FYI: These tomatoes will be used for sauces and put in strews etc. They won't be able to use for slices and add in salads.

They will still have amazing flavour! I love fresh garden tomatoes. Way better than the grocery store got house ones.
Thanks I was wondering what you use them for.
I learned if you put X cut on the bottom of the tomatoes 🍅 it’s easier to peel when cooking..Please tell me how to get the skin off with no X on the bottom I need to know I did what you did!! Froze first then learned 🤷🏼♀️
They're extra good if you roast them before freezing
@@Sheywh12 the skins come right off after you freeze them. No X cut needed.
If you don’t have a food saver, use a ziploc bag, fill it with your vegetable or meat, etc. and then fill your sink or a large bowl full of water and submerge the bag into the water up to the very top and then seal it! Air tight trick!!!
Brilliant. Never would have thought of that. I’ve been sucking the air out with a straw.
🗣Do a lil video! I assume the water will not enter the bag?
I honestly thought this was something I did to be cheap but so glad others out there think alike. :)
THANK YOU ,,, you are so Wise.....great idea...🐈🐈🐈.
Can you do example in another video. Not sure I understand how it works.
I love 💕 the way you take care your family!
I'm mexicana; I will give you a easy way to remove seeds from jalapeños; cut off a half way and then use an small spoon and remove the seeds.
Easy way!!!
I do this before cold season. I buy any veggies I use in soups during the winter. Dice them up, freeze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in ziplock bags. So in the winter I can fix up soups without running to the store for whichever veggies I ran out of. I freeze my jalapeños whole and just dice them as i use them. But haven't done corn on the cob! Fantastic idea.
"No, I'm talking to my friends" 😂😂😂 so funny and natural 😊
I'm so glad someone else thought that funny! I thought that was my que to go to bed
@@tifanymack4587 it made me giggle so much lol
I am definitely going to try the corn! Thank you for all the tips on freezing veggies! ❤️
I love freezing and preserving fruits and veg! I got lots of beans this summer which I blanched and froze. Corn on the cob sounds like a great idea!
This was so helpful! You have taught me several new things. Thank you for doing the research, and for sharing your knowledge.
Kimmy , I appreciate your videos. I like seeing “real” videos, of “real” moms that are sometimes just winging it. I always enjoy your UA-cam channel. ❤️😘
I tell ya, I think you’re a genius! I learn so much from you. Thank you for being such a great teacher.
I really appreciate these freezing tips, thank you 😊
Last year when I bought a bunch of sweet corn to freeze I cooked it in the oven and it turned out so good.
I just love you to pieces. Thanks for your creative content. What great freezer ideas and a beautiful smile. Warm and cheerful and hopeful during these turbulent times. Thanks again
Watching this while chopping up tomatoes and peppers and onions from my garden! Canning salsa today. 😋
I wish I had room to do this. Like you said, there is no comparison to fresh picked veggies and fruits. Love them!
Those tomatoes are gorgeous! This was a very useful video. Easy freezing of vegies. Thanks!!
Good morning ☀️ thank you for the great videos, keep up the good work!!
I just got one of those food choppers and I am loving it
Your local farmers market sounds amazing! Thanks for the tips to save the produce ❤️ I heard you on the Erika Veiera channel yesterday, so great! I love seeing your huge success!
Thank you for showing us how to freeze food I love your videos stay blessed
So glad you showed me how to do this!
Excellent video. We never froze veggies, but did can tons of fruits & veggies during the summer. During the wicked winters of Michigan, we really enjoyed the canned veggies & fruits.
Loved the idea Kimmy, I must invest in another freezer. xx
I’m absolutely loving these videos!!! 🧡
Great idea to use the food saver to help freeze farm stand vegetables and butternut squash. 🍅 🌽
I am going to the farm stand today!!! I love the idea of fresh corn in the winter!!
I froze my tomatoes as I got them out of my garden and they peeled so easy when I was ready to make juice and sauce to can. I cut the corn off my cob for most of them and just put them in freezer bags-no blanching either and they were great! I didn’t think about freezing the butternut squash I have. I’m going to do that today because I don’t want it to go bad.
Using a spoon to scoop out the jalapeno ribs and seeds is so much faster and easier. You have some beautiful fresh produce!
Such great ideas! My cook thinks so too. (Love that Man) We will be doing these suggestions.
Thank you 😊❣️
The local farmers market only set up like twice this year. Maaaaaaybe next year. I’m looking forward to it! Great video!
Brilliant idea to use your food chopper to do the jalapenos. I have one of those and I never even thought to use it for the peppers and I make salsa all the time.. thank you!
Yeeesss!!! FRESH IS BEST! I grew up in the country and the food we ate growing up was waaaayyyy tastier than the food we have in stores now 🤷🏾♀️ Thanks for all the tips 👍🏾 definitely got to invest in a food saver 😉😉😉
Great video has always ❤❤ Sometimes people forget how they put up food back in the old days. Now people want to follow guidelines what not.
This a great idea thank you Kimmy🎃
Great tips ! I will use the corn and squash tip soon!
Thank you for this video 🥰🥰🥰🥰 love your videos and meals you share
Omg....I love that tea cup apron!
Morning Kimmy! Oh that Food Saver is awesome!!! Love seeing it take all the air out ☺️. One of these days I’ll have to get one 😊. You can’t beat fresh vegetables from a farmer’s market 👍🏻. Lol, one thing you forgot to mention in the podcast interview was, what an awesome personality you have, and that’s one of the reasons people love your channel 😉. Along with all the other things you do and put into your channel, you yourself are awesome and everyone sees that 😉👍🏻. Love you and have a fantastic day!!!!! ❤️😘
Donna you are always the sweetest! Thank you so much.
Hey Kimmy, just wanted to give you a tip for cleaning the peppers. Use the tip of a small spoon (like one used for cereal) and it will make it a LOT easier to clean. I like to start at the tip and just scrape down the vein and scoop it out with the seeds. Love your videos, thanks for all the wonderful content.
I had a small harvest from my apartments community garden and a HUGE produce donation from a special program called "Food for All" here in WA state. I am the ONLY person in my apartment complex that EVER comes to get the produce when the donations come in. I have been water bath canning and pressure canning for 3 days straight. My freezers are FULL..Thank you for all that you share through your channel with so many people. It is such a joy to have what I call an "Apron Marathon" and binge listen/watch your vids both old and new while I am doing all this hard work.
This vid came right on time! Thanks for your tips ♥️
Perfect!
I had no idea you could freeze vegetables!!! I completely agree with you about tomatoes -- there's nothing like the taste of garden tomatoes or strawberries! Thank you so much for this informative video.
So exciting. Can't wait to do some 🌽 corn! Thanks
Great tips. Thanks for sharing. We buy the jalapenos in a can. Have a blessed day Kimmy and Fam💗
you're a life saver, thank you so much
We love the forged and fire knife 🙂 seriously the best knives
Awesome video Kimmy!!! Ive been doing the same with fresh veggies. I found an amazing recipe on recipe for corn in the instant pot. Its a family favorite.
6-8 Ears of corn, peeled, cut in half
4 cups water
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 Tbsp. Butter
Place trivet in the pot
Add all ingredients. Set to seal.
Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes. Then a quick release.
Honestly I have not a clue how to freeze vegetables. I have to learn from all of you. I'm just the student here.
I am new at this and yesterday I was thinking maybe I can freeze the vegetables because they are being wasted..I just can’t eat them fast enough
I love frezing the peppers and use them in salads, taco meat i cook, and my Ground turkey southwest Chipole meat i cook, i also freeze the bell peppers and oniions and through them in my Ground turkey mixture . Hot peppers i put in so many things, meat loaf, burgers, either ground beef or Ground Turkey. Thank you for validating freezing veggies, i love them so much. i do not have anything to take air out of baggies so i use freex=zer bags for them.
Love your videos Kimmie . Your such a trail blazer . I use jalapeños for green chili verde , salsa, add it to a roast and just love the kick it can give your recipes . 🙋🏻♀️🥰🏡
We love jalapeños and home grown ones are so much spicer than the ones in our stores. One of our favorite ways to use them is in pinto beans.
Wonderful ideas I must try this
Butternut squash makes great soup.
Save the squash seeds! Spread on cookie sheet dot with butter or margarine. Toast at 350 degrees for about10 to 20 minutes. Actually this for pumpkin seeds, but squash seeds work. It makes a great snack. Love your channel. Thinking of starting my own.
I just like watching you get excited about food. 🍅🌽🌶
New subscriber here. Im learning so much. Thank you for showing us all of this. You're amazing!
Thank you Tonia! I’m so glad you’re here!

Thank you. . . . . I stopped blanching years ago I love corn it tastes so crisp and yummy Everything has always turned out wonderful Crisp and with vibrant color and flavor I have a large garden and freeze a variety of veggies Thank you Thank you Thank you
I have always chopped my tomatoes! Will have to try freezing them whole! And now I want to get more corn on the cob! I cut it all off and then freeze, but corn on the cob in winter sounds really good!
Wow it's looks so good! It's like what you'd get from a store, only better. I'm in rural Pennsylvania. I need to find me a roadside veggie stand!💜
Great video!! Thank you for sharing

Enjoyed this freezer video
I didn't even know you could freeze tomatoes. Thanks for the tip
I just did SO many veggies pretty much the same way. With zip lock bags thank you for sharing
Wonderful!
Loved this video lots of good info
I Love these videos where you show all your tips and tricks. I started freezing my vegetables last year, more out of convenience than anything else. I buy huge bags of onions and garlics, peppers, potatoes, celery, carrots, etc at Costco or Sam’s and then I spend a whole day washing chopping, bagging and freezing them. It makes my life so much easier when cooking because then I don’t have to spend time chopping veggies for my meals, I just pull them out of the freezer and defrost them with my meats and then I am good to go!! I am going to try your corn method and I am going to invest in a food saver this weekend. Thanks Kimmie!!
Would you freeze onions and potatoes the same as squash? I love these ideas, I just may have to buy an apt size freezer 🤔😉
@@suziekottke7673 yes mam
How do the potatoes not get brown ? Or do you leave in the skin
Simply Raising Arrows I freeze them cut up in any shape I will use later like diced sliced. That’s the potatoe. Either skin on or off. Onion I just dice and freeze. The potatoes I use in many dishes by browning them in the oven . And use them in those rescipes. Onions I pan fry off the liquid or throw in oven as well to use in dishes!
Simply Raising Arrows I for got . I cook the potatoes first. I boil them just to a soft point .
I would love to see another video like this with different vegetables
I need that apron! So so cute!
For a really tasty fall medley I like doing beets, carrot & butternut or acorn squash with salt, pepper and olive oil in the oven until caramelized. It also goes really well with brussel sprouts added
Sounds Marvelous
I need another freezer just for the vegetables, sounds good
Thank you very much for your new joint from Algeria
Awesome video friend , i love watching roots and refuge farm here on UA-cam she is awesome shr teaches about gardening .
Try a spoon when you clean out your jalopenos. Faster and gets out the vein and seeds in one to two quick swipes. I love your channel. Real life and great recipes/ideas ♥️♥️♥️
I have saved so much money with my Food Saver!
Tomatoes corn looks really good to freeze
Thanks for sharing 💕🌸greetings here from Denmark 🇩🇰
They're called butternut pumpkins here in Australia. I love them mashed with potatoes. Cook them with your potatoes and just mash as usual. So, SO yummy!
The spaghetti squash can last for 6months! We planted some this yr for the first time and we have been enjoying them since June
I just cut the corn off the cob n vacuum seal it. Takes less space 💗
I did a lot of canning this year! I’m planning on buying a freeze dryer so I can’t wait to play around making meals. with that. I don’t have a food saver but I think I may need to invest in one!
I know what you mean by the taste is so much different from the farmers markets! When we moved to North Dakota there was a local farmers market by our house every weekend that alot of people went to... & the CORN and tomatoes... WOW. I was literally blown away and enjoying it so much. It was almost like I was eating them for the first time ever
Great tips!
Always inspiring
When your de-seeding your jalapenos use a teaspoon to scrape the seeds and membrane out, much easier then using your fingertips. Thank you for this video I had no idea you could freeze whole tomatoes like that.
Wow looking great
My mind is blown.... you can freeze tomatoes 🍅 🤯... would love to see a video or IG story of the food saver.
Great video love wacthin your videos you got everything sorted wish l was like that im a mess not bin well and got really bad anxiety but love wacthin your video xx
I can wait till we see you do the rice video. I also didn't know you could put tomatoes in the freezer. Thank you for making these videos.
Girl 1st of all love you for tying your hair back. My pet peeve. 2nd. Yes I wear a mask when cutting these
I like to add a little bit of milk, butter and sugar to my corn water, it makes it so yummy. I definitely need a food saver.
Great information kimmy😀
Favorite use of Jalapenos...Papas a La Mexicana-Pan fry potato cubes in olive or coconut oil 'til crispy, add cubed onions, tomatoes, jalapenos 'til softened and 2 easy overs on the side with wheat tortillas, salt and pepper to taste, cayenne pepper if it needs a kick. Cup of coffee with hazelnut creamer and water on the side. Then walk the dobie.
I think I just described my Saturday mornings 8)...Thanks for the tips, I learned much. Thanks!
I recently chopped up and diced 12 pounds of onions to freeze. Now I'm set for about 6 months worth of onions love it half hours work for months of food prep
Jalapeños for pico de gallo, chili, blended in stews, guacamole, etc. Is very versatile 👌
Great video Kimmy.I use my freezer a lot to prepare food too. From your Australian friend Foxy.
The squash seeds are yummy toasted. Soak in salt water for awhile so they separate from the stringy flesh. Let them dry and toast them in a pan. Great snack.
