- this DIY video shows you how to replace a windshield washer pump on BMW E46. this will apply to all M54 engine. the problem was when you try to use the windshield sprayer, no fluid will come out.

Thank-you. Your video inspired me to change my pump successfully. I also washed out the tank since it was looking pretty grimy.
Very well explained; you don't have to take the tank out, though - everything can be removed with the tank in place.
The pump is _extremely_ cheap - I ordered the Meyle 100 955 0006.
The part is so cheap and it’s such an easy fix
I liked the multiple tie wraps around the secondary air pump.

Sir, i have a second pump there, as well. The one that you changed and another one at the spot where you are missing it. You see on your video theere is a socket for another pump? In the front of the reservoir. What is that pump for? Its making the process of changing the windshield washer pump much harder. Because i cant take the reservoir out without disconnecting both pumps

What would a garage charge to repair this?
from BMW-only shop (but not dealer), my quote was $155 for the pump + shop's 1 hour labor minimum (so $190 more) + tax! got an aftermarket pump + new BMW grommet strainer for $20 - saved $325, per leaning on Randy's video. thanks Randy!!
