  • Estimating how long a job will take is crucial for pricing out orders or knowing how much time you'll need to spend babysitting your laser. In this video we'll cover where to see a job time projection, and how to ensure the value displayed in LightBurn is as accurate as possible.

Still waiting for how to adjust this on my galvo fiber. Engraving is showing 35mins, but actual engraving is less than a few mins.

@@RaisingtheBARdesigns If you haven’t reached out to our support team already, I’d suggest doing that. They should be able to give you values that will improve the estimate. Galvos are never going to be perfect, but increasing the acceleration values in the simulation settings to about 15,000,000 should help quite a bit.

Great video! By chance, do you know if there's a setting to prevent the elapsed time from disappearing a minute or more before the job actually completes?
I would like to have a closer value so I can set an alarm on my smartphone when I'm running 10+ batches.

In the preview > the jog speed slider bar > handle for the slider preview. Why is mine only the height of the slider bar? I didn't realize it is supposed to be a large rectangle going beyond up & down above and below the slider so it is easy to grab. Mine is very small and difficult to grab.

What operating system are you using? The style of the control may depend on that.
