Thank you SO much! I am a professional longarm quilter and I do educational videos. I am brand new, though, to embroidery. Bought a 6-needle free arm 3 weeks ago and have been scared to use it. Have been desperately searching UA-cam for someone who follows a logical sequence, gives helpful information, is professional without being overly so and only giving selling info. Wanted someone in the embroidery field just like you. I am so happy I FINALLY came across your video. Will continue to follow. Going to go try out that new machine now.
Great tutorial. I have been embroidering since 1993. I always buy Brother machines. I now have a brother Quattro and love it. It is about 14 yrs. old. I am not planning on getting another machine. I am 80 and the learning curve on new machines is a bit much for me. I really enjoyed your video. I just subscribed and look forward to many more videos. Thank you.
So glad I found your channel. I just bought my PRS100 today and your channel has so much useful information for me. I have never had an embroidery machine so I’m a 100% newbie. Please keep the videos coming!
Thank you so much, kittenz, love your videos and your personality, please post videos more often, I’d love to see more videos about digitizing, I bought an embroidery machine for bag making,.
Oh awesome! Yeah I do plan on covering digitizing basics. I'm still learning digitizing myself, so right now it seems a little disingenuous to sound like an "expert" but I can definitely show the ropes of basic embroidery digitization!
Awesome!!! Admittedly, I had this single needle for maybe 2-3 months then I upgraded to the 10-needle. I have very little patience for changing threads. Absolutely nothing wrong with this machine, I'm just LAZY.
Thanks for the great video. I have a little 4 inch hoop brother and would love to one day upgrade. If you could give more info on your machine in one of your future videos that would be fab 🧡
@@fiercekittenz haha no worries, the review was great. Loved it and you had funny moments which is really great. BTW, what made you decide to get rid of the PRS-100, other than it being single needle? Was it slowing you down or was it having issues?
Oh lord no! The 100 was great! What did me in was someone ordering 5 beanies with the same design and trying to get stuff done but instead having to swap the thread colors out.
@@fiercekittenz ahh yeah, make sense. Unlike the 10 needle, you can run multi colors all at the same time and no need for switching threads every time. 👍
What bobbin thread did you use in your brother prs100? We’re getting into it and keep ripping the bobbin thread which is weird. Brother recommends 90w which seems thin.
I've just been using pre-wound Magna-Glide by Filtec, size M. It's just 60w. 90 would be WAY too thin IMHO. Here's a link to AllStitch, where I usually buy the Filtec: allstitch.com/products/filtec-magnaglide-bobbins-style-m-white-1250?_pos=2&_sid=e407c1b9f&_ss=r
Is there a difference in the look or quality of the embroidery done on a sewing machine/embroidery machine vs the higher end stand alone embroidery machine?
I can tell a difference, but mostly because I feel the tension is more accurate and consistent with the dedicated embroidery machine. A lot of the sewing/embroidery combo machines do automatic tension whereas this one is all manual with dials.

I appreciate you so much. I learned a lot from you: bags, embroidery, interfacing. Making a video is hard! Thank you for helping us!
I have a Brother PE770 and am considering a multi-needle. Thank you so much for this great video. I’m looking forward to more embroidery content.

I am very interested in the digitizing videos too. I plan on doing custom sports hats so digitizing will be a must for me.
Good breakdown of what we need to get started. Appreciate it. Looking forward to you doing more of them.
I just got the Persona yesterday!! Look forward to learning from you :)

I just bought a Janine skyline multifunctional machine. I felt this. Aching will be a good introduction to embroidery and quilting.😁
Great video. Thank you ☺️
New Subbie. I’m now researching what embroidery machine I want. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you!
I use new brothread for embroidery thread, they're also very good. No thread breaks on my machine.
You know the funny thing is I caved and bought the PR1055X so this video is already outdated in terms of what machine I have LOL!

Thank you!! great video and information! Greetings from Mexico :D
This information was on point.
Hello! I have this machine! Is it possible to do the side of hats with this machine?
If you get an off-brand hoop that lets you flatten the hat, yes.

@@fiercekittenz thank you. Brother actually says use 90w and I’ve been having issues. What a pain. Thank.
