The Hidden Secret To Hitting Your Driver Straight

  • Golfers struggle to hit driver straight because they are unaware of 3 small adjustments they need to make in the golf swing. In this golf video Danny Maude gets straight to the point and explains exactly what you need to do to hit driver straight.
At the start of the golf lesson Danny explains why a traditional style golf set-up actually prevents you from hitting the golf ball straight.
He then gives you a process to follow that will immediately start to straighten up any ball flight. Obviously on a golf course you don't want to be changing too much at once so the 3 golf tips are given in order of importance.
Golf Tip 1 takes the curve away while Golf Tip's 2 and 3 focus on making sure the golf ball set's off online so you hit the centre of the fairway.
Nobody seems to get told this and as a result spend years struggling to hit driver straight. I hope this helps you in your quest to be a better driver of a golf ball,

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On UA-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Danny, I saw this video last night right before I went to bed. Today, I had to get the shaft on my driver replaced, so while the tech was working on it I grabbed a demo driver off the rack and got on the simulator.
My goodness, your tip to tilt the back pocket towards the target has immediately turned my slices into a small draw, with some hooks mixed in. As you said, now it's just about dialing it in.
Out of all the golf channels here on UA-cam, your lessons are the only ones that help me, and you've basically taught me how to golf.
    Bless you sir!

I thought the high and low finish was super interesting and I am going to try that at the range. In one of your other videos you mentioned thinking of a hammer at impact to get to hit up on the ball. Excellent video Danny on hitting the driver straight! I really don't have a slicing problem since my swing is in to out which usually generates straight and draw type shots. What I was interested in this video were your explanation of the "swing circle" and the "draw swing spectrum." This is something that I have been working on in my swing and although it's still a work in progress, I am making advances. Do you have other videos in your library Danny that addresses this subject matter? Always learning from you! Keep up the good work!!!

This video and one hour at the range sorted my slice . Played yesterday and great drives and an intentional draw when needed - amazing , lets see next week 😂!!!

Awesome video! I went to the range with my new driver for the second time and felt lost trying to fix my slice this definitely gives me so much perspective as to reasons why. Putting it back in the stance is something I’m extremely excited to try, and the butt movement will hopefully just round it all out! Thank you!

Another great video Danny. This absolutely works! Driver WAS always my big miss club in the bag, and led to bad holes slicing the ball, sometimes off the planet. Once I understood some physics behind club and ball contact and how the swing produces bad shots, it was a simple fix. Thank again!

Brilliant drill too, actually understanding what causes a certain path is fantastic. I have been closing my hips and shoulders slightly at address recently with ball back, slice eradicated, but as you say, the odd one over did the new right to left path. Having the understanding what tweaks to make is a God send

I rarelly comment on videos, but I got to say that for a beginner golfer like me, your videos are game-changing. Easy to follow, good tips, short and straight to the issue videos, it's refreshing. I began taking lessons to get my license and handicap recently, and my teacher was surprised with what I have already accomplished with my swing only following your instructions. Thank you, keep up the good work.

Ok, I tried it out in my field, since I don’t live near a golf course. Every one-handed shot was either dead straight or a slight draw. Adding my right hand (I’m a lefty) brought back a fade, but there’s definite progress!! Now I have to get my right hand sorted out…. Thank you!

Brilliant Danny, fantastic way to illustrate the swing plane.. not sure if that's how you spell plane in this instance 😊. Just wish you'd have demonstrated this a while back,it seems so fundamental. Thanks again 👍

Once again I appreciate your advice. Need to work on it consciously. Yesterday I was hitting my 3 wood off of the fairway beautifully and great distance without any swing thought at all. Yet the driver was full of slice. Back to the drawing board with your granular advice and visuals. going up to practice now. Where do you do live teaching? I would love to have your direct on the spot eyes and ears and even a bit of pushing through my thick skull. all the best and big thank you.
