Mr. Wavey by Blue Lantern Modules
What is Mr. Wavey? Well, the boring answer is Mr. Wavey is a 12hp oscillator follower. The fun answer is that Mr. Wavey takes a boring triangle and pulse oscillator and turns it into a waveform powerhouse. With 12 waveforms spanning from the basics like Sine and Pulse, to subs and double ramps, to blended or sequential unique waveforms. Or control Mr. Wavey with 2 separate oscillators for some even more unique morphing waveforms. Or slow things down and use it as a more unique and weird LFO.

      Love Qu-Bit, I wasn't giving Mojave the attention it deserved though. I feel like I'm just scratching the surface on it. I wanted it initially to be another Beads, but it just isn't, it has a different soul to it. So I'm working my way through it to really figure it out. Up next will probably be guitar effects with Mojave, as you can hear all those cool flanging chorusy effects going on.

    HI! Thank you for the amazing demo. I have a few questions about the Mingles module.💯💯💯💯 Are the six inputs dedicated to audio signals only, or can they also handle CV signals (such as LFOs)? Is it correct to understand that the VCAs in channels 1 and 2 can be used to control both volume and the movement of LFOs? I would appreciate it if you could provide more details. Thank you! 🙏

    • @RobotsAreRed
      @RobotsAreRed Місяць тому

      Hi there! The inputs are AC coupled, so they unfortunately only work with Audio. The VCA inputs control the volume while the CV input controls the Panning, which breaks the LFO connection. There is also the LFO rate input to control the speed/movement of the LFO.

    • @harmonicofsilence
      @harmonicofsilence Місяць тому

      @@RobotsAreRed In the latter part of the Braintree56 channel, there is an explanation about connecting the outputs of two different LFOs to the left and right of the six inputs, respectively, and connecting the center stereo output to an oscilloscope to observe the waveform mixing. According to this person's explanation, it is said that audio signals or CV signals can also be processed. What do you think about this fact? In any case, I am currently very pleased with using it. For now, I am using it as an audio signal mixer, but I am excited about the potential for further possibilities.🥳

    This demonstration was great thanks brother; I’m sold and definitely going to get both these modules (plus a DDK or two) - these blue lantern pieces are always awesome! ✌🏽

    2:55 I have a Pam's, Maths, & a Squid. How are you sending that trigger at the top left? I got your method to work but I'm confused on what kind of CV is going into that trigger.

      I believe I just have a manual gate button that is sending a trigger to that input.

    This module rules so hard. Absorbed your great demonstration then immediately added Sinus Lab to my planned system in Modulargrid as my dedicated wave folder. That near auto-inclusion never happens. Thanks for this. Dannysound Timbre is attractive itself, but BLM's... feels better?

    This thing is rad - neat tech. Pulse fanatics unite. PWM kicked up a few notches. Watching the pulse waves dance and bounce via oscilloscope was amusing. On rare occasions - such as this one - I do miss smoking weed.

    I’m looking at Mingles and Aikido. I know they each have unique functionality but I see some overlap as well and wondering if you have any thoughts about them and if it would be redundant to have them both

    • @RobotsAreRed
      @RobotsAreRed 4 місяці тому

      Oh they seem very different from what I can see on Aikido. I have two mingles in my main rack at the moment and I usually end up using both of them for different uses. My go-to use is to take an already stereo signal and stereo-ize it even more.

    This signal degradation is so nice it’s kind of a pity you can only hear the signal with the chirpies. It seems like the choral vco got broken up a lot more than triangle from maths like to the point you almost couldn’t hear it was there a difference between the signals?

    • @RobotsAreRed
      @RobotsAreRed 4 місяці тому

      There are trimmers on the back to reduce the amount of chirpiness so in theory you could turn them all down quite a bit to get less chirpy degredation.

      It can be a worry for sure. It's why I now plug everything into the tidbit before plugging the tidbit in. There are also floating tidbits now so you don't have that issue.

      @@grief1 Haha totally. I have probably used the ones you can set and forget the most. The attenuators are really fantastic for dialing in LFOs without having to constantly patch over to my attenuator module. I do also try to patch it into whichever of the two modules I am less likely to bump into as well.
