I can relate to why JTH started to make Magwells, too was looking for a Magwell I could use on my Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS with backstraps and all I found were expensive backstraps that only work without the backstrap. I was so glad I found JTH that I immediately ordered 2, 1 with the side cut and 1 without. Just ordered yesterday so can wait to get them. You're a lifesaver JTH.
I just purchased one of these andit is as good if not better than the 70-80 dollar you see around. I previously had one of those that leave a noticeable gap. I purchased this and it fits more snugly no gap you can adjust it as needed also. The owner? Jordan worked on an updated design when I provided feedback and had overall great customer experience 10/10 would recommend
Is the variant with backstraps backwards compatible ? say i don't use backstraps now but i want to later, would i be able to use the second one with and without backstraps if that makes sense ?
Edit: G17/45/47 magwell available on my website Original: I am looking at getting a G45, which has the same grip as the G17 (SLR shows their 17 and 45 magwells are the same too), so it’s coming. It’ll get the same treatment as far as compatibility with the back straps
If you’re using a back strap, the screw is redundant because the back strap holds the plug in place. It’s not going to hurt anything to use it, but it’s also not necessary
@@jth_printed_designs That's what I thought. Full disclosure, I was about to throw it in the junk drawer after it wouldn't fit. Then I looked up my order and remembered that I ordered the one for use with the backstrap, and I had just taken off the backstrap. Got my head out of my backside and did it right. Works and looks great. I then ordered one for my 48.

@@jth_printed_designs LOL! No, it was my fault. I took off the backstrap to try another magwell. That one didn't fit. I ordered yours and forgot to put the backstrap back on. When I wised up, I put everything together and it works fine.

what mag extension or base pads do you recommend for the slick slide w backstraps?
Have you tried to make a Backstrap for the Glock 43X or Glock 48 because they don’t make one anymore
Another thing. Some of the magwells out there are stupidly expensive for what they are. I bought my second one of these today

1.59”. The Glock frame itself is already 1.34” wide

Yes, there would just be a gap left where the blackstrap was.

Mine came with a screw for the plug, but mention of that in this video. Is it required, when using a backstrap?

Does this work with 19's that have the half moon cutout?
I haven't tried it. I'm guessing that it would work but not cover up the cut. The magwell rises 1/4" above the base of the grip.
