Instead of sheet music, I made these sheets of the letter names of the notes:
Sheet pg. 1 download: www.mediafire.c...
Sheet pg. 2 download: www.mediafire.c...
Sheet pg. 3 download: www.mediafire.c...
Sheet pg. 4 download: www.mediafire.c...

This style of writing the music is so helpful and having it downloadable is even better. By no means do I want sheet music to ever die off and I know the skill is very important to have/maintain...but unfortunately for myself, I've lost fluency in reading music over the years. I needed to learn this song quickly for a performance. This was a lifesaver
Hi I’m like five years late but!! I just wanted to say this was by far the easiest tutorial for me to follow because of how you wrote your music :) I have a hard time reading sheet music so that was a huuuge help, thank you!
This is literally one of the best tutorial videos I've ever seen for into the unknown. The sheet music is definitely creative for people that don't read notes. It can be tedious to do sheet music on a staff I suppose. I'll be learning this. Thank you!
Thank you do much for making this tutorial! :D it's hard to find tutorials that use the letters of the notes and not the stave
You are doing God's work
Excellent video. Very informative and easy to understand. My question though, where is part two o.o
Thank you! I'm glad it came across clearly :)
Part two might take another week or so, but it's definitely coming!
Thank you so much for this! Any update on part 2 (or even just the "sheets" since that's all I used anyway)? I've played through this part a hundred times by now and have come as close as I can to mastering it.
I'm sorry it's been taking me so long, but I'm working on the tutorial now! As an apology for my sluggish speed, I'll upload the sheets for part two in the description of this video as soon as I finish them. Check back in a day or two :)
Thank you so much! My keyboard's too big to take up to school with me this year so I'm aiming to get this done before I go back on Saturday.
Great work and thanks for being responsive!
***** The rest of the sheets are now available! I'm pretty sure there are no mistakes, and if there are, I'll fix them when I'm filming the video. Check the links in the description!
THANK YOU!!!!
I am so in love with this short series.
Omg please I need part 2!
It's a wonderful cover and i can't wait to play the whole song!*.*
You sir are amazing this is by far the best tutorial I have found yet!!! Thank you so much!!
This is incredibly helpful and informative, thank you so much! It's also my favorite cartoon series so this is great
This is a really amazing tutorial! I cant wait for part two! Thanks to you I may actually be able to play something beautiful! (And something that is ba ba black sheep XD)
Do you think Maybe you could also put regular sheet music in the description too please? I just feel like some people might find It easier to play later if they can see the actual stuff. It's okay if you don't is just prefer it if you could.
I loved your cover!!
And I love you for this tutorial as well!
You've earned a new subscriber~^^
THANK YOU SO MUCH
YOUR AWESOME
Love you so much for this, thank you!❤
man these vids are the best
Okay, if I'm correct, piano is concert pitched, so if I transpose this to a Bb Clarinet/Trumpet notes, I can possibly make a trumpet-clarinet-piano trio.
Ooo good luck!
I like your voice. Both talking and singing.
is beautiful
holy shit your voice is magnificent
This is great! One question, what grade would this be? I don't think it's too challenging, maybe Grade 2 or 3 because of the arpeggios and octaves? I am currently on Grade 5 so I just want end to know.
Awesome thanks! Any idea when part two will be out?
Right now I'm working on finishing an A Cappella video on my other channel, but as soon as that's done, part two is my main focus!
This video is brilliant, thank you! :)
thanks for the tutorial!
great video, it will be very helpful.
But don't you have a sheet with staves of this? I'm not used to see the names of the notes that way and this confuses me more than a normal piano sheet...
Thank you! I made sheets like this because other people on the Internet have already made real sheet music for this song, and it's not very hard to find after a quick google search. The sheets I made are to help people who might get immediately discouraged when their only option is normal sheet music. Also, for the sake of a video tutorial, I find it easier to make a connection between my speaking and the letter names when they're right on the screen :)
MyOwnPersonalChannel it seems that I didn't search well enough, i couldn't find anything. I'll search again xD
I found a pretty good version on the first page of google results linking to a page on the Over The Garden Wall subreddit :)
MyOwnPersonalChannel
That version isn't all that good, yours sounds way better, and i'm pretty sure there's something wrong on the second part of the body...not that i'm any good at this
Does anybody have the chords to this song?
Thank you! It's really helpful. :)
This video is great. One nitpicky thing, though: those should be flats rather than sharps. That way you have A flat and G next to each other rather than G sharp and G, and you have an A flat major chord with A flat, C, and E flat, rather than a G sharp major chord with a C in it (Cs are not usually in g major chords; the third in a G sharp major chord is technically a B sharp).
Thank you for the feedback! When I was writing down the letters for this song, I actually had a hard time deciding if I wanted to do that. I ended up deciding that it would be more consistent and less confusing to just stick to sharps, especially since this half of the song is in C# minor, which has four sharps and no flats. I guess by doing that, my lettered sheets ended up focusing more on the individual notes within the key signature than on the chords.
I hope doing this didn't throw too many people off! And again, thank you for your feedback! It helps me re-examine what I create and how I present it in order to do even better next time :)
captainparadoxius yeah, if I was referring to a G# Major chord as an Ab Major, or with a C in the middle instead of a B#, that's technically incorrect and it's an inconsistency that I'll definitely look out for in the future. I want to try not get too confusing with accidentals when the key signature only contains C#, D#, F#, and G#. The intention with making lettered sheets and not sheet music was to help people who don't read (or have a really hard time reading) sheet music, since sheet music for this song is already pretty easy to find through google.
please, a properly sheed! :/ use the finale please
Post every week 😧😩😩😩
thank you for this oh my goshhh
this is much easier than learning from synthesia ahaha
