      The putting one. switched to TM stripe balls to force myself lining up the short ones. The fact that they are also lovely feeling balls doesn't hurt either.

    Alex Elliott and Danny Maude. I call you both The Dynamic Duo! I've gotten so many tips from the both of you that my game is improving by leaps and bounds. Right now my driving is the weakest part of my game, but thanks to the both of you I'm working on it, and it's getting better. Thanks, gentlemen!

    Great video! I've been really frustrated with my game lately. On the range I hit the ball great, then fall apart on the course. Would really like to see more videos on game management. We spend so much time on drills and technical things in the swing, we forget about actually PLAYING golf. Thanks so much!

      Unfortunately only you can summon the focus required and ability to not "feel pressure" on course! I too struggled with this, after 25 years I've learnt to treat every round like a practice round, laugh at the bad shots and move on, try not to take it too seriously.. there's always next time! Until I did this, I couldn't get my HC lower than 10.. I currently play off 3 and the only difference is I can now laugh it off! Keep up the good work mate and just enjoy your time on course 💯

    Ok it’s a deal. I’ll try to play boring golf to get my consistent best scores. Last year I finally shot 77 on a really good course (par 72) lol I’m 47. So this year I want to stay around 80 or lower. Thank you sir. I’ll try this. Soon as my golf course opens in 1+ months:( ps I’m Canadian:) lol

    Practicing effective course mgmt, in and of itself, took me from mid 90s to mid 80s consistently. After that, it's keeping the ball in play, sticking more approach shots, and improving the short game to break 80

    Play in a local St. Patrick's Day event .. held yesterday .. may playing companions started drinking on the first hole tee box, whiskey provided for purchase by tournament ... I hate to admit, I'm the only non-drinking Irish I know, so I stay sober... during the round only 3 shots of my playing partners were used .. 1 bogie on the day and a half dozen birdies ... I made putts from everywhere and killed my drives without effort.. when we had trouble on some holes, I'd drop a 60 yd pitch to 2 feet.. the question is: How the hell did I do it? That's at least 10 shots below my usual best scores and I have absolutely no idea what I did differently. Only the results were changed, everything else felt exactly the same as usual; Nerves and everything. Should I just thank St. Pat and go on?

    Great video my course management is very good, however because I always go for the middle of the green I very rarely go in any bunkers. However playing foursomes this is where the wheels come off if my partner puts me in a bunker I very seldom get out. The bunkers at my course are reverted faces and very steep. Please could you do a video on getting out of bunkers. I really really hate bunkers!

    Short putts killing my game. Is the speed supposed to still be 12-18 inches past the cup?

  • @leonardhandzlik6008
    @leonardhandzlik6008 2 місяці тому

    One thing I need answered. When putting, you say to line up where you want your ball to start with the line on the ball. Then line up the line on your putter with that line. However, what if your eye line isn't directly over the ball. Some people put with their eye line inside the ball. Do you recommend ALWAYS having your eye line directly over the ball? Because, if your eye line is inside the ball, the line on your ball should point at the target, but be inside the middle of the ball. Sort of like lining up the ball line for a drive. Or, am I over thinking it?

    • @obijuanperoni
      @obijuanperoni 2 місяці тому

      Just get your eyes over the ball like almost every lesson teaches you

    • @leonardhandzlik6008
      @leonardhandzlik6008 2 місяці тому

      Thank you so much for the expert instruction, and the completely condescending method of delivery. But then, I was asking Alex, not you. So, there's that.

    • @leonardhandzlik6008
      @leonardhandzlik6008 2 місяці тому

      @@obijuanperoniHow about this from top pga coach Scott Foley.
      "You might have been told that when you putt, your eyes should be over the ball But if you set up that way, your perception of the putting line can get distorted. When you lean over a ball and turn your head toward the hole, your eyes trick you into thinking the cup is left of its true position. This visual distortion can make you pull the putt.
      Instead of positioning your eyes directly over the ball, do what most pros do and set them several inches to the inside. This is especially important over those short putts where you can't afford to be off line by more than an inch or so. Try setting up this way, and see if it doesn't get you sinking more must-make putts.
      So, there's that.

    • @AlexElliottGolf
      @AlexElliottGolf  2 місяці тому

      It’s a good point to be honest, yes just use the line on your ball and have your eyes over it if you can, just line up as close as you can, it’s not as easy as that i know
