- The ESD Magwell enhances your reloading with a purpose-driven flare. Every curve, every angle, and every feature on the ESD Magwell is intentional and aligns with our mission to enhance a shooter’s capabilities using human-centered design. Featuring symmetrical side cutouts for stripping magazines, the ESD Magwell allows for easy removal of flush-fitting magazines as well as those that have an extension. Additionally, a third cut-out is located on the front of the ESD Magwell. This third cut-out is especially useful in low light/ no light conditions and serves as a reference point for the shooter and allows them to focus on the task at hand rather than worrying about fumbling a magazine during a reload. It can also be used as an additional access point for stripping magazines.
This product currently fits only Glock double-stack Gen 5 pistols chambered in 9mm and .40. Generation 3 and 4 magwells are in development and will be released at a later time. Glock 19s plug angle is different from full-frame Glocks and requires some modification to work - Спорт

glock 19 grip plug please.
What magazine extension plates work with this? I tried the arredondo glock +3 base pad, but it wouldn’t seat all the way cause of the magwell.

Are magwells for other Glock models and gens still being developed? Haven’t heard anything about them in quite some time.
Believe me, we want them too, but at this time we are not able to drop a release date for older generation magwells. What I can tell you is that we are hard at work and hope to bring them to market soon! Keep your eyes open for posts and videos about it! Thank you for leaving a comment!

What modifications to the 19x have to be made in order for it to fit?
For the ESD Magwell to fit on a Glock19x you would have to remove both the back and front nubs from the frame and shape it until you can slide the magwell on and it fits snuggly. It can be a pretty intensive process with little room for mistakes. If you have your heart set on on making it work we recommend contacting a gunsmith who has a lot of experience working with polymer frames. Thanks for leaving a comment!
As much as it looks badass ill prob just stick to my slr one made for it. But def would love if you made a similar magwell for the new echelon and baseplates your quality is top notch.
What mag extensions work with this?
We don't have an all encompassing list, but in our experience you can use OEM extensions, Taran Tactical extensions, though it will push down the pin and scratch the back of the magwell, and Lander extensions work too. I hope this helps!

Yes, the bottom of the backstrap needs to be trimmed slightly to fit!

When is it restocking?
We have more headed to ano right now! Likely 2-3 weeks for black on our website. Our dealer network should be restocking any day now though as all their orders have been fulfilled for black and FDE!

Does it fit and function with all back strap sizes?
Hi there! The ESD Magwell can be run with a back strap BUT some minor modifications will need to be made to the back strap to allow for both to fit. Namely the clips at the bottom of the backstrap will cause the fitment issue. The short version is the clips on the bottom have to be removed to allow for the two parts to be compatible. If you go through with it please remember to go slowly and work carefully! Keep in mind that Edgar Sherman Design is not responsible for any modifications you make to your property!
