Ezra is a fucking Lt Commander at thisnpoint and he is a fucking Jedi. For someone who watched the Clone Wars, you still dont get how Ezra can call an audible on a mission?
To be fair, the bar for advancement in the Rebellion is A LOT lower than it is in the Grand Army of the Republic and while Ezra might have some Jedi training it's training he received from a Padawan who never completed his own training. All put together he's NOT the equivalent of what a Lt. Commander Jedi in the Republic army would have been.
But then again, he's just as if not more qualified to call an audible on a mission as Zeb or Ryder Azadi are. Zeb's never been the creative one in the group and Ryder's basically an amateur at this, he's a politician not a general.

@@ktvindicare BAHAHAHAHAHAHA They promote padawans who were younglings 5 seconds ago to full Commander. It was WAY easier back then. Ezra had to struggle and fight for YEARS after being taken as a padawan to be a Commander. And younglings have it sloooow and easy playing with remotes. Ezra growing up knew hardship, oppression, and what it meant to fight and grind. THAT was his youngling phase. And they just did open warfare full frontal assault type stuff, whereas Ezra along with other members of the Ghost Crew specialized in special operations surgical insert strikes taking down mass targets with limited resources type of missions, which is a skillset a very small proportion of those in the Republic had.
@@kevinzhang6623 why do I think Ezra should've had a yellow lightsaber instead of a green lightsaber? Yellow lightsabers are for Jedi Sentinels, who are more independent from the rest of the Jedi, and they also spend time involved in more clandestine duties such as helping citizens of the galaxy, etc. It would have been pretty cool to see another yellow lightsaber user imo.

Cause he's not a Sentinel. Lightsaber colors for Jedi had no genuine bearing on what position they held in the Temple. Its merely only fanfiction; their EU meanings are madeup and aren't actually relevant.

Everyone really tuned out when Sabine listed the long amount of very useful reasons why they should steal said info. Also, killing Thrawn would not end the show there's still like...the rest of the Empire.
Yeah - these guys are an annoying combination of:
1) Talking over important information and wondering why they later don't understand what's going on.
2) Misinterpreting the information they do hear and coming up with stupid takes.
But their reactions are well-produced, so I watch.
They only infiltrating the hanger to steal information from the TIE Defender not steal the ship unless the plan is compromised.

The TIE Defenders are absolutely the best Imperial ship to fly in Star Wars Squadrons. Even Darth Vader himself said in the canon novel Thrawn: Alliances that it should be mass produced.
If it had been mass produced, the Empire would’ve devastated the entire Rebel fleet if been used in the original trilogy

there is a reason we don't use jet fighters to take out like one dude standing in a field. I get maybe just having Zeb take out Thrawn with like a sniper but hitting a dude is really hard and saving ezra is more important than thrawn
19:01 - Thrawn isn't human, sure. But I think Marketa missed Chris' point, which was: Thrawn's a humanoid (body shape equivalent to a human). It's difficult to hit a single human-sized target from a moving aircraft. It's not really what they were designed to do.

Ezra is a jedi lt commander. He is around the same age as Anakin Skywalker in clone wars. Its not that special he can give commands?
I mean being critical is fine, but if your approach to watching something is always to force your own narrative, talk over useful information, and reject the story that's being told then I don't think you know how to enjoy storytelling. Why approach it with a contrarian mindset? It just seems stunted and mark of someone who doesn't know how to engage with media. Anyway, looking forward to the rest of these episodes.

Honestly, I only really watch them because I'm really superficial and their videos have good production value with nice visuals.
The quality of the actual reaction and engagement with Star Wars material is disappointingly low. They don't seem to know the lore very well (understandable because they're normies). They miss all the references to previous episodes and other shows/movies (because they talk over a lot of dialogue). They record several of these a week, so they're probably also tired.
But maybe that's a feature, not a bug.
I've observed in general that when reactors aren't engaged with what's going on, they tend to just make jokes and innane non-value-add comments to fill the silence. It's like when you're invited to a meeting and don't know/care what's going on. This is a job/business to them; they follow views and subscriptions.
We shouldn't necessarily interpret their willingness to watch a show as genuine interest and engagement in the material. I can't really blame them: it's hard to be interested in everything and to replicate the degree of enthusiasm of hardcore fans. For lore-heavy material like Star Wars, the gap becomes extremely obvious.
If a viewer wants casual fun times with what seems to be a cool group of people, this channel's pretty good.
If they want proper engagement with Star Wars material, Blindwave, Sesskasays or Gaxelle are the go-to channels I'd recommend. There are others too that you probably know.

Yes, they do. Quite a bit, actually. Rebels are always shooting out cameras. I first noticed them in _Star Wars 77_ when Luke, Han, and Chewie go into the control room to rescue Leia aboard the Death Star. They end up shooting out like 10+ cameras (or what certainly appear to be cameras) in the detention block.

Mickey just likes to complain a lot. Many of their reactions with him in it just depicts him as complaining and being bored all the time. You should watch their reaction to Revenge of the Sith. In the review part, Mickey states that the movie was boring including the fights and how he only likes the memes from it and the other prequel films. Out of all of them, Mickey has a deep hatred for the prequels even though the hate is now centered around the sequels. Nowadays, I just ignore him or watch reacts that don’t have him in it.
You guys complain so much. The characters are not as dumb as you keep saying they are.

particularly spidey this ep. few eps ago it was micky. honestly it's getting exhausting cause this is such a good series and they downplay it so much. zero appreciation for the characters aside from chopper and any animal. all surface level and nothing deep. suraj is the only reactor of the normies group that actually cares about star wars

Good thing their production value's so high! I stay for the pretty visuals and the occasional sharp/observant comment.

Unfortunately, that is not a Lambda shuttle, Chris. That is a Sentinel class shuttle, the larger cousin of the Lambda. 99% of all of the Imperial shuttles seen in Rebels have been Sentinel class shuttles. The only Lambda shuttle was in the episode earlier this season that Ezra and Sabine used to escape the exploding kyber crystal.

There's that one sect of Rebels viewers that just have it out for Ezra and Sabine. I don't know what it is. Annoying, selfish, bratty, like what? Are they not seeing what is being illustrated??
What did they miss from previous episodes that give them character progression
The TIE Interceptor should still be faster...the Defender's advantage was having shields, a navicomputer, and better weaponry, making it more of a match for the X-Wing or even B-Wing. I know, I know... NERD... but I wish Disney hadn't decided to ignore most of the stuff from the books that are now called "Legends". If anyone wants to read a lot about space battles, the X-Wing series is amazing.
Been reading the 1st Book of the Thrawn Trilogy, and its quite the ineresting read. The X-wing series also sounds right up my alley.
@@thelegendaryhusquin9906 I highly recommend it. The X-Wing series follows Wedge Antilles as he rebuilds Rogue Squadron after the events of the original movies. It goes into a lot of detail about the different types of ships, space battle tactics, etc, and there are some interesting characters.
@@camelotvfx you had some things wrong there in your original comment, they did specify some upgrades the TIE/D Defender Elite had, but not all. The Interceptor has a turnrate of 180 degrees a second, while the Defender Elite comes in at around 220-230 (iirc)? the Defender Elite's top speed is 1800 km/h, which is much faster than the Interceptor's 1250 km/h. it also wasnt shown in the video but the Defender Elite also has a tractor beam. Also the Defender is 130 MGLT and has a maxium acceleration of 4,300 G. Im not too sure again I forgot but I believe it could accelerate from 0 to 1800 kmh in less than a few seconds. So yeah no, theres no way in hell that a Interceptor could ever catch up.
as someone who read what feels like hundreds of legends books sorry man i am sooo glad they dump that. they should keep selling them cause there is good stuff but ha no 0.1% was worth anything.
The TIE Defender in this episode is a different model than what was used in Secret Cargo. Thrawn mentioned that this is an upgrade. Kind of like the difference between a P-51A and a P-51H.
I like how they just watched 7 seasons of a 14 year old padawan running around and had no complaints about her age in a warzone...
Meanwhile they have issue with a 17 year old Jedi and 19 year old Mandalorian being on a mission because "they're kids", bruh.

This is the lowest point of any Stormtrooper representation in the SW canon universe 😭😂 almost makes it impossible to take the Empire seriously
Whenever I think about these two troopers and the cats, I think, “the Empire really should’ve stuck with the Clones”
While the clones were mostly the same as soldiers, the Stormtroopers are from all over the galaxy, vastly more diverse than the clones. So there’s going to be a lot more variation in personalities and skillsets; some Stormtroopers are incredibly competent, some are terrible, and some are in-between. Just because these two troopers were some of the worst doesn’t mean that all other Stormtroopers are the same.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain I completely understand that, I know stormtroopers can be really effective,, especially when they’re not fighting main characters with plot armor. But the incompetency of those two was just dumbfounding; it is a “kids” show so the enemy is mostly a bunch fools besides the main villain (Thrawn). Still, if I had to make a case to why the Empire should’ve stayed with Clones who, ALL had the same standard of training and high level of competence; then those two troopers would be my exhibit A
@@JCShadow0202 Yeah, but unfortunately, cloning is a long and expensive process. And through this costly process they could never consistently produce the numbers that could even compare to the numbers they could get from galaxy-wide conscription. Clones are also vulnerable to potentially bio-weapons that target their genetic structure. Such a thing would cripple the Empire if they relied purely on clones for their army.
We do know from canon sources like The Bad Batch series that the Empire did not phase clones out completely, but maintained specialised units for various purposes. Even some of the Emperor’s Royal Guards were clones. So the Imperial military still counted clones among their number. And Thrawn is far from the only non-foolish Imperial in this show. Ones like Governor Pryce have actually been quietly competent throughout most of the show. And the heroes will soon find themselves against an enemy far more intelligent and dangerous than even Thrawn this season.

Thrawn always wanted that to be the empire’s main weapon over the Death Star. A bunch of top of the line fighters that you could buy and use over an expensive Death Star.

Oh Force be Good, I hope to Force we see TIE defenders in live action in the future, now that Thrawn is back to re-order their design and construction. Why did they disappear off the face of the galaxy after that one fuel supply blowing up and Thrawn's disappearance anyway? I dunno.
