We did the same route last Sunday starting at Starr Gate to Fleetwood. I love how the tram curves in places.
Fleetwood was nice and quiet and we hopped on the ferry to Knott's End.
I miss the old trams, the hiss of the trolley wheel on the wire and ths rattle of the bogies. The heritage balloon double deckers were a joy if noisy to travel on. There ard so few of them now.
Watched because we use to visit in late 50's when I was growing up in Stockport.
.Many memories of traveling across to Isle of Man from fleetw😢ood.
On approaching Blackpool at that time, there was a large
windmill, easier to see before the tower, pleasure beach - exciting
I remember Blackpool in the 60s went on holiday every year with my parents in September for the illuminations. I was only about 10 years old in those days before they altered the promenade it was much better than what it is now . In those days kids as i did used to build sand castles ect on the beach and it was packed even in September because the sand was always dry near the sea wall. But now its always wet since the promenade as been extended out to sea.
Worth going on a double decker Heritage Tram from Blackpool to Fleetwood and back better views from upstairs. Great video Stephen xxx
Was such a cloudy late morning.....but brightened up as no rain forecast.....what a lovely evening, reading a book on the garden.

Depending on the location, the memorial is to my old boss, John Shaw. John was the head of where is used to work at the Council. He died after suffering a stroke in the car park of Westgate House on the way to a meeting. There’s a disc on the top of the memorial with compass bearings to places relevant to him. The man was an absolute gentleman and most of who he left behind weren’t fit to stand in his shadow.

That car nearly knocked that girl over at Lyndel Rd, Fleetwood, as she was crossing the road. Brilliant vlog on the tram really enjoyed that Stephen. Walk With Me Tim has done a vlog on The Norbreck Castle Hotel, worth a watch.
Very good. Everytime my wife and I go to Blackpool we always take the tram to Fleetwood and have coffee in the cafe on the front.
You shaved off five to ten years. Much younger looking.

My uncle used to live in Bispham many years ago but got promoted and moved to Manchester. Laughed when I saw the bay windows on the houses my dear old mum used to say they look nice but are a beggar to clean.😊😊😊

Great video Stephen. The church with the green dome at Fisherman Walk used to be my school in 1980 - 1981. So glad you did this as I never rode the tram when we came back in August '06. This is how I went to and from school from Bispham. One day a bunch of us were coming out of school to catch the tram home, and a girl had tried to beat the tram, she had been knocked down and her left arm was under the tram. I always wondered how she was.

Cracking video mate really enjoyed it 😬👍. Can you cast your mind back years back was there a gaiety bar between the north pier and the tower I’m sure I visited it there in 1980 1st week in August me and my mates are having a debate to whether it was there or further along 😬
There is a karaoke bar called Gaiety near Central Pier.
Hi mate just chatted to a mate lol who was with us aug 80 and he confirmed the original Gaiety bar was between north pier and tower we watched Gerry and the pacemakers in there it was the only rainy day in the week 1st week aug 1980 rest of week scorching sunshine love your channel very nostalgic
Very good, about time someone did it - video quality is very good too - I thought new camera, but description says 2022. There's a famous 1953 film of London to Brighton by train in 4 minutes - upcoming You Tube short(?). Probly could do split screen of both sides of the tram.

Hi pal, many moons ago - about 12 years ago used to live on palatine road (96) when I was a student at Blackpool & the Fylde Uni. Wondering if you could walk around that area where the college is and up whitegate towards the belle vue pub and the park. Also remember Number 3 chippy being the best in Blackpool by a country mile closely followed by the chippy on the corner of Kent road & chapel street (that one does a Yorkshire fish cake, unbelievable stuff). I now
