This is fantastic Lori. I will use this as a tool box safety talk in the near future. Thanks so much for all you do to help rid the world of injury and pain!
Thanks for the informative video. I am a carpenter and wear a 15 lb toolbelt setup everyday. What is your opinion on wearing suspenders to help distribute the weight to the shoulders. Some think that the hips and thighs should be carrying all the weight in order to allow for be bending and not to compress the spine. And others certainly think that it should be distributed between the hips and the shoulders. I wear suspenders with my toolbelt in order to lessen the pain and strain on the hips.I am interested in your professional opinion. Thank you..
I like suspenders for those who don’t have shoulder problems. Even better, have you seen @diamondbacktoolbelts vests and vest systems? I think they are brilliant for better body health.
Thanks for the video it helped me understand what is going on. I started a job about a month and a half ago where I have to wear a tool belt and it’s giving me really bad lower back pain especially after a couple days of wearing it in a week. I’m going to see what I can do to try to balance the weight on it and see if that helps me at all. I really need to find some sort of solution for this so hopefully that will help
I work in construction and I always see guys carrying more tools than they should!!! When I have my nailgun on my right side I will literally put all of the other stuff on my left to adjust the weight balance
I wore suspenders this winter with my tool belt because of the bulky winer clothes and I notice that my one shoulder is way higher than the other one, so I got rid of those quick and made myself tool holders to distribute the weight more evenly

smart move! eventually, you'd think they would want to lighten up on the tools, but efficiency rules until you have pain...or get educated first!
