Hi, not sure if already mentioned, but in one of those houses next to the dunes, there are apartments. That’s where laurel and hardy used to stay when they were in Blackpool.
Another great vlog showing the posh side of Blackpool. Any town has two sides to it. I live in Chirley and that definitely has two sides. Well done Stephen.
Love this video, Stephen. You have taken in the stamping ground of my youth, from Lytham Road bridge (the little alley across from Hampton Road was where my grandad had his garage), down to the Highfield Road end where I lived. The house that you pointed out with the Eliott Booth sign has been converted into flats. It is quite important locally, as it was owned by some show business agent, who used to have his acts staying there. Kumara (the house's name) has hosted the likes of Laurel and Hardy, and Bette Davies. The Park View home used to br the BLESMA Home for blind servicemen. I think they used to make poppies there. Thank you so much for this, Stephen. You really have cheered up my evening.
Good on yer Geoff, I don't where you find the energy to keep these vlogs going at the same time as being on your hols, beep beep, thanks for just being you buddy ❤️👍
That big green on lytham road use to be a animal vet for blackpool circuis and a bloke got eat by a lion hence the name albert and lion next to the tower
Thanks for the extensive tour of the leafy parts of Blackpool Stephen. I wonder if merlin will step in and build something on a smaller scale at the central development site.
We lived in one of the terraced houses you passed opposite Hampton Rd You are walking my paper round which in those days had to be done twice a day. The houses in Windermere Rd mainly took the Times, Telegraph or Financial Times. Very interesting Steve. P.s. I remember the trams passing in the front of the house. Behind the house were the steam trains heading every few minutes into Central Station. It was pretty noisy for guests though we were used to it. Thanks Steve
Hi Stephen. Im not one to slag Blackpool off as it has its nice bits. Just a shame there isnt more greenery in the town centre. Interesting video as always. Thank you
Hi Stephen that was an interesting vlog, liking your commentary and information on the area! Trees in Blackpool, lol You certainly covered some ground, some nice houses, but I would find the traffic annoying... Anyway, until the next one, take care
Hi Stephen, Great to see that you are now including the Electric Scooter Brigade in your intro's shouting Blackpool, Blackpool lol. As the saying goes, If you can't beat them, Join them lol. They are appearing in your videos more than the sirens now lol 😂
I've been in the Yeadon pub many times. It was always good food, drinks and the staff were superb. I'm gutted it's gone. Very sad that I won't ever be able to go in again. Didn't you go in with The Macmaster last year?
Can you please visit peel corner? I grew up there in 2 peel road. My Nanna and grandad lived there too. My Auntie Winnie and her husband , Uncle Alec owned the garage on the main road, PROGRESS GARAGE. My Dad worked there and grandad was the pump attendant. Uncle and Auntie also owned( built) the great big house which still stands on the corner of peel road and Whitehall road. Charlie Moore was the local Bobbie and lived at 1 peel road. So many memories. 🙏 please.
Your right Stephen there are good and bad places everywhere. Blackpool is probably more affulant than poor. Some great houses, you did some walking there hope your foot is doing better

The lockers are for sending and receiving parcels. People who use selling platforms such as ebay will use them. Aso can return online orders. They are very useful.

Hello Stephen, i have heard that the width of some roads is due to the space needed to turn a coach with horses around 🤷♂️ depending on how many horses would be hauling the coach and the size of coach going back mid victorian time.
Louie Horrocks Park was a fantastic park years ago. They had tennis courts ,crown green bowling, toilets and an aviary. There was an attendant based there as well. Still a decent park for kids to play.
Great Video Stephen. Although at the beginning of Horncliffe Road, I noticed there is a property with a rather swanky chimney stack - surprised you didn't look up, to this architectural feature....
They are for receiving parcels, yes. You can choose to have them delivered to a secure locker at a location of your choice. That way you don't need to wait in all day for them to deliver directly to you, and you can go and collect it from the locker at a time that is convenient to you. Uncollected parcels are returned to sender after 48rs, if you don't collect them.
Sounds like you had a dafty Bass moment in the Dunes, Years ago Steve when we were younger the old saying was if You drank too much Bass or red wine you could suffer from goat............ how's the foot.🤭😁
Yeah the old building was Arnold junior school . The Senior school building all gone . The corner property for sale may have been part of the schools boarding house divided into boys & girls
Hi Stephen, did my eyes deceive me or am I mistaken. Looking at the car park prices and saw “Motorhomes £12.50 for upto 24 hours” but the car park looked to have yellow height barriers?
