I wish I had a Tristan to drop in and cook delicious food! I love watching him cook, and he always shares a good tip or two. The results are always so beautifully presented, it could easily be on the Food Channel!🧡
As an EurAsian from Indonesia, I am pleased to see Tristan cook with adequate ustensils. Stirfrying and other cooking techniques ask for a wok. Though Tristan mentioned he will explain the importance of the 'mis en place", meanwhile it is helpful to show it on camera and the condiments and seasonings as well. Not everybody knows gochujang or the different (glutenfree?) soy sauces. The knuckle measurement and cracking eggs are often the first kitchen skills taught to kids in an Asian household, As for cooking the rice, sometimes it is preferable to steam it for nutritional reasons and you can find steamers in Asian stores. I appreciate Tristan for being a honest cook. Personally I would have served white rice for flavour and colour balance. A Chinese Singaporean friend explained me once that when your main is dark (protein), your side should be light and v.v. You will find aesthetic and tasteful variations for your classics. So the black rice with the salmon would have been FUIYOH in Uncle Roger's and nephew Nigel Ng's rating. From me it is a solid 👍🏼 for now. Not the hand gesture ♡ on your cover yet. And please note there is a typo: Sti*F* fry 😊 in the captions.
the way tristan put those mini bowls on his arm makes my heart almost jump! though i am familiar with how in Padang restaurants (a region in Indonesia) they really stack a lot of plates on top of each other then bringing it out to the customer haha. i appreciate this video! thank you always
OMG Korean Stir-fry is so good. Usually make stir-fries and chinese food myself.( not to brag lol) but, I love all Oriental food, especially sushi. Love you guys videos, keep up good work.....
Tristan is truly a great chef from his prepping skills to his knowledge of food and it's culture makes it so much more interesting and making me want to watch him everytime he cooks and make more ethnic cuisine they are truly blessed to have such a talented Son love the vlogs aloha from the hawaii ohana ❤️ 🤙
I would love to see a 'seasonal' season. Often we don't visit independent businesses as we think it costs more, it often doesn't, and certainly if buying seasonal produce. This way you're helping the little guy too!
Tristan WOW love love love this dish. I can't have spicy food however, once a year can't hurt. So feel you and Aaron cooking together or with the family is spot on. I do appreciate you explaining how to do something, whether it is how to slice or the right pan and which oil to use, Tristan your so rocking it. You truly make it fun to watch and almost wish I could cook the dish right along with you. I'm Truly a fan of your cooking and I love you two doing this channel together.
I am part Cuban so I suggest some Picadillo with yellow rice ( Vigo brand is my fav) saffron is too expensive to make myself. Fried Plantains called Tostones. I like to slice the green olives thin and I use golden raisins. Anyway that is my suggestion.
That looked incredibly delicious. I think a challenge cook with the same food and have them plated up the same way so they can’t tell who made the dish.
Latino family here, I oil the pot with olive oil first, then use a coffee cup for rice, 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. Add a chicken bouillon cube and some garlic powder. Then, use a fork to separate and level the rice. Cover and cook on low flame for 20 minutes.
OMG everything y'all cook looks delicious! I predict Tristian has a very prosperous career as a chef ( Watch out Gordon Ramsey - Bobby Flay - Guy Fieri ) *The only bad part is I can't have any Korean Beef Stir Fry! lol
What part of Joe leaving UA-cam for his own mental health do you not understand? His mental health is more important than being on a platform he doesn’t want to be on!
@@SarahBevan-p2l I don’t know if that’s true. Pretty sure the middles kids have a set dinner rotation where they cook meals weekly for the family. But I’m not sure how that’s relevant honestly I never even said anything about them in my original comment.
@@TreeThing912it doesn’t matter who eats what when they’re not your responsibility and you don’t pay their food bill. Also, they’ve said many times that they’re not all home together for their meals , so portions are smaller.
I know you didn't use in this video.. But let me teach you Worcestershire sauce UK pronunciation... Easy way... Say this fast.. Whoosh-tish-sha sauce x
I’m absolutely loving the cooking videos Iv been making some of the dishes . I’ve been really craving a good crab cake !! Maybe y’all could make some in tell the recipe?
An old fashioned lasagna would be a great idea. While I enjoy all your videos, it would be nice to see you make something that most people will make for their family.
I have just discovered organic Saigon Cinnamon. I find it a more rich flavor than other cinnamons. I would love different recipes in which it can be used. I have been using it to cover applesauce. I like it on my rice. And I would like to see what you guys think of it. I know there are some in the family who don't like cinnamon, but I think if they tried this one they would change their minds.

When I lived in Illinois my friend's mom used to make this whenever I come over and they are Korean but now that I live here I miss my friend's mom's cooking but I don't care for the black beans
Whenever I'm cooking and someone asks me, "how much seasoning or sauce do you add there," I say, you shake the bottle until the ancestors tell you to stop. Honestly unless you're baking, once you get into cooking, measuring spoons are just for decoration.
Just a tip for next time: add only 2 tablespoons of black rice for one cup of normal long rain. It will turn the rice purplish. (FYI Koreans dont cook black rice just by itself)
You guys should do a skyline chili review. You can buy the stuff online . I’m from Cincinnati . They have menus online but you should recreate things off the menu and review them
Instant pot rice - use pot in pot method. I measure out my rice and water in a stainless steel bowl, water in the bottom of my instant pot. Place bowl on rack. Use rice button. Let sit 20 mins. Enjoy!
Tristen u and Aaron like cook😊😊Do you two every made philley steaks Since you to liketo cook.different foods This vido looks yum yum😊 This food makes me hungery Ive never heard black rice sounds different

I just how Tristin explains things to where you can actually understand
good to learn also the basics eg cutting onions the right way - thanks a lot👍
This dish reminds me of my favorite dish, Korean Beef Bulgogi. You should look into making that one day. Its so Yummy!!
Yes I would love a video on how to season a wok or a cast iron pan
I need you guys to do fried pickles to show me how to do it...help me out here...lol
The knuckle rice measurements taught to all from Louisiana! My 93 yr old dad has taught all grandkids this way of cooking rice
Easy Crock pot meals!

Tristan need his own restaurant or at least food truck
Cook anything you want. I will watch !
That looked so good!
Another great cooking video
I'd like to see you cook enough food for your whole family (in every video)
Like they’ve said before, they are not all home at the same time, and don’t like the same foods. It would be a waste of food.
Love LOVE! This channel.❤
It was an interesting meal.🥰❤️
This looked very interesting, and tasty... might have to search out a local restaurant and check it out! Thanks for sharing... Best always....from BC
Tristan, dude - I know your mom is proud 🇰🇷
Would love some side dishes (banchan) with this stir fry!

Bring Joe in as a guest host with Tristan & Aaron. Definitely enjoy these videos.

If Tristan is cool like this comment
More than cool 😉😉
@@roouuddaaa I agree, also very handsome with all due respect to him. ❤😅
He's pretty awesome but I can't get over missing Joe ❤
His voice is very nice. Radio voice 😊
I love trustan he is the perfect last piece for thus family he has the cutest relationship with aroura but he's wonderful with the other kids too
Tristan deserves the Uncle title from Uncle Rodger
I agree!
I fall dinner for all the kids
I learned a lot from Tristan on how to cut stuff when cooking. Love your videos
Looks delicious Tristan 😋
It’s so refreshing to see the kids eating things other than tacos and take out every day! Though I don’t know how this would feed all the kids
Crazy middles have takeaway more than crazy pieces
They don’t normally cook for everyone when they film cooking videos

Garilc girl here food looks amazing ❤
A Korean food truck passed me today in San Tan. Name was Seoul something
You guys should do a live cooking show! Take a poll of what people would like to make then let us know what to buy so we can cook along with you!
My favorite food
You have to try Middle Eastern food. Love watching your videos
I know you didn't use in this video.. But let me teach you Worcestershire sauce UK pronunciation... Easy way... Say this fast..
Whoosh-tish-sha sauce x
Wow I never seen or gad black rice... I'm going to look for it to try it...

Cook something that you or Tristan don't like or have each of the kids do a basket of ingredients that you guess need to make
I grew up learning to rinse uncooked rice at least 3 times to wash off impurities and starch.
Danish food 😊 that would be interesting to see if you would like it. Or lunch, like smørrebrød. If you can get rugbrød somewhere or bake it yourself.
Try the filipino dish "adobo" and "sinigang" 😊
When I lived in Illinois my friend's mom used to make this whenever I come over and they are Korean but now that I live here I miss my friend's mom's cooking but I don't care for the black beans
Yes show us how to season the wok
What about some orange chicken or sweet sour chicken 🐓

Try cooking meat kabsa in one pot. It can be enough for a large family

It looks so tasty. I Wonder if you can give a choise insted of oyster sauce ? Im allergik to that but i want try cook this meal. ❤
I do like Kroger's kimchi but homemade kimchi is the best especially when you have it with some sticky rice
U need a rice cooker to make black rice cause it cooks better!!

I ALWAYS add at least one, sometimes two, depending on what I'm making, more cloves of garlic than the recipe calls for!!
