    To whoever is reading this, I hope you heal from the things you don’t speak about. I hope you find peace within your day. If all you did was get out of bed today, have a glass of water, or even just did whatever you could, just know that’s the best you could do at that moment and that’s okay. Everyone sleep well and I hope the waves of relaxation wash over you. Sending love and healing and light to all of you.

    As a Taoist Monk of 50 plus years..I have cultivated Turtle Breathing...which entails 3 breathes per/minute. One breathe consists of 10 second inhale..10 second exhale...Thus 3 breathes per/minute. Also employing Reverse Abdominal Breathing. I practiced this style of breathing three times a day..30 minute sessions. No regrets.😊

    Remarkable presentation that offers true and helpful insight into the art of breathing.
    You obviously know what you're talking about.
    If I dare comment, the slowing of the breath will come naturaly through meditation and the right posture ( sitting upright) ; don't try to alter or manipulate it in any way.
    Just watch it come and go counting up to 21 as a start and , enjoy ! ❤

    as a monk have paid more attention to not only breathing Turtle- wise .. also notice the space and dimension at the turning points....between inhale and exhale there is pause call it the Shiva Pause..Bhairava... .between exhale and next inhale a longer pause....in these pauses bliss and restful awareness is the experience......use the bonus

    what does that mean…a length of 10 fingers…?

  • @verdier2294
    @verdier2294 Рік тому

    many aspects to it: measure your breath by the length of your fingers.....metaphysical....we have different length of fingers so..there is no standard. Our lung capacity is very different even girls and boys differ greatly...so no standard...Why they took the length of the fingers...? to make you go to experience . sit down.. practice ......breathing with diaphragm ...extending the ribcage to the left and right...breath sideways not so upwards with shoulders and clavicula..and neck. become aware...awareness is key & start. Consciousness gives the answer. Patanjali is the 1ste one to read...Any beliefsystem left behind is enlightening.... belief is risky..needed mainly for those who do not meditate ..use a mantra... wonderful secret mantra ...practised since Patanjali..has extraordanary qualities..the Hoo Kara ...revived see swami nithyananda...gives also state of samadhi while asleep...you surely notice. Practice before sleep....not easy cause of old karma comes up which has to be completed.
    Breathing the lenght of my fingers is a koan....if my breathing is 8 lengths of my fingers or 21 or 108...conscious.... staying conscious in (restfull) awareness is the essence...from there consciousness guides me further and gives clearity. Practice....little no talking

    Which animal controls the breath. Your imaginary 6 times or cycles in a minite is absurdity. There are several yogis and people like you teach unwanted things like this. It is stupidity. There are no texts in India and abroad to substantiate this. In pathanjali, there is a mention of 12 cycles a minute. Anything below this is impossible to achieve. Try yourself before saying something like this.

    Everything has been said excellently and all is true and real knowledge. But what has happened for lndia's fate is untold misery and we became sitting ducks to foreign invaders who knew nothing of ahimsa, yoga, meditation, human values etc and killed, raped and more than 40 thousand temples were destroyed and looted. The country where golden era was enjoyed was reduced to a poor country. All our knowledge of Atman and how to realise one's self was treated as dust. With a very sad and heavy heart l am concluding this.

      even today they throw temples deities in to the rivers and the police is watching to see nobody interferes or tries to salve them...nowadays it is all Pope christianity matters...even marc zuckerberg is paying missionaries to teach Pope religion in schools .......while jezus himself was in India from age 13 till 30 then returned ...and came back ....read the Akashic records yourself and discover...so today india's christians are fooled and deluded in great extent

    The narrator should not confuse the pronunciation of verbs with those of adjectives. "As soon as the disciple reached the monk..." In this sentence, "reached" is a verb and the vowel before the "d" remains silent. Just like shortly later with the word "asked".
