When you find those small elevation changes on flat land, do you hunt on the lower end or the higher end?

That’s a good question. I normally set up on the higher elevation because it usually has better trees for a stand/saddle.
I face the lower elevation if that’s where the main trail is on the edge.
Sometimes the main trail is on the edge of the higher elevation because it’s not in the water, but really close to it.

I used to be that guy that had the mentality that I needed a big open area to have lots of shooting opportunities. For that last few years, I have been getting deeper into the covered areas/travel areas of deer. Your videos confirm that I am doing the right thing and can probably be even more aggressive with my stand locations on public land. Thanks again and keep up the videos!
