@@RobotsAreRed :) Wanted to make some shortcuts for myself because I just got a MATHS and will be coming back to this video to try these all out :) Thank you so much for the video!
Maths continues to be one of my most useful and valuable modules, but it does require that you go deeper in your understanding of voltage controlled modular synthesis in order to get the most out of it. Your video is very helpful in this regard.
I’ve just ordered a Maths so I’m devouring every bit of information I can find and this video of yours is gonna prove to be priceless! Thanks man and a new sub for thee here 👍
Awesome, then mission accomplished for me! I felt they were good patches that help to understand the module better rather than just something that "sounds cool" and you don't know why/how.
Great video. Thank you! One thing bothers me. In the Low Pass Gate section - there is basically no low pass effect there (like filtering the high tones)? Maths only attenuates the sound. Or am I missing something?
2:55 I have a Pam's, Maths, & a Squid. How are you sending that trigger at the top left? I got your method to work but I'm confused on what kind of CV is going into that trigger.
Nicely done. Focused, clear, good voiceover mix. I do feel, depending on long term plans/budget, Frap Tools Falistri also merits serious consideration for anyone looking at Maths. (I am not among those who feel one simply MUST have Pams and Maths) Same for Joranalogue Contour 1, Select 2, Compare 2 combinations though that path is probably only for those who recognize early just how much eurorack really will be extracting from their wallet...
"recognize early..." hehe. Yeah, joranalogue gear is not the bargain bin. Fortunately, you can decide to empty your bank account even after years of prudence.
People say maths is too big, and the reply is, "but it can do so many things!" What i just realized is that for the most part, often it's not doing all of that at once, so it feels "too big". Maybe if you don't use the variety, it is too big for you.
This is great! Thanks! I noticed a few of these aren't in the Maths illustrated guide. Any chance you could share a pdf of your internal routing diagrams/patch notes?
Thanks! I tried to make sure I covered things not in their illustrated guide. Yeah I can probably do that for you. In the meantime, if you quickly wanted them you can screen shot each of the patching diagrams from the video. But yeah a PDF would be great, then I can continually add onto it in different versions as I add more Maths patch tip videos.
@@RobotsAreRed sure thing. Thanks! Maths is the gift that keeps giving. Burst generator seems sorta obvious but I've certainly never tried that or seen it diagrammed before.
This is one of the best Maths videos on UA-cam. Many thanks for this 🙏
Thanks so much! I still need to do video #2 for Maths.
@@RobotsAreRed Please do! I'll keep an eye out for that
1:42 Bipolar LFO; 2:55 Burst Generator; 5:04 Tremolo; 06:38 Low Pass Gate; 8:37 Dynamic Slew; 10:48 Sequence Offset; 12:53 Some Music
Thanks for that!

I have one of these on its way (I agonised for months, then found a good s/h deal), and this is one of the better demos I’ve seen. Cut-out-and-keep!
Thanks so much!
i liked the song a lot
Thanks!
this is great! youve been hard done by the algorithm i feel, this should be one of the top vids that come up searching about maths
This is the best Maths video I've seen. Many thanks Robo Rojo. Instant subscriber.

Excellent video, thank you... I thought I had seen them all, but this one was still giving me some new ideas...

Great instruction with some important global maths concepts.
Thanks!
Amazing maths video man! Now I need a second maths!
very informative video. also nicely edited ! makes all the difference for a nice clean cut video !
Thanks!
This is really helpful! Thanks a lot!
Some good tips in here. Thanks!
Thanks!

It does filter out the high tones, there is just no resonance, so it isn't quite as snappy and liquidy.
@@RobotsAreRed Thanks! my mistake
Excellent video! Thank you so much for the tips
No problem!
Great tips, thank you so much!
Thanks, I'm actually jotting down ideas for Maths patch tips video #2 right now! Next is to test out this multi chord oscillator idea I just had.
@@RobotsAreRed Definitely subbing for that!
Great explaination of usable patches, have you done anymore videos on this please?
Not yet, I definitely intend to though.
This is great, appreciate it!!
You betcha!
2:55 I have a Pam's, Maths, & a Squid. How are you sending that trigger at the top left? I got your method to work but I'm confused on what kind of CV is going into that trigger.
I believe I just have a manual gate button that is sending a trigger to that input.
what module is that? I might be interested in something like that
@@CamelJam It was my befaco joystick module
Wow thanks very useful tips!

Also Delta V and QARV, which is the one I've ended up with. The main things I miss is end of cycle trigger, and no turning on cycle mode with a gate.

Excellent tutorial ,-
Nice!!!!!! Thanks!
Don't forget the PDF download in the description!

I added a PDF link for the patches shown in this video into the video description. Cheers!
@@RobotsAreRed rock and roll!!!
Oh the low pass gate! Of course slew rate limiting is filtering high frequenties
Great.
