Condor has some great inexpensive knives, especially for batoning and splitting wood. I like to carry a Mora 106 for small work and condor bushcraft for batoning.
October 2024… I still carry the Mini Bushlore in my scout bag. It is perfect for most camp tasks like processing fire wood, starting camp fires with a fero rod and of course food preparation. Use it often and I keep it sharp with a touch up on a leather strop. Thank for your recommendation way back in 2021.
Thank you for a fine review. I would be interested in to watching the process of how you assess and refine The edge and the spine of the knife. Thanks so much!
My favourite. Bought way back when use to can weren't silly. Just a beauty! And inexpensive, always there. Hardened the handle with a homemade vacuum. Way back when it was the rage.
I like to use my TBS Boar Mark 2, that is a fine knife! Completely underestimated if you ask me. TBS also has the Lynx Mark 2, that is more the size of this blade. And i always carry my F1 if i‘m in the woods, thats an all time favorite!
I like modern blades that seem all angles, hollowed out bits, obscure metals/metal alloys, crazy finishes/bluing, etc. But here's something appealing about a just plain Jane cutting tool which emphasizes all the modern innovations, while wonderful and welcome, are mostly just adornment. Townsends and Sons. is a company that specializes in 18th century reproduction goods for re-enactors. They have a knife patterned after an 18th century small working man's blade which is even cruder than this. Mr. Townsend himself says the steel used is period correct and I quote: "guaranteed to rust." I love that knife even though I have to keep it oiled to prevent that guarantee. They have a larger kitchen version which is wonderful though looks like a prop from _The Texas Chainsaw Massacre._
This like a Mora is a really good COMPANION knife for a big chopper like a BK9 or my ESSE Junglass, so you can do your fine carving and other detail work.
3 years later 😊 is mini Knife Mini Bushlore 3 new lenght of this little model? Hows is grip on it? Have mora eldris what i like but blade lenght is to short. This knife maybe will do better around camp.. Food etc. Handle on those mini knifes must be pure 4 finger grip in my opinion. You know any light weight with 4 grip with max up to 80 cm blade. Cheers from Sweden. Thx for review.
I have the mini and full size bushlore I just wish they where 1095 instead of 1075 I have rolled the edges on the full size buttoning wood. That’s my only complaint about the knife
You're right, the word rustic suits Condor. Something about wood matched with steel that just seems right. People buying Condors have to understand that a computer aided machine isn't making the knife. It's a guy or a gal standing in front of grind wheel shaping and finishing the knife so you WILL have minor imperfections.
I have thick hands and it seems like I would only get maybe 2 1/2 fingers on that handle. I'm not sure about that maybe 3 fingers, but is it manageable with only part of my hand on the handle? I've been looking for a smaller full tang quality knife, I just think that handle might be too small for me.
As a woman i have learned alot watching your video's. I prep but not as much as sonenpeopke. But everyweek i always buy extra of different items. People think i am crazy. Not me. I have a request of you. I know you talk some of this at times but could you do a video on things that a woman can use for survival and things that would be helpful for us? I buy extra food and personal items each week. Even if its $20.00 worth. My items are adding up. Thanks again for your time. I dont use a gun.
A fixed blade knife is the correct answer to any bush, camping, outdoor work that takes more than five minutes, unless you want to wear holes in your hands.
It looks like you put a secondary bevel on that by accident. You can get scandy blades insanely sharp really easy but you need to use a specific method. Get a block of wood and glue some rough leather on both sides and put a handle on the end whilst your at it. Then put rough polishing compound on one side and high gloss compound on the other. Then just hold the bevel of the knife FLAT against the leather and stroke it back and fourth. Once you've done both sides on rough do it on the high gloss. You will get a GLASS polish and it will be sharper than a razor. No skill required. Also if you want to you can use the gloss side to mirror polish the whole blade and the handle too.
The Mora Robust has a larger, grippier, and safer handle with a good finger guard also, plus the knife and sheath are probably 1/3 the weight. People say the Mora is not full tang which is true but check out the destruction tests on UA-cam, it just doesn't break out of the handle.
Never had any problems with a condor blade. I’m nobody but I’d recommend them.
Please do not say that about yourself. Everyone brings something to the table. Rock on.
Big fan I'm in Staten Island New York we would love to see you make more urban survival videos thank you and everyone stay safe!
You should check out the Urban Prepper.
Had this knife for 2 years. Carry it everyday as part of my edc. Love it
Love my mini Bushlore. It’s a great EDC knife…

Love the videos, I've been watching your channels since around 2013 or 2014. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Dayton! I appreciate it

I really enjoy my full size Bushlore! Great knife and quality for the money. I like all of their other knife products as well.
Love these videos!
Thanks Mitchell!
At least it’s not another flashlight, my uncle was a knife maker here in Arkansas ( Jimmy Lile) the Rambo First Blood knife guy.
This looks awesome

Love the mini, as I do the Bushlore and the Wayfinder. :)
Thanks
Would you do a video for a bugout bag for guys or gals of the bigger stature?
Definitely an awesome looking knife. Sweet.
Good knife, great video as always. 👍
thank you for the knife video sootchoo!!! i am a knife fan!!
Thanks for this great review.
That looks super nice.
I have a bushlore blank I bought and put my own scales on, and it is nice...but I may have to pick up one of these.

i bought one , a parang , and the utzi man .they make great knives for not a lot of money.
I wish they made mini bushlore blanks so you could do your own handles I did one on a normal Bushlore blank a few years ago.
So where can I order one ? Think my son would love one for his bday

Got the full size bush lore best fixed blade ever. Most folks think its homemade
Your saying at the end would go good on a patch.
A horizontal carry sheath would be nice
This knife is great in Combo with the condor moonshiner
The Moonshiner is a awesome blade!
I have the mini and full size bushlore I just wish they where 1095 instead of 1075 I have rolled the edges on the full size buttoning wood. That’s my only complaint about the knife
The 1075 edge rolls so easy. 1095 would be great.
Scotch with that 3.5 inch blade it is legal everywhere.
It looks good should it be pertinent?smpkymountan knife works is an all day excursion.
One disadvantage of 1075 carbon: Rust. You will need to ensure that it is well oiled/maintained to prevent corrosion.

I love condors designs but im not a fan of their heat treatment. I do own several but they all seem a bit soft for me.
Nothing wrong with that its a good little unit I want one
I the full size bushlore and the edge rolls on about everything. It sharpens up real easy but not a fan of their 1075. Leather sheath is real good.
Were is it made at??
Do the Spyderco Zoomer please!!!

Second and that's a nice knife

Thanks Janet. That would be a good subject for a video. I'll see what I can do.
@SensiblePrepper advice works for everyone! I can also recommend @Rogue Preparedness. You'll love her channel.
Have the small an large like both

This knife would be great for smaller hands. Too small for me I think
Bought a Condor knife a couple years back. It arrived as dull as a butter knife. Save your money.
In 1095 I could buy one
Another Matt Graham design from Condor.
$50 for the knife a bit pricey since you can get a mora for way less
You could but, you can't get the same quality.
I think the $15 Mora Robust can do everything this can and probably comes sharper. No Leather sheath, but I prefer Kydex anyway...
@@MI_Prepper exactly

Sorry I only buy American made...
Baby knife,baby knife....hahahahaha
Anything Damascus will be better
I'd rather hear about USA made knives. I don't care about some poor quality charming knife. I challenge this channel to lead in American first.
That's a great size and would fit easily in my smaller Grab and Go Bag. Thanks, @Sootch00.
thanks
