Oh my goodness!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I was ready to sell my machine that I just received at Christmas because I couldn’t find the help I needed until now! Bless your heart. I have subscribed and will be viewing your videos!!!! Oiling the needle plate, where to get bobbins, the needles… all those questions answered in this one video!!! Your video is perfect!!! I’ve been having some difficulty. I am in my sixties, have been embroidering for about 5 years and just added this machine.. I am for the first time, truly looking forward to using it without fear! Thank you!!!! (P.S. I’m sorry for not addressing you by name. Senior moment… lol)
Can you please let me know what kind of pre-wound bobbins you use and where to purchase them and do they sell the bobbins in different colours? Again, your video's are filled with useful hands on information!
Hi Sheila, These are Magna-Glide Bobbins Here's a link to the white bobbins. You can also get them in black www.amazon.com/Magna-Glide-Prewound-Bobbins-White-count/dp/B003P5CPB4/ref=sr_1_2?crid=26AQMH9L11MBG&keywords=fil%2Btec%2Bmagnetic%2Bcore%2Bbobbins%2Bl&qid=1643732349&sprefix=Fil%2Btec%2Caps%2C220&sr=8-2&th=1
I am so thankful I have found your youtube channel. My mom has a PRS100 and I am trying to learn how to use it. My dad was always the one who helped her with this machine however he passed away last September. We are trying to embroidery some hats using the hat attachment. We keep getting the error message to check upper and bobbin thread. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I have cleaned out the bobbin case and bobbin area as you have shown. I have checked the bobbin tension as well as checked the upper thread tension. I am pulling my hair out can you please help?
I'm happy you found me too! I am in the middle of a big embroidery project... embroidering Golf Tee Flags for a Hospice Charity Golf Tournament & I have gotten that message a few times. Once I had to take out the bobbin and put in a new one (I use the magnetic Fil-Tec Pre-wound bobbins). Another time, I had to take off the needle plate by removing the two big screws using the bent screw driver... I was shocked at the amount of thread and lint that was stuck under there! If that fails try the old computer trick... Turn it off and then turn it back on! I hope one of these suggestions helps Thanks for watching
@@JSternDesigns Thank you so much for your help. I was able to fix the problem. I am not exactly sure which one fixed my problem since I did all of them lol. I had watched another one of your videos about the importance of using an embroidery needle over a universal needle. I purchased the needles you suggested in that video. I was able to embroidery 2 hats so far completely with no messages popping up! Thank you, Thank you. I have subscribed to your channel and I am looking forward to learning even more from you.
Thank you for all of your tips. I am having issues with my screen and I'm hoping you can help. I put in a USB, and my screen went black. All the other lights were on, on the machine, but the screen was completely black. Pressing buttons did not help at all. I had to turn the machine off then back on and the screen was fine again. According to the dealer, there could have been some static that caused the issue. So, if this happens in the middle of a project and I have to shut off my machine, how do I get back to where I left off? Is there a button I can push to resume?
My Pleasure! ...I'm pretty sure there is a way to go back to where you were if something happens during an embroidery design... I'll find it and share it in the New Year! Also if you're still having trouble with your USB... I had one more thought... are you using one with a large capacity? If so, try one that is smaller. I had trouble with one of my machines in the past and it was because the USB had too much space. (Now sure if this is your issue, but I thought I would mention it!) Thanks for embroidering along with me!
Hello. I got an error message saying there was a trimming sensor error. I removed the plate and cleaned everything as instructed. The problem today is that my upper thread is all bird nesting. It puts a hole in my fabric and is a mess in the bobbin area. I have cleaned and cleaned it, and it continues to occur. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
If you're getting thread nesting in the bobbin case, it makes me think that there isn't any tension on the thread. Maybe your thread is not properly seated in the tension unit? Let me know if this helps.
I got it solved! New bobbin thread. Different spool if thread, and completely re-threaded the upper thread. Thank goodness it is running at 100% again!! Thank you and your subscribers for all advice in this post!!
Oh no!! Besides needing to get a repairman to look at it... Check to make sure you've got it plugged into a wall outlet (not a surge protector)... and make sure it's pulled in all the way on the machine end too. The instruction manual recommends not using a surge protector. I hope this helps you!!
The Brother Persona PRS 100 reads .pes (brother format) & .dst (Tajima Data File) .dst does not include color information, so the PRS 100 will automatically assign colors to your designs.
Sorry about that... some suggestions: If you're winding your bobbin manually, make sure it's winding properl. Then make sure you're putting it in the bobbin case so that it's spinning clockwise when you pull the thread. If you're using a pre-wound bobbins, are you using Fil-Tec with the little magnet on the core of the bobbin? I have found these to be really reliable... Here's an Amazon Affiliate Link to check those out. (I have no bobbin problems when I'm using them!) amzn.to/3Rr7kFn
Thank you! The tip about the frame size error saved me a late night meltdown at the end of a Christmas shirt!
I'm so happy to hear that I prevented a meltdown!! Thanks for embroidering along with me!

My fairly new Brother PSR 100 will not come on when I try to turn it on.

can you advise on the formats compatible with Brother Persona PRS100?
The Brother Persona PRS 100 reads .pes (brother format) & .dst (Tajima Data File) .dst does not include color information, so the PRS 100 will automatically assign colors to your designs.

I keep getting an error that says “return the bobbin case to its original position” any idea what that’s about??
