I absolutely love this story, Pav. This is how we all started in FPV...the anxiety, the self-doubt, the failures, the crashes, the frustrations, but then the victorious moments that make it so worth it all. It's a love/hate relationship, but it's heart-racing, addictive, and the escapism and thrills remind us of our inner child who dreamed of flying one day. Thanks for sharing. 🙏❤️
This is an awesome video Pav! Really can see you were very intentional about how you approached FPV, and what it means for both your career and yourself. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!
Cheers Kai means a lot dude! I've been following your fpv journey since you started as well and I love the way you think when it comes to fpv flying. I see that you really try to up your level all the time with those 3 tips you mentioned, skill, subject and story 👍👍. Really awesome. Would be great to collab on a video one day even tho we live many miles away from each other but maybe we can think of a way haha. Keep going dude 👊🏽
Mate your storytelling is on a top-level, absolutely fantastic video!! Agree, FPV is quite hard at the beginning and requires a lot of dedication. Hope to see more of your FPV content and look forward to flying together!
Cheers Greg mate. Yeh as you know it's one of those frustrating but amazing hobbies because we're always learning with it and looking to improve no matter what level we are. Cheers for watching and yeh hope we can hit up another spot soon
everything does, otherwise you just sh*t at it and eventually will give up or fly once every six month looking for another distraction like a toy for an adult.
Bro!! Thanks so much for watching as ever! 😀 And yeh thanks man I hope so it would be nice but my consistency is lacking 😭. Well done on your channel as well man if I was a final cut user id be sitting there watching every second of your content
Cheers Tom! Big fan of your videos as well and have been a long time watched and subscriber so means a lot. Learnt a lot about cinematic fpv from you. Thanks for watching
Yessss mate thanks for all your help and advice throughout, it's really been huge and saved me loads of UA-cam research time 🤣🤣. Your level of freestanding is becoming really high now and Ive got everything crossed for you that you get more eyes on your flying which you deserve 💪🏽
@@pavguliani thank you broo🙏🙏🙏 same goes for your cinematics the sky is not the limit anymore for you 😉😁 it was a great journey man can't wait to see where the next 2 years will bring our drones 🤘
hi Pav and Marco, I'm Salvatore and like you I have a passion for stabilized drones and FPV. Pav when I saw your video you brought back many memories and excited me because like you I started during the pandemic and I understand that FPV flight is not easy. I'm happy to know that you two share the same hobby as me, I always fly alone because I don't know any friends in the vicinity with the same passion as me. greetings to both 🙏🙏
@thethrillofflyingadrone hi Salvatore! Yeah it is definitely better flying with some people then do it alone , my advice is trying to join some Facebook group and join other people if possible!! Anyway keep at it more and more people are starting to fly drones nowadays and you might find your next fiend at a bando! That's how I met pav! 😁👌
Hey Robert yeh mate was great to meet you today and glad you had a fantastic session there. I wasn't so lucky with my quad on that day but new parts ordered and lessons learned haha. Cheers for watching, appreciate it a lot and hope we run into each other again one day
Cheers dude that's so amazing to hear. Yeh learning the stuff I did about soldering and flying acro might sound like nothing to many but for me was a huge deal. Hope you're going well in your journey even if in early stages
I like your video. It was a familiar feeling to see the same things from another beginer. Yesteray I burned my FC that i never used before. I felt so emberaced about my decisions what i made during I was repairing, because I had no pocketmoney for another one. I couldn't face with my own fault. But after watching this video I feel differently. Now I am able to restart building even if I have to work for it more than I expected.
Oh amazing man that's so great to hear. Yeh fpv really is frustrating especially when you break stuff. If it makes you feel any better I broke my new apex frame the other day on the 3rd battery whilst also losing 2 motors, a vista and a hero 8 GoPro so was such an expense crash but there is always the chance of this happening and as I said in the video the mistakes don't hurt as much as they used to because it's part of the hobby. Thanks for watching
These last months i am thinking of jumping to the fpv world, but i cant decide if i will go with dji fpv or a custom one! Keep it up Pav! Always love your footage! Love from Greece.
Hey man! Long time, hope you're good. Thanks for watching. Yeh I'd go the custom route which takes a bit longer to learn but will be more beneficial to you in the long run rather than the DJI fpv drone which doesn't hold up well to crashes or fly as well as a smaller and lighter fpv drone carrying a GoPro.
Great content and story telling as always Pav, you`ve come on a long way with FPV! I haven`t made the leap to FPV yet but watching this is very inspiring!
Thanks a lot. Appreciate it big time. Yeh to be fair it's actually easier to start now then it was back in 2020 as DJI and companies like iflight have introduced ready to fly drones but all the same tye flying is still terrifying when you start 😂. Cheers for watching
Great video! Im telling my children this Flowstate / jks, kinda. Super interested in picking your brain? Where you really as prepared about knowing the challenges? Seems like most of us even if some what prepared are never as aware about all the things you listed off. Also interested in your cinematic experience before fpv? Thanks again for the work!
Hey Pav, you are one of the few other drone film makers I learn from..in the mutual learn from everyone ..and sure like everyone you think you reach a level and then there is another level ..keep doing it and sure we are all rubbish and we are are worst critics
Thanks a lot dude! Very nice if you to say and yeh I love incorporating drone stuff whenever I can into Vids 😀. I kno what you mean and I'm always looking to improve from others as well, it's all about learning and continuing to grow in our own time 👍
@@pavguliani I haven't ventured yet into FPV..yet, do you have any ideas about how it can be incorporated into story telling? i.e. function in visual narrative?
Ahh ok yeh I think for longer one take shots it can be very effective. Flying from one room to another or for chase scenes as it's quite fast and furious fpv. There are Def some areas that it can up the production value for narrative scenes
Gotta know. How long did it take you to produce this editing wise? How many itterations of 'final' did you go through? One film maker to another. Phenomenal job. Loving this idea and you've given me inspiration to do my own :D
Thanks a lot dude! You should def make your own video about your fpv story, would be awesomeness to see. Haha it took a while as I was trying to search all my old footage as well as create some new stuff so I had quite a lot to figure out plus a clear story that was not too long and boring 😂😂. Probably was working on it on and off for about a month in total
Hi Pav, This is a great short film. Very inspiring, I was looking for something else on after effects and came across this gem. I am on this journey w you. I am determined to become a working editor, and I am teaching myself AE. I too, have a buddy who is my biggest supporter. HA In the beginning I wanted to cry. I thought my mind couldn't handle so much. Let's face it. AE is a beast to learn, but it's starting to feel familiar, letting my fingers do the work. I am so present on this journey. I pat myself on the back a lot these days. I stay moving & learning. I was wondering did you film yourself and do all the editing? Keep inspiring & flexing your muscles... xx
Oh thanks a lot Luna thats very kind of you to say. Yes I know i've been with AE for 8 years now and still learning all the time as its always evolving. Can be frustrating at times but very rewarding overall to be able to create cool effects. Keep learning and practicing as that is where the joy lies. Yes this video I had my partner help me film a few shots of me and I filmed a few by myself as well like the ones of be climbing the mountain. Take care. Pav
