  • I’ve started using this SIMPLE Downswing Drill ALL The Time and it ACTUALLY WORKS!!
    If you are trying to rotate in the downswing then you need to STOP! One of the most common issues I see is golfers don't prioritise the correct downswing movements.YOU need to have more emphasis on your hands in the downswing as the EUREKA move with your hands
    In todays video I'm going to show you as a TOP 50 world coach exactly how to move on the downswing and use your rms and body to create more speed and power! This move works for IRONS and driver so you will see huge benefits in your golf swing

    It’s great Alex mentions mobility and flexibility and the fact that desk jobs hinder ours. Really important to stay fit!

    We need more instructors talking about the lowering of the arms first. Chris Ryan has some awesome content on this as well!

    Glad this is the first tip before I’ve golfed this year. I don’t need to think of anything else in my swing. Just down and through. Thanks

    I've been trying this for the last week ( not from your vid, but i recently saw something similar somewhere else ) getting some nice strikes , it needs bedding in more but my gut feeling is it will improve my overall game. Watching your vid today has opened the door considerably more with your indepth explanation, actual striking and the finishing position which has nailed it for me. Thanks

    Excellent job Alex in explaining what creates speed in the golf swing! I have been working on the unfolding of the right arm in my downswing, rotating the right forearm and releasing the wrists through impact. What I've accomplished so far is quite promising! Thanks for the help Alex!

    Hi Alex have just finished doing some practice in backyard and was working on both fade and draw shots but without monitor couldn’t get distances I would of gotten as my striking felt like they were coming from middle of my 7i. Just wanted to say thank you for your help and guidance as I have a problem with hitting my irons. I’m hoping I can do this tomorrow morning when I go and play. Again thank you

    This is one of your best videos to date so relevant to me and shades of our lesson. Because the focus is on power there is a leaning that the hips create this but this can lead to errors in strike and back problems. I first learnt that the arms swing and the body rotates in relation to the arms, however recent times there has been more focus on the hips this has made me move more target wards to start downswing and as a result throw the club from the top. I find it very difficult to keep my back to target and drop the arms as my body is still eager to start downswing. It is going to take plenty of practice to get this right but I am determined to do this. Also having the back of the gloved hand facing target at the end of the swing shows that you have hit down on the ball compressed it will improve strike. Once again five stars for you!

    Any tips or drills to help minimize swaying in the swing. Or anyway to prevent lifting the front foot?

    • @Neeper78
      @Neeper78 Місяць тому

      Check out Porzak Golf and how he uses the front leg as a post to rotate around. That will stop you lifting your front foot and swaying.

    Raised posture instead of crowding the "plate" makes one hit it longer and need less "creative movements" if u like ... the taller one stands the longer the arms + club will be for a wider/longer swing/move of the clubhead .... it also helps nature as in = hips will turn earlier for the shoulders to turn more free and lead shoulder to fall naturally under the chin ... doing this gets things flowing.... = Rahm & Finau showing how hard u have to hit it when crowding the plate .... while Nelly Korda showing how "easy" it is ....

    Alex, thanks for your excellent videos. I have a question regarding downswing. From the top do you pull the arms down and through or do you
    just let them fall down? Greetings from sunny Switzerland.

  • @keithhowes5692
    @keithhowes5692 Місяць тому

    I had a tendency to hold the release trying to get shaft lean and avoid “early extension”. My feel at the top of the swing is to throw the club head backwards. Game changing contact for me.

      That green glove will be the next "secret to hitting long shots" video. Just how many videos are needed to hit a the ball. All the "do this, do that, is what confuses a lot of beginners, To much thinking.
