    Can you please post a close up picture of the BMS wiring set up? For a rookie like me, that was a quick explanation but I feel that is the part I don't understand the most. Thank you very much for doing this. Also yes, I watched your other video about maybe not needing to add an additional BMS at all, but now I don't understand how to parralel the power ports. The life of being a rookie.... Thanks again for creating this video and all your other videos.

      As a newbie , I only got SOME of what you did .... not enough to go buy and build , bcs the camera angles were not clear and the speed-up was useless .
      I think you’re very knowledgeable and talented , but not a good step-by-step teacher for me to learn . Sorry .

    The real cool thing would be if you could just buy the interface without the cells. Just a neat package that you can connect to your own cells with bms . AC-DC charger, MPPT, battery meter build in. Some 12v outlets usb fast charing, easy alternator charging ,optional inverter. Maybe bluetooth and an app to keep track of it all..This would make a lot of VAN/RV self builds much easier and more integrated.

    Couldn't I use the dyi batteries with my Ecoflow Delta 1300 sogen?
    If so, am I correct that I would only need the first cable external section (female/female)?
    And more importantly, then would the dyi box be able to be super charged from my 1300 somehow with 1300 getting recharged via AC? Without 1300 getting recharged at the same time?
    How much do those dyi kits weigh?
    Dimensions?
    Lastly, is there a similar kit with LifePo4 batteries that can function like the B300 and B230 units with the AC300 or AC200 Max?
    I'd love to watch side by side comparisons of the AC300, AC200 Max, Delta Pro, and Inergy newest one.

    it was charging at 440 watts on the ac200. How do you calculate the output wattage formula? I know that w = v * i. But that doesn't seem to add up to output wattage. Trying to calculate if you could make it with a 6p or 8p. It can't be more than 700w on that solar input.

    • @ScoutTactical
      @ScoutTactical 4 роки тому +1

      @@greengooseman I think I answered my own question....so the AC200 has a limit of 12ah which is what limited his charge wattage. It wasn't the battery pack, it was the device limiting it. Thanks for the reply, the info turned on the light bulb for me!

    So excited to try this! Thank you for sharing all the information. Some quick questions...if I attempt to recreate this using the links you provided, do I have to take apart the packs after purchasing, drain, recharge, and individually test all the batteries, then reinstall them the way you have done with some other videos before I do the assembly?
    Also, this might be a dumb question, but I am female and this is the first time I will have ever attempted building anything electrical and am rather limited on tools. I will purchase the soldering iron, but is there anything else maybe not mentioned in the video that might be necessary (like a Kill-a-watt meter, or any other measuring or testing device)?
    One last question, could this be used to charge my Jackery 500? I know it has more watts than the Jackery and I would have to switch out the cable going into the Jackery to an 8mm instead of the XT90/Bluetti cable combo , but does that mean that it could charge it several times?

      @@josephnevin also with XT60 you have to have a male and female connector pairs with Anderson Powerpole they are modular and inter-connectable so when you buy 50 pieces of Anderson Powerpole you end up with 25 pairs even if they are all black. Also the Anderson Powerpole has different colors. XT60 only has one color. With Anderson Powerpole they are modular. You can create your own custom connector with different conductors. XT60 can only support two conductors. Also the Anderson Powerpole can be disassembled, and the connector can be reused by simply removing the internal connector (keeping the plastic housing) soldering a new internal connector to wire and using that housing again.

      You make a good and valid points. I totally agree with your views. In fact, I might consider using Anderson power pole connector instead of xt60 for my build.

    If I arranged these packs in 6P instead of 3P would I need to use heavier gauge? Would the same BMS be ok? I'm new to this & I'm wondering if the AC200 will pull more amps if there are more cells in parallel.
    Thanks

      No the load remains the same in this particular application 12A, but if you planned on powering other things then yes each pack can put out around 20A x 6 = 120A which would require 2awg at least

    Can we use a single BMS for all N cases of batteries?

    • @Sylvan_dB
      @Sylvan_dB 4 роки тому +1

      Yes, by connecting all the thin wires between the packs each cell group is now in parallel between the packs. Parallel cells act like one cell, forming a single 10s battery which needs only one 10s BMS.

  • @luvnotvideos

    I like the idea of booster packs, but the problem for van dwellers is charging the booster and Bluetti separately. We don't always have access to AC plugs to charge high capacity battery packs like this. Is there a way to connect this booster pack so it charges with the solar generator at the same time? Then the Bluetti will truly have double the capacity without having to worry about somehow charging two items separately.

    • @jehugarcia
      @jehugarcia  3 роки тому +1

      Yes plug into the Bluetti ac plugs, then charge your bluetti normally, it will take twice as long to charge your bluetti as it should since you now have twice the battery.

      @@jehugarcia LOL of course that makes sense. Can the packs be charged using DC instead of AC? (yes, I'm a total novice, hence the solar generator vs home built option - but I'm willing to learn).

    • @jehugarcia
      @jehugarcia  3 роки тому +1

      Yes they need 42v DC to fully charge, the bluetti only puts out 12v DC so you would have to boost it up

      My question is can you plug a third party battery into the battery port therefore boosting without having to charge separately from the Bluetti?
