Great video! I was lucky to get an allocation and took delivery of my 2024 GTS a few months ago. Everything you say about the driving experience is 100% true! A rewarding sports car that you can actually USE for canyon drives, the track, and getting groceries. I’ve don’t all three. The intoxicating soundtrack, the high-fidelity steering, the slick shifter, all contribute to making every drive special. One correction: this 4.0 boxer is unrelated to the 4.0 in the 991 GT3. But it’s still amazing.
I predict the already insane prices of used Cayman and Boxters is going to skyrocket now that there is no more of them produced as Porsche has gone all Woke (and broke) and gone all electric ONLY... Last chance to order one with a real engine was 1 months ago.
This car puts a smile on my face every day I drive to work. I have a 2023 model of this car and I wish my commute to work was longer because driving this car is an absolute dream.
@@alida9694 you'll get there bruv. I've owned multiple sports cars in my lifetime and only kept my R8, 911 GT3, Lancer Evo 8, Civic Type R. Owning multiple is bad for my finances, insurances, space in the garage and registrations lol. With that said I still daily my Honda Accord 2010 to work. I also have a Nissan Murano with family rides, I don't use it as much as my Accord but I use it more than my sports cars. I don't daily my sports car like the original comment because of frugal reasons obviously and lastly taking them out for a spin occasionally/weekend/track days puts a smile on my face. Other than their performance, it helped me remind the days, months and years saving up for them. That happiness is not really gonna worth me much if I do it everyday, to me they're more than just a tool.
My 718 CGTS is also a manual. I'm still in break-in so I can't give it the beans yet...but soon! Traded up from a 981S manual with all the trimmings. The mid-engine line-up from Porsche is so under-rated.
I did not know you could get the 6 cylinder 3.0 L on Cayman WITH turbo ... That must be a beast, even the 2 liter 4 cylinder is a beast with a little turbo tune.
Mg GTS 4.0l Manual Boxster is or was one week old last Friday here on The Gold Coast, Qld Australia They're a great thing. All I can say is the Drive = Exceeds Expectations.
Parker you should here that engine with some over axle pipes and an exhaust valve controller 🎶 All for around $2k all in, absolutely frees up the sound beautifully
Porsche unfortunately pretty much revealed that the 992.2 911 and the next Cayman and Boxster will get rid of the analog tachometer and use a fully digital gauge cluster.
One of my dad's employees has one of these in Gentian Blue, also in manual. Spring is right around the corner, so it's time for him to get it back on the road.
At your age, you should know that sound perception impacts tone of voice. If you can't here yourself, you aren't able to determine if your speaking loud enough. Ever put on a pair of headphones? You speak louder because you aren't able to hear your voice. Cmon man...think.
Vehicle Virgins Awesome POV Drive Review I think that Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 looks like it's absolutey to drive and I can't wait to see the Full review
Here you only get to use first and second gear ;( Even on the highway with the highest speed limit you do not need to shift gear from second to third.... Any gear higher then third and you look at 1 month to 1 year in prison and no drivers license for 1 to 2 years. (and Running from police you can forget, within 900km you are the second Porsche on the road and the police KNOW who you are lol :)
I really like the interior of the Porches, reminds me of the old cars like Ford Escort Mk2 and Ascona B, FUNCTIONAL and good looking. New cars in genereal is horrible bad on the functionality and even worse now that everything is controlled by fuck screen that to top it of is ILLEGAL to use here while driving and give you a 1000£$€ fine...
I like mine, but there are 3 drawbacks: 1) the gearing is very very high. It makes the car far less enjoyable on the street 2) the tech is way-old. I mean 2 generations old. and 3) comfort and space are an issue. With mid-engine cars, you usually have to choose to have either -comfy legroom or -comfy back. You can't have both because the engine is there. Lastly, you can't get one under $100k. A decent spec is $115k. And then you bump into 911 pricing....
973 views 😂😂😂😂 How is it going big BOSS😂😂😂😂 In your next video we can count your views on our fingers 😂😂😂😂 Still refusing to take Uber licence? Refuse no more, I've predicted this in 2018😂😂😂😂 Who's the loser now?
Parker I’m impressed how you have climbed back to the top! You did a great job sticking with your passion…..you a good dude in my book!
I can't wait, mine is on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic right now...getting closer
Mine’s right behind yours - passed through the English Channel 2 days ago. 😊
Mine right behind you guys too (i got no money yet)
It's a beautiful day when you head to the dealership and see your beauty for the first time - congratulations!
Mines right behind you 😂

Sorry but this 4.0 is not related to the RS 4.0. It’s a bored out 3.0 turbo motor without the turbo.
Thats right, but still a great motor :)

The exact same gauge cluster from 2012. 12 year old now. Unchanged. Haha. Love it.
YES, do not "fix" things that is not broken and functions perfectly

Yes, it does 😁 I have the Akrapovic OAP and the Cargraphics controller on mine. I love it!

6:00 Probably the best for $100k

Not sure how your comment even relates to this issue.
He’s really, really loud. Period.
Hear.
Because he’s sitting where you wish you were 😂
The way you described this car sounds exactly like my 2nd gen BRZ.
Great review! Any tips on how to get an allocation for one??
Love it!
Love this car !!!
Whoa, this channel still exists?
Caraca, que estrada linda, e que carro maravilhoso

Huh huh he said “speedo” 😂😂😂
does anyone knows where this road is at or what state?

I’m seeing used 2023 for sale 15,000 miles over $100,000
which road is this?

It's about time you got a porsche, Parker!
Get whatever mid engine Porsche your drawn to & wallet will allow, it will make you smile.
I'm really enjoying driving my 987.1 on the twisty roller coaster roads here near the Trinity River. Lots of narrow back roads and they're great fun!
They won't, but I hope they get rid of all displays and have only analog instrumentation in the future.
o so fun.
sad you never actually get to use the 4 of the gears. Everythime he used 3rd he was speeding way over limit. You are stuck with 1st and 2nd...
Yeah, but is it geared too high?
You CANNOT BUY THIS FOR LESS than $100k.
with 20k miles yes
$50k per usable gear
This or Lotus Emira manual?
4:04 You just described my Nissan 350z Nismo!!
Wow that’s a cool car one day I own a sports car

Is this car better in manual or PDK?
This dude is kinda like Tophers view mixed with Sofyan’s voice lol.
