While Joshua Graham is referred to as the Burned Man, and some people jest that General Lee Oliver is the Drowned Man, I like to call my Courier "The Buried Man".
Fun fact, the final safehouse is where the mod originally began, with your character waking up from a concussion caused when they fired a 40mm grenade launcher at point blank range at some bandits trying to steal his/her beans.
maybe it bounced off of the bandits, knocked the player character out, and then bounced back at them, in the meantime covering the distance needed to arm the explosive, by which point the player character was on the floor and shielded from shrapnel behind a conveniently placed footlocker.
@@WSilvermane Played this and Frost, liked that more just with the whole nuclear winter setting. Other than that, yeah both mods are just kill anything that moves while your food and water run out way too fast. Gets old quick, thankfully Jon makes it entertaining.
I was thinking the same thing lol!!! Like they are missiles dude!!! The game is being generous by only making it 6 LBs when it very well should be 10-20 LBs
@@nathannicelley7502 Based on a quick Google search a RPG-7 grenade are typically 4.5 kg or 9.9 pounds. Im assuming what ever model of missile launcher they use would be comparable to the weight of the RPG-7
@@haroldbalzac6336 OG-7V HE-FRAG warhead is among the lightest warheads (outside of training ammunition maybe) and it is still ~1.76kg, or ye 4lbs or so. It is extremely slim (only 40mm diameter), and even the AT non-tandem PG-7VL is 2.43kg with only the front end being 'beefier'. Not comparable at all to the missile in Fallout, which is actually closer in appearance to the HEAT rocket fired by the PF-98. That thing is 120mm in diameter which is closer to the in game missile, and it weighs over 8kg for just the rocket and warhead alone. And the missile in game is supposedly a real missile, not just a rocket. Additional electronics that it needs, plus the motor sustainer and the fuel for long range shots, total should make it easily over 10kg. For reference, the standard HJ-8E ATGM (also 120mm diameter) is over 12kg, or about 27lbs.
Jon the NCR, in Dust, are NCR remnant/defectors they are not the friendly soldiers you once knew. They have become more or less an organised militia, that's why they vary in standard military fatigues. You'll find evidence of them mass murdering people all across the Mojave, and killing any non NCR members on sight, look out for notes on dead members, they detail why this happned as well as what the NCR did during the fall of the Mojave.
This is the universe after Evil Jon went through Mojave isn't it? With the few survivors of each faction going to war over the scraps that are left. It would make sense with why the plumbing didn't work considering that she (With Yes man's help) destroyed the Dam causing it to break irreparribly.
This and the frost series brings me strange comfort. I rewatch them periodically, pop them on in the background while I'm working on stuff. It's soothing
I do a similar thing with his kill everything fallout runs, I've forgotten about MATN multiple times over the last decade ish but those kill everything runs showing up in my recommend months or years later always brings me back
I wrote that comment before even watching the video, I didn't actually expect you to jump in like a maniac. So, here are some non-spoilery pointers from a former survivor: 1. Tunnelers are spawned instead of geckos. Therefore, in an area where you would expect to find geckos (like Lone Wolf Radio or Clark Field) you WILL find packs of the bastards. 2. One big difference between New Vegas and 4 is that in New Vegas you can craft ammunition. Remember that. 3. Always grab the crafting kit, and note that bandages and throwing spears will be your BESTEST friends during the early game. 4. Abominations now flee from ALL fire damage, not just flares. Get yourself a makeshift flamethrower stat. 5. I'm pretty sure that perception doesn't affect VATS accuracy, all that affects it is the same as regular aiming: strength and weapon skill. 6. Some people you met in New Vegas make an appearance here. Some places to check for these familiar faces (who WILL MURDER YOU): Lake Mead Cave, Zion Valley (roaming around there), Salvation Fields (formerly Sharecropper Farms) and 188 Trading Outpost. 7: Mojave Ghost People work by different rules. Unless you get the Ghost Hunter perk (ghost people die when they are killed, that's the way it should be), they just get back up; as a second, more terrible detail, some of them are souped as fuck, running around like Sonic the Hedgehog on SUPER COCAINE and ragdolling you with every single punch, which usually combines into stunlocking you FOREVER. 8. The Cloud is only around in the Sierra Madre and the Strip (reasons), and while in it, you take the regular amount of damage that you took in vanilla and also ENEMIES ARE INVISIBLE. 9. The Legion Safehouse is the original (and therefore "canon") starting location. Two pointers on this: There is an exit tunnel to your left when you spawn that leads you to more interesting tuff and less violent mauling, and once you reach Nipton (probably your first pit stop), for some reason the enemies won't enter the store where you found the crippled Powder Ganger in vanilla. Kill the one baddie that spawns there, and you can just use it as a sneak-abusing, cheese-snorting base. 9. I forgot to add that there is a main backstory that you can find through the game, and it will lead you to both the main ending (out of four) and show you how the world ended up majorly like this. The first part of the main route (so you can do the rest yourself, you lazy bum!) is: Black Mountain (getting fisted up the ass by Supermutants), Camp Golf (getting fisted up the ass by Rangers), New Vegas Sewers (getting fisted up the ass by just about everything).
Gay_Leonian_Nerd I sort of feel like going to Zion or the Mojave outpost would be the two most sensible potential escape routes because they’re trade routes that canonically lead out of the mojave
Dapper Krogan Here’s a spoiler so if you don’t read it if you want to find it out for yourself If you go to Zion The wendigo will hunt you down, and i may be wrong but Daniel locked one of the entrances to escape before being slaughtered
Jon, you missed the escape tunnel from the Legion Safe house. It's got some cool lore implications in it and of you leave the tunnel and go right out of it you can find a shack guarded by some survivors with a back pack that has been inside every time I've played dust.
REBLOG Hey MATN I’ve played Dust before and wanted to give a few pointers. First I suggest heading to either the Silver Rush or The New Vegas Health Clinic as both are good starting points. Second you may wanna download the Understone Mod as it was made to work within this mod. Other than that wish you the best of luck.
Shadow Monk 7 under stone wasn’t made by the same people, though it is a mod that is commonly used with New Vegas to provide a hub of sorts without doing what Alchestbreach did and mod the living hell out of it to make it more playable for himself 😂😂
tell MATN to use some of the quality life mod like Deus Ex Weapon Spread mod & one of the two guns animation such as Hitman47101 or Asurah Reanimation Pack mod.
I let out a very deep, very audible belly laugh when you did the close up on Doc Mitchell and mentioned that it had been a bad few years. I don't know why, but that truly tickled me - thanks for that, Jon.
This specific series has a special place in my heart because I watched this series when I was going through a tough moment,I was moving to my neighbors because I got evicted from old house and the week before that my shoulder had been dislocated at work so I had a lot going on and couldn’t do much so this series had helped me keep sane(no pun intended about the game)and I enjoyed it very much so thank you John
Fun fact about the volcanic pistol. It was one of the first lever action firearms designed, later the design would be utilized in the world famous Henry rifles, that Winchester later copied to even more fame and success. Although the volcanic pistol was infact a commercial failure due to the ammunition being so weak a man shot himself in the temple and the bullet didnt even go through. Fun fact!
Toliver of Arkansas Because naugrim thought it would be a good idea for you to kill a certain someone instead of just not having them be in the mojave and let people imagine what happened to said person
What I hate about mods like this is how NPCs behave in combat. The player has to be exceedingly careful in their approach as they could be killed nearly instantly and must conserve their ammunition. NPCs however will blindly rush the player with infinite ammo and when the player wins the fight the NPC's corpse will be carrying a broken gun and about two rounds of ammunition on it.
I agree- Naugrim actually mentioned he considered and tested giving the NPC's limited ammo, but in his opinion that made the game too easy because they dropped enough of it that you could quickly stockpile it. (especially considering many enemies respawn constantly.) On a larger level, that reckless approach is how the AI works in the base game and I imagine that would be quite hard to change in a mod. Of course there are several ways around this- giving everyone only a few bullets so that they can't just spam them, and also encouraging sneak attacks so you can take them alive and their precious ammo too. Fallout Frost does this, but it still has the unavoidable instant-kill animations that melee enemies love because Bethesda has no idea what fun game design means.
And that's just the thing. NPCs act as this lifeless, meaningless obstacle rather than as people. These worlds talk about how life is hard and how people have to gather resources just to survive one more day. When the player kills an NPC, they are taking the life another human being, a human being that's entire life led up to the moment the player killed them; everything that person was and ever will be is instantly erased by the player, but that's not how the game acts. Sure, many of the people the player kills should be these desperate, destitute nobodies that charge the player with a knife or a single magazine of pistol ammo in hopes of killing the player for their own survival, but where are the people similar to the player? Where's the people that have even the slightest amount of value on their corpse or in their lair? In my experience, DUST had each and every NPC be in the center of those two classes: characters with infinite ammo that rush the player and die with no AID items or ammo on their corpse. Not even the NPC Courier had the courtesy to have some food or ammo in his secret lair to compensate for how much of a bitch it is to kill someone that's armed with an automatic .50 BMG rifle in this mod.
Yes, that is because this whole mod is very poorly crafted and balanced. Once you start looking for it you even start seeing very clear signs of corner cutting or outright unfair behavior. For example, there are assets for graves but instead a corpse was dumped in that wagon. Also, you saw that camp with the tunnelers? There are 5-7 of them, they only spawn when you get within a certain distance, and they will chase you literally forever with you never going out of caution even if they all don't know where you are because you hid when they killed the people there. They are clearly designed to as part of an event that is just supposed to straight up murder you and gets screwy if you play it out well. The town of Nipton where the Legion murder everyone? They have all their assets swapped so the same spawns for dogs and legion occur but now their all tribals. The corpses inside are all basically in the same spots as well but now they are all white horses or something. There are many many doors that are fused shut, have rocks/bricks in from, or w/e to close off a looting spot or side area that you might have been able to use or which the mod didn't want to bother altering. Also many doors are hard locked and after a couple hours of gameplay and exploration I found 0 bobby pins anywhere so everything that has a lock period may as well be inside fort Knox no matter what difficulty the lock is. Also, all wildlife is everywhere is now Deathclaws, Tunnelers, and Ghouls with a spritzing of Cazzadors, Night Stalkers, and Ghost People. Many of the remaining wildlife spawns that you can still find feel like they are in spots that were missed, like an errant bark scorpion or coyote in the middle of an area full of tunnelers or ghouls or ghost people. As a personal gripe, this is also a case of a meter sitting survival mod, to the point that trying to keep your water, food, and rads low utterly miserable.I once slept for 24 hours with 0 hunger and thirst and when I woke my character instantly died from over 1000 of both. Rads is the worst because the mod removes like 99% of all medical boxes, and since there are no rad aways and all food and water gives you rads you are sure to die after a certain point, meaning it isn't a survival mod like it claims because you actually can't without installing mods like Understone to give actual shop options. And you do actually need to be able to survive because I looked up the actual path to beating the game and it is long and hard. Honestly I can just keep going. Many starting locations insta kill you making them not starting locations at all. Npc behavior and loot is miserable as you have mentioned. Many of the new weapon and gear suck to use or are significantly underpowered (ex: it is actually very hard to kill ANYTHING with molotovs even though the game goes out of it's way to give you multiple crafting recipes to make them). Many characters and factions that shouldn't be auto hostile, like the FOLLOWERS OF THE APOCALYPSE that have existed since the LITERAL NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE as a pacifist group try to murder you on sight. Etc.
You have some good points, and I agree that the mod does go too far in difficulty in a number of unfun ways. Underpowered weapons (although once you get a marksman carbine and Guns 100 most fights are a breeze if you have enough ammo), lack of vendors or bases and general supplies. Also, many starting locations are too close to enemies. The ones with humans can be outrun, but tunnelers are literally a deathtrap. I get the feeling that naugrim wanted to deliberately make a mod that would weed out the easily annoyed or undedicated, which is definately a dick move on his part. As much as I enjoy this mod, it's story and atmosphere are still superior to the gameplay, which is a bit too masochistic for my tastes. I'm a compulsive quick-saver and installed other mods (giving me sprint, refillable water bottles, a fix that makes tunnelers less insanely perceptive, ect) but the start is a crapshoot. In comparison, once you're properly geared, you can just stomp your way through most of the wasteland as long as you have ammo (with the exception of a few areas. Don't go to Nellis AFB unless you like quicksave spam to avoid being blown up. Don't go to Red Rock canyon and thereabouts unless you like 1-hit kill tunneler queens. Don't go to Lake Mead unless you have leveled explosives (which is otherwise usless) to defuse buried mines.) The replacement of normal npcs with new ones is debatable. Personally, I think it makes storming Camp Golf far more exciting considering the huge number of NCR there. On the topic of Goodsprings, it's pretty obvious to me that the plague escalated so badly that they didn't have enough healthy people to bury all the dead (which is why the bodies are still lying around. Bobby pins may be scarce, but I still managed to find enough to get me through on both playthroughs I did. Also, getting lockpick to 100 makes the Vegas route much easier. I feel that the main issue would be rather that you basically have to kill enemies to get them. The survival rates are also a problem, partly thanks to a known bug that is easy to fix. Also, there's no shame in installing a mod that makes those requirements less stingy. On the topic of radiation... level survival and mass purify water. Be careful around ghouls and drink beer and wine. -10 rads, doesn't give you rads, lowers thirst and improves sanity. Drinking like a fish is the best way to survive long term. Characters and factions shouldn't be auto-hostile. I agree with you. At the very least, more characters besides random tribals and a few survivors should only aggro when you enter their area instead of when they spot you at far greater ranges than the main game. For me, creeping through the vegas suburbs at level 1 was an awesome and tense experience, but I can understand why people might not like the trial and error nature of it. My main criticism would be how the rpg mechanics have been gutted- as in, half of them are now useless. Charisma and perception? Useless because there's no companions, no one to talk to, and the compass doesn't show anything at all. Strength and Endurance are mandatory 8 or above if you want to have fun, with carry weight and damage how it is. Sneak, Survival, and Guns are just the best and most useful skills. Explosives, energy weapons, unarmed, medicine, speech, barter, all these other skills are basically worthless. Either they're just inferior to the big three, or you have too limited resources to make use of them. Tack a 50 repair or 50 lockpick on depending on what ending you're going for. (the easiest is in searchlight airport. All you need is a bunch of electronic junk and to avoid the enemies in the area to fix a plane and GTFO.)
Just an idea for the future; since you spent time in Frost, and now you're doing Dust, and you're second guessing Naugrim's motivations/inspirations for them both; how about a chat with Naugrim one day? Since you survived Frost at such a low level, and you're an acknowledged FO Nerd, I think it could be a very interesting interview/chat/virtual meetup. Maybe just audio and footage if it makes either of you more comfortable. Bring Claire to help you get past your own awkwardness. ;-)
It would be pretty cool to see Jon do a chat or interview, or even an episode with the mod's creator. Assuming he's still interested in talking about it, of course. But if he put that much time into this mod, I'd expect he'd still be happy to talk about it with another Fallout fan.
ngl, having the feral ghouls be head-shot only is still a dumb idea. I thought it was just Bethesda that treated ferals like generic zombies, but apparently not. I don't care how much your mind and body have mutated, a shot to the spine is gonna put you on the ground.
Well even in most zombie things that's true, I think it's more so that ferals don't need everything a human does to function, they are just instincts with legs at this point
Edge I think in this case it was the mechanics the dust mod was going for. It's much harder to headshot so it makes you more nervous going into combat.
Me: Alright, he's finished Autumn Leaves. That's why I was here. It's probably time to unsubscribe. UA-cam feed: Fallout New Vegas Mods - Dust Me: Well I guess this is how I'm spending my time now.
There is no reason to unsubscribe. While I agree that some seasons are better than others (of course it's purely subjective). His Let's Plays vary in genres and I think anyone can find what they like. A month ago I wasn't looking forward to new videos so much, but lately CKII, Dust, Hitman. I hoped to see all of them and my wishes came through. If there is nothing else to watch on other channels, Jon's commentary is entertaining no matter what he plays, so sometimes I watch him play some games I am not interested in at all.
Thank you for enlightening us then. Finally I can unsubscribe from channels I do not enjoy! Seriously though, nobody said you cannot unsubscribe ever, but you don't seem to understand that. It is your choice and nobody takes that away from you. I just meant there is plenty to enjoy other than Autumn Leaves and Dust, but do whatever the hell you want, person. No heart will be broken, I promise.
+Ryan Cave Yeah, because nothing says "this totally isnt ruining the experience" more than casually jogging away from death. I mean, sure, its death, BUT, you are working on your cardio. Thats whats important. Cant let rabid death machines get in the way of your long term goals.

Im a runner in real life, so I cant stand just jogging away from death lol its aggravating. Silly, in fact. Ive always been faster than most people, so its not unrealistic to me. But, to each their own.

I would shit and piss myself and probably die of a heart attack before I would even leave the "safe house". Now, can we have fun again please?
I tried watching "Wanderer" play this series and he spent 90% of his vod inside the pip boy explaining every minute decision he was making. It was excruciating to watch but I got some good sleep last night as a result. I definitely like you better because you dont spend tons of time fucking around in the pip boy planning when you are going to take a shit for the next 20 years, thank you for that.
Quick tip: Hammers are your best friend, at a workbench you can scrap a hammer for one wood and one scrap, which can be used to make throwing spears which have 100% chance to hit in VATS at 1 perception from a decent range, one shot most people/creatures and only require a single hammer to make.
very importantly, you will probably want the tunneler detection fix! Tunnelers will seek in on you from miles away, if you try to sneak without it. For some reason the dev bugged the detection of the tunnelers to the point where they will almost always see you *if you sneak* but not if you're just standing normally.
Playing as Doc Mitchell... but deliberately does not take the Medicine skill. Instead specialises in Guns, Melee Weapons and Sneak. Erm. Err. Okaaay...How does that work? Are we just going with a completely different character (maybe a former soldier, or burglar judging from the stats) also named ‘Doc Mitchell’? or did the good doctor have a mid-life crisis and a bout of amnesia - that made him learn fighting skills but forget all of his medical knowledge. I am confused.
lol you forgot something about Doc Mitchell there, ever since modding community arise in the Mojave, Doc Mitchell House is one the best weapons supplier ever if you need one, for FREE why not !! he got Millenia, & many others.

If you need to use grenades always use VATS in New Vegas. The percentages are garbage but that's just to hit with the grenade itself. You'll almost always catch the target with the blast even with low %
Also, its nice that you have spawn options in this version. The old version I played you started off by the nuclear test site with only a mostly broken grenade rifle and something like 2 shots...
Started this after playing the mod myself for a good while, had a gleeful moment at the "going east because there's water at Lake Mead" bit. "he doesn't know :pepelaugh:"
not sure what description you're reading. PN is only mentioned in the description of the mod under "known bugs and incompatibilities". it does say that only the PN rebalance breaks the game though.
Halfway through the video he says that Dust isn't wildlife heavy. Oh boy, he's yet to realize that half the open world map is flooded with 4-5 deathclaws at once and packs of 10+ tunnelers at once and that the sewers below Vegas are flooded with close to a hundred ghost people with superhuman powers. As much as I like Dust, it needs some 3rd party addons to make it not total bullshit because using the mod as-is is just a broken mess. Ghost people in the sewers for instance, can't possibly die. You can hit them at point blank range with a fatman and they won't even flinch, their speed and damage values have been altered into oblivion meaning that they can close a 200mt gap from you in 3 seconds and stun-lock you into punching you to death and sending you flying halfway across the world. Tunnelers are broken in the sense that not only there are dozens of them swarming you at once, but they can spot you from a mile away (and well beyond the "fog of war" effects the mod adds) meaning that you can't see them until it's too late but they can see you a lot quicker and better. Plus, they're also broken in the sense that despite being hostile by default, they can only spot you and charge at you if you're sneaking. If you're standing and casually walking, it'll be a lot harder for them to see you. They still will attack you on sight, but it negates the "beyond fog of war Superman vision" bullshit. In the Dead Horse dlc map (Zion), there is one spore people guy that is literally invincible. Unlike ghost people that require you to hit them hard and for a very long time to even damage one of them (and still, they regenerate health faster than mutated ghouls in Lonesome Road), this mutant can't die because it's set to be invincible and "essential" as if it was a companion in non-hardcore vanilla difficulty. This mutant will also stalk you at night and there's only one way to get rid of it temporarily, but unlike even deathclaws and tunnelers, this thing knows at all times where you are, even if you're halfway across the entire world from it. Not being able to drink from water sources that are clearly meant to be used is also bullshit. Use extra mods if you want to actually enjoy this mod.
All of these things are arguably true and I agree with you. Of course, the issue comes in when you start adding mods that break the game so hard it becomes fairly easy again, but your ability to choose your own difficulty level like that is pretty original. The whole thing is one big self imposed challenge anyway. There is a mod on the nexus that fixes the tunneler detection issue, so you can actually sneak properly near them. They're still highly perceptive, but it makes stealth non-useless. The best solution to the sewers is to level lockpick and skip the sewers. I was fortunate enough to be warned by others, and I am still grateful I never went down there. And I agree that not being able to drink or store water in many places is also infuriating. I tried getting a fillable bottle mod but couldn't get that to work.
I think these "what if" scenarios are so freaking cool. DUST is the king of them in my opinion. I still have yet to play it for myself, but I have watched it a ton and it just gives you a sense of dread. As Zach Hazard of Mikeburnfire said, "This is a realistic portrayal of a post-apocalypse".
3:56 "Zombies? We're ghouls. Zombies are a type of undead with no free will. Although we share certain physical characteristics -- most notably, the rotting flesh and characteristic morbidity -- we are creatures of free will." - wooz
Firstly, if you don't mind, I'd like to share some observations on the animal life in the mod. All geckos of the base game were replaced by the tunnelers, and coyotes (maybe wild dogs too) by the nightstalkers
Jon: Walks out of building wearing a tribal helmet, NCR armor and wielding a machete... all of it covered in blood. Also Jon: "Why is everyone hostile!?"
theres a mod called Fallout DUST Tunneler Detection Fix. the venomous tunneler subtype spots you from way too far away(sometimes beyond draw distance), which this fixes.

Fun fact, the final safehouse is where the mod originally began, with your character waking up from a concussion caused when they fired a 40mm grenade launcher at point blank range at some bandits trying to steal his/her beans.
Don't 40mm grenades usually have an arming distance? This always irked me in Fallout.
Sebastian Johansson I suppose that most 40mm grenades are produced after the war.
maybe it bounced off of the bandits, knocked the player character out, and then bounced back at them, in the meantime covering the distance needed to arm the explosive, by which point the player character was on the floor and shielded from shrapnel behind a conveniently placed footlocker.

There's actually a back door XD This is the case for at least two other starting locations: the warehouse and one of the safehouses
killa queen already touched that door
Jon the NCR, in Dust, are NCR remnant/defectors they are not the friendly soldiers you once knew. They have become more or less an organised militia, that's why they vary in standard military fatigues. You'll find evidence of them mass murdering people all across the Mojave, and killing any non NCR members on sight, look out for notes on dead members, they detail why this happned as well as what the NCR did during the fall of the Mojave.
Maybe Dust is now canon based off what we saw of the NCR from the show 🤔
This is the universe after Evil Jon went through Mojave isn't it? With the few survivors of each faction going to war over the scraps that are left. It would make sense with why the plumbing didn't work considering that she (With Yes man's help) destroyed the Dam causing it to break irreparribly.
Underrated comment
jon wondering if people actually get berried in new vegas despite the opening of the base game being your character getting buried in a graveyard.

*squeals loudly* GO TO THE SEWERS JON. THEY ARE SAFE AND FULL OF FOOD AND WATER.
I wrote that comment before even watching the video, I didn't actually expect you to jump in like a maniac. So, here are some non-spoilery pointers from a former survivor:

The Legion Safehouse acts as a good base of operations.
right, that's all well and good but are you planning on siding with the townsfolk or the powder gangers in ghosttown gunfight

Amir Palamar Thanks for the info
tell MATN to use some of the quality life mod like Deus Ex Weapon Spread mod & one of the two guns animation such as Hitman47101 or Asurah Reanimation Pack mod.
Yeah DUST was made by ONE PERSON, a full time engineering student -- Naugrim. Understone has NOTHING to do with him.

Fun fact!
So one of the first ever lever actions was nothing more than an ovetvlorified BB gun because of how bad it was?

Don't go to Lake Mead unless you have leveled explosives (which is otherwise usless) to defuse buried mines.)
The replacement of normal npcs with new ones is debatable.
@@Hobobatman1000 this dude really wrote a theoretical thesis on humanity about NPCs for a mod of a 10 year old game.

"next to Deathclaws they're not that bad"

Wanted to watch this series again. Can't believe this is 4 years old. Feels like last year. Good content, Jon!
ngl, having the feral ghouls be head-shot only is still a dumb idea.
Edge I personally would've given a ton of health but little to no limb health so they get get headshotted/ kneecapped easily
they aren't head-shot only, tho, they just have good health and a crazy headshot modifier
YOU GOTTA SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD LOL
Edge I think in this case it was the mechanics the dust mod was going for. It's much harder to headshot so it makes you more nervous going into combat.

There is no reason to unsubscribe. While I agree that some seasons are better than others (of course it's purely subjective). very importantly, you will probably want the tunneler detection fix! Tunnelers will seek in on you from miles away, if you try to sneak without it. For some reason the dev bugged the detection of the tunnelers to the point where they will almost always see you *if you sneak* but not if you're just standing normally.

Under a bridge too far Not really I said All His new vegas videos not just this one.
Isn’t project Nevada HIGHLY recommended for this mod? I’m pretty sure it even suggests that you use it in the description
at the very least it would allow him to sprint. I think that alone would double his survival rate.
not sure what description you're reading. PN is only mentioned in the description of the mod under "known bugs and incompatibilities". it does say that only the PN rebalance breaks the game though.
No but there's a list over many other mods that are recommended but not mandatory.
Hmm, that seems fair... Do you recommend some good ones to go with it?
“everything that could go wrong, has go wrong” oof that gave me chills and im even more excited to watch this series years later 😂
Dying of laughter every time he says “five bullets”
I think these "what if" scenarios are so freaking cool. DUST is the king of them in my opinion. I still have yet to play it for myself, but I have watched it a ton and it just gives you a sense of dread. As Zach Hazard of Mikeburnfire said, "This is a realistic portrayal of a post-apocalypse".
I'm very happy to see dust.
Doc Mitchel dressed like a fiend/zion tribal is hilarious
Begin again is the best song in fallout

"I want to roleplay with a bit more character... hmm, now how should I min-max my stats most efficiently?"
Firstly, if you don't mind, I'd like to share some observations on the animal life in the mod. All geckos of the base game were replaced by the tunnelers, and coyotes (maybe wild dogs too) by the nightstalkers
THATS WORST THATS WORST THATS WORST.
Matn, my favorite UA-camr. No drama. Just fucking stellar gameplay. Love ya man keep up the great work
Jon: Walks out of building wearing a tribal helmet, NCR armor and wielding a machete... all of it covered in blood.
Also Jon: "Why is everyone hostile!?"
I literally spit my snack out when you named him Doc Mitchell. I'm laughing so hard!
"The ants are gonna follow me out!"
"..."
"No they're not, good."
"They don't know how to use doors."
I mean Deathclaws can follow you into places
theres a mod called Fallout DUST Tunneler Detection Fix.
the venomous tunneler subtype spots you from way too far away(sometimes beyond draw distance), which this fixes.
