You’re an hypocrite. It is a Christian holiday, not a Jewish . Put up the menorah during Jewish holidays, not during the time representing the birth of Jesus, the one they persecuted and crucified.
So in a mainly Jewish area...lets say....Israel....Would the government offices there show Christian symbols along with others as well? Or is it just something the west has to do?

Who pays for extra security for obvious graffiti that will show up. That in itself, not the money, but waiting for graffiti is bad enough. Touchy situation.

Havering Council, in the UK, tried this sort of thing; the outcry from the public, Jewish and other faiths, soon got them to change their minds (I assume that local politicos have minds these day!). Come, on Moncton! Call your councillor, email the city administrators, give them a miserable week, and get them to reverse their decision.

Considering the antisemitism happening right now, it would likely be vandalized or torn down. I feel the Jewish community's pain though. I know some places are canceling the traditional christmas tree lighting celebrations in their town squares. Sad times we are living in. NYC had a huge pro Palestine protest during Christmas Tree lighting ceremony which turned very violent.

If someone really wants to come along with ladders or something, I'd be surprised they didn't have cameras (and you can add some if you really think that is going to be an issue) and then said vandals can explain it to a judge while their picture is posted across the 6-oclock news.

You may be right, but this means that they should have removed all decorations celebrating Christmas which also promotes a religion. In addition no one should have a statutory holiday for Christmas because that is specifically coupling state and religion.

Do they display a cross? If not, they should have a menorah. In fact, they shouldn't have any religious symbols on public property! Since religion is delusion, I find all such displays offensive!
Bad comparison.The equivalent of a cross would be A Star of David as they are religious symbols. A Menorah would be better compared to a Christmas tree as they are holiday symbols.

Governments should not spend money on religious sysmbols. If the local Jewish community (100 families) want a Menorah displayed, they can install one using private money. How about a Crescent moon and star for our Islamic brothers/sisters? Why limit it to Abrahamic mythology? Is there public money for Hindu's Om or Sri Chakra Yantra? Are we forgeting Odin, Thor or Misthras? Don't we have real world problems that need attention?
