I'm sharing new pantry recipes and how we saved several hundred dollars on last month's grocery budget by shopping our shelves. Also am I a shoplifter? Yes Seriously! Have you ever accidentally shoplifted?
A couple times in my life and felt awful. When I figured it out I went back in and made it right.
Yes. The most recent time I had a greeting card under my purse in the shopping cart and didn't realize until I got out to the car to unload groceries. I got the strangest look from the Walmart "greeter" when I went back in with the card to pay for it.
Erm well when your a kid best place for taking sweets was Woolworths and no am not responsible for them going bust 😇
You are not a shoplifter. You have the case of A.D.D. sometimes I don't focus on ringing up my order something or someone catches my attention and ring it up twice.
I haven't, but 9 month old did. As I was loading the car I realized he had picked up plastic measuring spoons out of a bin next to the cart!

Kimmy, try campbells golden mushroom soup in place of cream of mushroom soup for a giant flavor boost in your Swedish meatballs!

Use leftover mashed potatoes to make some Mexican style taquitos. Put the mashed potatoes into a corn tortilla, roll and fry. Serve with sour cream, avocado, and salsa. So good and it’s cheap to make.

I have learned from you on freezing the bread ..never grew up with frozen bread .,my husband has ..but it works out great .. neither I go to the discount store and buy them or there is another store that’s related to H-E-B called Jovi’s and their loaf of bread is always fresh and always cheap $.88 a loaf

When i go to sams or costco i keep laundry baskets in my car for my items. That way i can load by category and just carry it in easily

I love Sam’s Club for scan and go. I have been accused by some older members of shoplifting and when they go to a cashier to let them know the cashier always has to explain to them that I am not shoplifting I used scan and go.
Oh my gosh! I use scan and go all the time. I'm glad no one has ever said that to me! We have to stop and show our scan and go receipt on the way out.
I love Scan and Go! Literally the only reason I have the plus membership. People look at you so weirdly when you scan it and bag in the cart 🤣

We use my father-in-law‘s bedroom for an extra food storage. There’s the shelves that are on the top of the walls when my boys are still at home will store their tennis shoes up there in the boxes so now Store, whatever toilet paper, paper towels, some of the mason jars Can all kinds of stuff extra soap, dishwashing soap I buy in bulk as well

Tgats why I am nervous to use scan and go. I get distracted and worry I will forget to scan something.
Your pilaf recipe has become a family favorite for us and I have your original recipe in my favorites so I can look back at them when I make it!! Your chicken in a hurry recipe is also one of our favorites too!

Salmon and pilaf are extra 👏 together & Salzburg is another fantastic idea too.
Fish & pilaf are so perfect! I make a recipe called Fish Roll ups (sounds weird, but it's just white fish stuffed with Ritz crumbs, crab, parmesan, parsley, and butter), and it never cooks as thoroughly as it should. Makes a perfect freezer meal though, if cooked with a bunch of other things. It pairs and cooks perfectly on top of pilaf, as a frozen meal😋

O.K. I have a good "shoplifting" story for you! Hubby and I were in Walmart and he was trying on sunglasses. The fire alarm went off!! We rushed out of the store with the sunglasses in my hand!! LOL. The next day I mailed Walmart the $11.00 for the glasses! Hahaha! I couldn't live with myself if I didn't :) xoxo

I make thT sam3 cheeseburger soup but it calls for velveta cheese melts and makes it smooth way better and calls for sour cream try adding sour cream at end makes it soo creamy
I have accidentally walked out of the store and forgot to scan an item, had to turn around, go in and pay for it.

No, it's shepherd pie if you are from the south. With your choice of some cheese on top and melt while toasting the top a bit.

No hate intended in this comment. As a Brit I’m afraid to say that’s not shepherds pie. Shephards pie is made with lamb mince. Cottage pie is made with beef. We wouldn’t use corn, green beans or tomato soup in either recipe. I’m sure it tastes lovely and it’s a good way to use leftovers. But definitely not Shephards pie.

I live in America...what we called up north shepherd's pie isn't even what's down south. I never ever used lamb. I used beef. So, I don't know what version I use to eat actually was....just enjoyed the dinners.

Oh girl, what do you do if you have a meal planed for Sunday, you daughter call and says hey mama we are coming over her her husband and child , what do you do ?
If you don’t have enough of the main dish make it up with sides and bread.
If that is grass fed beef the fat is actually REALLY good for you. ITS NOT GREASE. Keep it in there and reduce other added fats in the dish. Fat=flavor too and you are getting rid of all that flavor.
Keep baby wipes, in a zip loc, in the car for chocolate emergencies. Kinda scary but baby wipes remove most food stains.

Your bread is very cheap. Here in my town in Quebec our cheapest is $2.50 and that is from our dollar store. Thank goodness it is a good bread. Most loaves here are up to $6.
