I'm a Gorilla Arms Girl all along since I started Cyberpunk 2020 at a long forgotten table in a got forsaken town something that translated into 2077 as well. I just love punching people. May cone down to me loving boxing irl. But having your female framed V. with this arms and 20 Body just obliterating foes is perfect.
Also with the brutal finisher of using people as weapons gets a new level to psycho. Everyone using them and the build sam prevented i inviet to Barghast ball.
I started a new character going berserker build only and its so nice having gorilla arms. The clouds receptionist asks you to check your weapons when you enter and you just casually saunter past her knowing Woodman is potentially in for a severe beating. I love it.
In the table top RPG melee is disgustingly over powered. I think my group could gave easily taken on Adam Smasher because I had on my hands a guy with 8 attacks and a dude with gorilla arms. No matter how much armor you have when it gets nullified by half and is reduced by one per hit it won't last long against those two.

BTW, Hammers do more damage than Baseball Bats and attack slower, the UI is bugged, but if you look at the numbers on the Stats screen you can see the difference. At Tier 5, Hammers real "Damage per hit" is 277(Baseball Bat is 190), and real "Attack speed" is 0.9(Baseball Bat is 1.2). The same rule applies to Caretaker's Spade, since it's classified as a Hammer, same damage per hit and attack speed as Hammers. Sasquatch's Hammer used to show the wrong attack speed, but this got fixed some patches ago, not sure why they haven't fixed this same bug for Hammers.
I heard that unlike bats, hammer isn't able to hit multiple enemies with one swing. If thats true, then that would still make hammers worse than bats.

About Sasquatch Hammer I would like to note that I, when facing Adam Smasher on Very Hard difficulty, turned on my Biodyne Berserk and just started bonking him with it like crazy. Upon Berserk's ending Adam Smasher's HP was on 8% and only think needed to end him was one more BONK. So, it may make you slow af it still is absolute boss melter.

I'm running a similar build, although I've made a few tweaks to synergize with electrical/shock damage, because I run satara and have a few perk points slotted into the tech tree and a couple cyberware items to go with it.
Most fun I've had in the game, by far, and I've tried it all: sandy, capacitor, cyberdecks
No surprises regarding the top spot, as the arms are just insanely fun and OPenis 19:38 (well played sam, well played)
Bravo on figuring out the iconic crowbar is good for sandevistan builds. That's actually really thorough and and a clever observation. Not sure I would have caught that.

Blunt weapons also go very well with the sandevistan and are a nice alternative to blades when running a sandy shotgun build!

Cottonmouth has been my Cyber Psycho neutraliser, the extra effects make fighting some of the tougher encounters a lot better to deal with & I was using a Sandeviston Tech/Katana weapon user over Berserker
I used the steel pipe for a good chunk of one of my playthroughs, mostly because it was the best I had plus the *THUNK* sound is comedically satisfying to me.😂
I use Tinker Bell for the Cyberpsychos and Lina Malinas Baseball Bat for general mayhem.

I have been meaning to try what I will call the Goku build combining Gorilla Arms with a sandevistan. Rapidly appear behind enemies to punch them before anyone can even react. Fist of the North Star could be another reference if one prefers.
I am hoping to see a guide by you particularly about the best way or order to go about the Gigs, Jobs, Story and DLC. There are so many small interactions and details that are easily missed. I am sort of working on it myself using the videos you made about the regions and their secrets but like for instance I usually kill Jotaro very early on and then find out much later on he was a pretty big deal scumbag. If someone wanted to maximize their immersion into the world who should they do?

I've loved the gorilla arms since I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 on launch. Even with the other arms cyberware and the tons of melee weapons available, I keep coming back to solving problems using said hands. Berserk, Sandy, or Netrunning, it's just a lot of fun with the gorilla arms. My only complaint post 2.0 is that they had to lock the Blunt weapon finisher behind the maxed out Body attribute of 20, as oppose to other melee finishers at 15.

I love the hammer even if it is on the lowest end of what blunt weapons have to offer. It just fits the overall vibe of what I want from a blunt weapon build so needless to say I'm a little sad they never added in another option iconic wise. Something like a crazy rocket propelled hammer that boosted you forward with the swing and had a chance to launch enemies at low health would of been so cool.
How you put out so much content escapes me
my first playthrough was with a tf2 heavy build with an lmg a shotgun and gorilla arms, ngl i have tried katanas, rifles and netrunner and its still the most fun by a longshot
I know the Hammer isn't great as a weapon, but God damn does it feel good to use. One of my favorite builds was a Reflex/Body hybrid who used a Hammer alongside a Sandy sneak up behind everyone and club them into the dirt with a single charged swing to the dome. The "THUNK" it makes is just so gloriously chunky.
How is it now great? It is literally the hardest hitting weapon in the game (I think his UI is bugged cause it actually hits way harder than a bat)

It's not a glitch Sam, you need to beat Rhino, the Animal's gang leader in her level of the "Beat on the Brat" side-quest; she will then *give you permission to use the vender*, otherwise he'll remain a regular hostile npc..

You don't have to fight Sasquatch to get her hammer in that quest. If you are really sneaky, you can pick it up from the crate it's leaning on while she is wandering around looking for you.
It seems like a nice choice would be mix and match arm mods.

My first playthrough just after release was with blunt weapons. It was fun. Still can't aim with ranged though.
All things considered, I do not accept that even after all these years not a single soul created a mod to change the sound of the baseball bats to the "BONK" sound effect
One thing I don't uderstand about the adrenotrigger is do you have to escape out of combat entirely before you can use it again or resets itself. Because if your in a fight againt ncpd your technically always in combat.
I think if you're going to rock the sasquatch hammer, you need the Leeroy ligaments that give you a constant 18% sprint speed buff. That would help negate part of the very heavy effect of the weapon.
True though provided you remember to unequip the hammer when moving, the double jump can still provide more control when lining up superhero landings
@@SamBram yeah definitely, I'm honestly just trying to find a use case for arguably the worst iconic (Leeroy) in the game haha.
It's a shame that Leeroy is just a gag based off of Leeroy Jenkins. I really wish they made the other leg implants significantly better to justify picking them instead of double jump (rocket jump can somewhat be justified given it has more armor and you could use air dash to mimic it to a lesser degree).
I think they should allow Leeroy and Jenkins to be paired together (equipping Leeroy should open up a slot that allows Jenkins to be equipped as well). That seriously could make the sasquatch hammer build work and make you feel like you're playing the Juggernaut (I would probably give it a synergy bonus as well where you get a bonus 200 armor and 20% health Regen when you have both equipped). There should be some sort of mitigation bonus added to the sasquatch hammer as well to make it worth not swapping out of. I like the idea of seeing someone wield it being so intimidating it gains mitigation the more enemies you neutralize with it. It would also be interesting to see a momentum element where you pick up speed in your attacks the more you attack (so long as you don't run out of stamina), but lose movement speed equal to the gain of the attack speed. So if there's a ton of enemies grouped together you can really build up crazy momentum from the weight of the weapon with your swings, regaining stamina with the cyberware that regens it after neutralizing an enemy, but you would be obviously moving slower since the weapon is so unwieldy once you start to swing it faster and faster.
Man, if I knew how to mod that in the game I totally would because that sounds like a fun build.

Gorilla arms are a fair top choice and there is something strangely satisfying when your just throwing haymakers obliterating everyone I like the thermal ones cause it literally makes fire come out of your hands
Also surprised you ranked hammers so low there on of my favorite blunt weapons but maybe asthetics do have something to do with that, I hope in the sequel they make a hammer like reins in overwatch( it has a rocket boost to increase the swinging speed and just looks badass)

There may be better alternatives available, but there is just something about pulling out my "ol' faithful" baseball bat as Street V that just feels right to me.
maybe an interesting thing, but I found Sir John Phallustiff in Fingers' shower tub, sure it's not pick-up-able, but using a noclip mod I nudged it and it fell through the floor so it should be the same ingame model... and I didn't side with Meredith..

My favourite weapon in the game has always been Tinkerbell. It was nice seeing the stunner so high on this list.
When it can drop full health Maxtac with a single hit potentially at any level, it's kind've tough to justify ranking much above that
I always liked the fists as lets my build be more thna just melee.
As someone who just finished a berserk/blunt weapon playthrough, Baseball bat X-MOD 2 >>> since everything dies in one to two hits + a finisher anyways regardless of weapon, making you feel like a badass takes priority IMO.
The green glow from the spade has nothing to do with FF easter egg. It’s just a nod to the boss battle where the Caretaker powers up and hits the dummies to restore his health. His spade turns green.
I think “bonk” factor should be considered here too (how each weapon sounds when bouncing off an enemies dome) but that’s just me…

Man, you were right...Pozhar XMod2 with two Kneel mods BREAKS THE GAME, I cannot use it. Literally just sprint through enemies and shoot towards their legs, you'll instagib everyone.
Replace one kneel with Firecracker. You only need to aim at the ground near them and can kill multiple enemies in one shot 😉

Hammer does do more damage than baseball bat in my game? at 5++ Hammer does 240 while Baseball Bat XM2 only do 215, they have the same attack speed and hammer cost 4 more stamina to swing. Plus Hammer has the heavy weapon disadvantage ofc.
And even though the damage difference seem small, in actual gameplay Hammer generally kills everything in notably fewer swings, max tac included

Honestly the gold bat is number 1 for me mainly because its incredibly fun to use
Am I the only one who thinks gorilla arms are kinda underutilized in melee builds? We can only use them as a melee weapon themselves, when really, they should also act as a multiplier for ALL melee weapons. It's not like those arms are only designed for punching, they'd increase your basic strength and speed for anything you're holding.

I think I prefer one of the actual weapons over gorilla arms. I play on ps5 and with the decreased FoV, I often lose track of my targets when I’m rushing around with gorilla arms. And, since my last name is Murphy, the perfect weapon exists for me already 😁

Easily had the most fun with Sir John but I have 2 daughters who aren't old enough to drive so it might only be because I have so little time on the day that he is an option.

Smacking people with the destroyers of dignity is like having your own studio audience or laugh track. My next play is going to be a street kid and gorilla arms because that combo seems to be a natural fit.
I FOUND KNEEL IN THE WILD.
When we go to that party with Songbird and play roulette with the runners.
When you first sneak in to that balcony spot and then start walking towards the doors to the main hall, keep walking all the way to the end of the balcony. There is a box on the ground with KNEEL in it.
The placement of items in loot boxs is random after 1.52. So dont expect to find it there in a new game.

My biggest annoyance with blunt weapons is that 90% of the time, when I'm making a blunt weapons build, I'm theming it as a raging Oni. But while we gave two iconic baseball bats, we don't have any iconic Kanabo.
And yeah, the golden bat is fine. It has the studs that I can imagine make it a modern day equivalent to a kanabo, but it still just doesn't look entirely right.
I really hope that CDPR adds iconic versions of the arm Cyberware.
Delivering the final death blow to Adam Smasher with Sir John Phallustiff is still the funniest, most dignity-robbing way to end him.

Weird thing I encountered with sasquatchs hammer is that it was lying on the ground before the fight with sasquatch even began. And I'm pretty sure she wasn't wielding it
Having her Hammer on the ground is the constant way the encounter begins, its only after awhile into the fight that we can see her go over and pick it up.
