gave the song a level of rawness that just cannot be matched. Everytime I hear this song I hear the emotion in his voice but for him and as it says “on with the show.”

И неправда что она только зачитывает текст, она всегда проживает каждую песню которую исполняет, иначе она не умеет, это же Селин Дион! И как гармонично звучат вместе их голоса, им бы на одной сцене петь вобще супер бы было
