We have used the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Once these AC200 units ship, you should just make a pre-made kit with everything included (4 scooter packs, BMS, etc etc) and sell it as an AC200 Doubling Kit.

Seems like the right time you begin your company and hire some interns to do the soldering? I am new to this but the idea of being able to charge a power pack at work and bring it home to then charge the Bluetti is not something to pass up. Are there any comparable products out there similar to what your are proposing, ready for plug and charge? If there isn't, someone else is going to do what you just offered, but soldered and connected. Very informative videos, learning a lot and enjoying your spirit.

One big thing to take into account that should be explained. The Bluetti can charge these Lithium batteries, or the lithium batteries can charge the Bluetti. If you want to do both. Charge the Lithium batteries during the day from your Bluetti (or any other source) then connect the Lithium batteries to the Bluetti at night. This might be annoying to switch cables in the morning and evening every day. Idk if those Lithium batteries have passive charging. If they do, you could have a separate solar system dedicated to chargingyour Lithium batteries, and keep the batteries connected to the Bluetti. Then you wouldn't have to constantly switch cables day and night. Has this been answered yet? Does it have passive charging?

    • @jehugarcia

  • @Robert-cd2ht

Nice try Jehu however the AC200 cannot connect batteries in parallel, you cannot operate the inverter at rated capacity from external booster battery and you cannot charge your external battery through the AC 200 input. Not to mention you loose the capability to use solar charging. As a booster battery though this an awesome solution.

It looks like a great idea but does this actually increase the bluetti's capacity? Or, just gives us the ability to charge the bluetti. Still a good idea but then I could use any battery source as an external charge. I could substitute any input source, be it solar or scooter or deep cycle, etc. Having this option would definetely come handy when camping or power outage.

    hi Jehu
Thank u for the great videos and the great effort u put on this channel, i'm from Jordan /Middle east and i really enjoy watching ur projects.
i have a question about one of ur earlier videos ..about using /or not using bms with lithium batteries.
i was testing a small project (hair trimming machine that use a single 18650 cell) to keep it always on charger ready to use.
the charger im using is a small wall DC charger output 3.60V/0.200AMP .. i left it on charge for two days..
i found that the charger kept on charging and didnt cut the charge at 3.60V !!!! the battery was 4.55V .. thank god i didnt get fire in my office. :)
then i discharged it to 3.7v and its safe now ..
but what do u think ??? is it all cheap chargers keeps putting a small amount of charge that exceeded the out put label on it ??? or the charger i used dosnt function? or i have to keep an eye on charger all the time when im not using bms?? i think this small project i experienced needs anyone to think twice whether to use bms or not and NOT TO TRUST ALL CHARGERS.

Are you really going to full drain and charge your portable pack more than 600-700 times? Let alone 2500-3000? Doubtful. Unless you are using it as a daily offgrid power solution having that long of battery life isn't really necessary because Lifepo4 would have to be fully drained and charged for 10-12 years every day. That is unrealistic for a portable battery pack.

    The video will be helpful.
    DIY and cheap lithium-ion battery
I want to make it like a video, but it's a Chinese product
I can't help but feel bad about quality control.

Jehu, thanks for your info. Heh, Fellas, there are some nice features about the AC200. I have a boat that I'm converting from Golf Cart 6V times 2 wired in series for a 12 volt-244 amp /hr deep cycle....over to about 400 amp/hr LiFePO4 setup. I'm not knocking the AC200. But for what you are buying for the features of different charge ports and AC +DC charging, pass through charging like solar DC to the Bluetti while you are charging up your Mac book and iPhone...folks, I'm sorry, you are getitng ripped off big time. Now if you bought it when it was still crowd funding...the pain is bearable. But now that has shut off and you will be paying way too high of a price for what you are buying. In other words, it is a gimmick for people who have not done due diligence of what is available on the market. Do you realize how small the capacity is of the battery? Something like 30 amp/hr. If you can watch a few video's on how to solder....watch some Will Prowse videos on Lithium batteries, inverters, solar panels, etc etc etc...you will soon understand that this unit is not worth the bucks. Study up on MPPT controllers, batteries, converters.....on and on. There is so much useful information available these days. Another really good guy to follow is Hobotech.
But if you like getting ripped off and too lazy or stupid to understand basic wiring ....enjoy....guys like JehuGarcia are great because he is basically telling you , in his own way, that this AC200 is so underpowered that you need to buy a lot of extra 18650 Lithiums to bring the AC200 up to a common level. If you knew how easy it is to wire up all these charge ports you would understand why I say the AC200 is a gimmick for lazy arse people who have very little knowledge of what they are buying.

Jehu - I picked up some of your non-populated PCB's and I was wondering if there is a possibility of swapping these out for the pre-populated ones you offer now. They are still in the box from shipping. Not sure of the best email to get you for business, so I figured this could get the conversation started.

It's not that you have to build a battery I mean you can buy batteries for the bluetti 200 they will come with batteries or you can add batteries to it after you got the unit I think I need to take up the four batteries each battery has like 3 KW so you don't have to build a battery that people don't know how to build batteries you just buy them from Bluetti for a 200 but I think you have the blue Eddie 200b you need the other blue Eddie 200 which is better in every way cuz I think I need one of those two of those and all the batteries I don't even have one of them yet.

I have a feeling Tesla will be moving away from 18650 cells in September.
If that's correct, there could be A LOT of spare 18650 cells coming out of Panasonic Japan!?

    • @ranig2848
      @ranig2848 4 роки тому

Unlikely - they need all the batteries they can and they keep improving 18650 chemistry - they can put same chem in 2170 and 18650. Since they need as many batteries as they can, they have no reason to throw away those production lines - just upgrade them. If they don't use them in cars, they'll use them in PowerWall and MegaPack.

Can the external battery packs be connected so they can also be charged with solar or wall charger along with the AC200? Looks like you have to charge the additional packs separately from the wall only. Please elaborate.
