Thank you for watching! I really appreciate!! 🤘🏻🩷🔥 Just to clarify, in the video, I said that Chris’s brother Adam passed away “a few years later” , but I meant to say “a few years ago” since it actually happened on April 4th 2022. RIP Legend ♥️
Loving the nostalgia and weed obscured memories I get from all these early deathcore/Myspace era vids. Some of the side projects and earlier bands you mention are names I haven't heard since the days of the totaldeathcore blog posting regularly. You should highlight the track the breakdown/riff is from when you show the tracklists with song clips. Some of the early breakdowns are sick in a simple but forgotten way, but I can't listen to a whole ass myspacecore EP in 2024 to find them lol. Idk if your newer vids are like this, but it feels like it's missing that little touch for clarity. Cheers, breeee breeeee bree. Eternal Shredded Wheat to you and your kin.
Back in the metal scene days of East Texas. King conquer came to play a local show. Show got cancelled, so my buddy had asked his grandma if we could use her front porch to do the show. Kc and every other band showed ip and threw down for free on an old lady’s back porch. One of the coolest down to earth bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing a beer with!
A lot of these old deathcore bands were very ahead of their time in their own special aspects, which makes each band unique. I wouldn't doubt if a lot of modern brutal deathcore bands used to listen to a lot of King Conquer, Waking the Cadaver and Elysia Seperate note, but did you ever listen to With Blood Comes Cleansing? They were one of those Christian deathcore bands that ripped your face and honestly didn't seem christian until you looked into them. Anyway, they had great inhaled pig squeals
i was totally obsessed with these guys at one point. before i could drive my dad drove us to a their show in SoCal (4 hours) with The Last Ten Seconds. still got the videos on this chanel to this day. i couldn't get enough how far they pushed this genre; definitely kind of paged my way into a love for slamming brutal death a short time later

Chris the drummer is in a band with a guy I use to play in a band with Kyle now called bodysnatcher if you haven't heard them(which I'm sure most have) go check their shit out!! R.I.P Adam
I grew up in south west florida and remember going to local shows while in high school seeing king conquer. Great video, thanks for giving them them the spotlight!
I love when you find an old video performance and there are a bunch of dudes hardcore dancing in front of the band, it just makes my day. Great video, never heard of these guys but they sound good.
was awesome when the hardcore culture/scene was more connected to it; I remember seeing the most brutal bands looking like straight up out of Abercrombie and Fitch wearing sandals on stage, sometimes barefoot, going nuts.
I saw these guys like 12 or 13 years ago in a small bar in jersey, and ended up meeting my 1/2 brother that I hadn’t seen in years there and we moshed together, it was a very nice family reunion
My dad was actually friends with Adam when I was younger and I met him and hung out with his kids from time to time. My dad actually also drew the King Conquer logo.. And Brody stayed with us for a while in Naples too. Small world..
woah i was just listening to dark skies have fallen recently (totally random, i was clicking recommended videos) and i had no clue it was king conquer.
Deathbed was honestly such an amazing way for King Conquer to go out I love that song and it was just so cool to get a goodbye like that. Just one last heavy ass song for you f*ckers! They definitely had an amazing career. And the music they left us with is impeccable
I literally just put their " Decomposing Normality" EP into my stereo sytem when I got notification about this upload haha please do Knights Of The Abyss next
Ohh yeaa! I loved King Conquer! Great video as always. I know you probably get a lot of requests. But the bands “Volumes” or “Animosity” would be awesome to see in your future videos 😁🤘
I remember seeing King Conquer in 2011 at the Westcoast Bar in the UK. they were part of the Suffokate and Blind Witness tour. it was their 1st time in the UK at the time and holy fuck James's vocals were insane plus they were the 1st band at the venue I went to brake the PA system at the time too
So my brother had a band called A Dank Season. Or ADS back then. And we grew up with the guys from King conqueror went to school with Adam and Brodie a matter of fact Brody was my brother's best friend for years before he died. We used to play shows with them locally all the time. Those guys were a bunch of awesome motherfukers and some of the funnest shows we ever played was with them. I was featured in one of the EP for a dank season. Call battery on Leo which is what the EP ended up being called. We wrote the song in my garage and brought it to the lead singer of a dank season at the time and we ended up recording it together and I got to go on stage and perform it live a bunch of times. There is nothing more exhilarating than performing live on stage at a heavy metal show.
Great video as usual! One my favorite old school deathcore bands! I found them on Decomposing Normality! Luckily I got to see them live in Florida and Texas and it was a banger each time! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

33:30 I gotta interfere here and defend John Byrd! The guy quite frankly miscalculated and sold more merch than they had left. At the time I thought it was a huge scam and sent him an angry dm calling him names and whatever and to my surprise he replied and in a friendly manner too. He said he f ed up and apologized. He told me that he thought they had more merch left than they actually had. Perhaps the drugs played a role and he genuinely mixed up some numbers. Anyways, I got my money back. I felt really bad when he passed because I knew that despite his bad rep he was a good dude
I booked these guys around the time they kicked out Jon. He was SUCH a dick to EVERYONE. Every band, local and touring, venue employees, and the promoters. The rest of the band were super sweet, but he was such an awful dude that it soured my opinion of them. I cannot imagine touring with him. Kicking him out was an absolute no-brainer. Imo, he kicked himself out.

One small critique: a lot of times I think you don’t seem to mention a bands influences that pre-date a lot of the stuff you THINK they were trying to sound like.
